It was a small group of just five, which made the experience feel even more special. Our tour guide, Roman, was very friendly and guided us through the best routes to enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the mountains and the magical singing dunes. The homestay was cozy and welcoming, with delicious home cooked meals that added so much warmth to our stay. Overall, it was a wonderful way to experience the beauty, culture, and charm of Baashi Village.

We had a fabulous experience in our private tour to the canyons and the lakes. Zandhos was our private guide and he gave us a splendid experience. He was calm, composed and trustworthy. He explained the significance of the sites we visited with a lot of passion and guided us through the journey. He was also sensitive to give us enough time by ourselves to soak in the experiences especially at the lakes where we wanted to spend more time. Overall I would recommend this private tour and Dos was a fabulous English speaking guide and is highly recommended.

This tour experience was fantastic from start to finish! I did have to write to the company directly & request to be able to book solo, but once on the tour there were several other solo travelers so I think that may have been a Viator control, not the operator. Communication was clear & thorough from before the tour even began, both from the company prior to my trip, and from our tour guide the day before. Axsultan, or Ax, was one of the best tour guides I've ever had, especially on a tour like this which was only 2 days, with a fairly large group of ~32 people. I lucked out with a great group of travelers, for sure, but Ax also had a lot to do with keeping the energy of the whole group positive and exciting. Ax speaks excellent English, and he made sure to give clear directions & info about the country, places we saw, and details about pickup times, meeting times, options for what to do at the various sites, etc, which was very much appreciated! He also gave some good recs for Almaty after the tour. I cannot complain about anything from this 2 day tour with Ax, and I'd add that if you're debating between the long 1 day trips covering the same sites vs this option, go for overnight if you have the time. It's well worth it!

Fascinating insight to Kazakh nomadic history with a wide range of activities. My driver stayed with me for the entire experience and made sure I was looked after and took photos and videos on my phone for me as I was travelling alone. The door to door service in a clean and modern car was also appreciated. Book this tour and you will not be disappointed, it is the best trip I have been on during my time in Central Asia.

Our tour to Charyn Canyon, Kaindy Lake, and Kolsay Lake was an unforgettable experience. Every place we visited was truly magnificent, and each destination had its own unique charm and beauty. The 16-hour tour can be tiring, but it was absolutely worth it for the incredible experiences and breathtaking scenery along the way. The amount we paid was definitely worth it, considering everything we got to see and experience. The van was comfortable, and our tour guide was accommodating, helpful, and made the journey more enjoyable. Overall, this tour was one of the highlights of my trip to Kazakhstan. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Kazakhstan. It is a must-do experience!

Chill and relax trip. Everything is hassle free. Everything is good about the trip however, I think it maybe a little short? Anyway, still a good trip. Our guide Yerkin is also knowlegeable about the place and has shared helpful information. His extra effort with the drone shots is a big plus. Big Almaty lake’s beauty is easily seen with those drone shots.

Karina was an amazing tour guide. She is very energetic, friendly, and easy to talk to. She made sure everyone felt included and comfortable throughout the trip. She kept the group engaged, helped us take nice photos, and always reminded us of the timings so everything ran smoothly. She also shared helpful tips on what to do in Almaty, including food, places to visit, and other tours to try with Panda Tours. Her recommendations were very useful and made our trip even better. Karina is very organised, caring, and attentive. She always checked on us and made sure everyone was enjoying. You can really see that she loves what she does. I would definitely join this tour again, and I hope to have Karina as our guide next time. Highly recommended.

This was by far the best tour I've been on, and it was entirely due to my guide, Alan. Astana is a fascinating city, but Alan elevated this experience even more with his incredible knowledge and genuine passion for the Kazakh people and culture. There are guides... and then there are guides of Alan's level. I have taken many tours and never had a guide like Alan. All in all, this is a great introduction to some of Astana's incredible sights. If you have limited time in Astana, highly recommend this tour. If you can get Alan as your guide, it will be even better.
