What are people saying about Istanbul

The best way to discover a city
Ali is a brilliant guide, and I mean that in every sense. He remembered everyone's names and dietary requirements from the off, which as a vegetarian I really appreciated. There was something for me at every single stop without me having to ask or feel like an afterthought. That kind of thoughtfulness makes a real difference.
His knowledge of Istanbul goes well beyond the usual tourist script. We'd done a monuments tour earlier in the trip, but Ali's insight into the city's culture, people, and history felt on another level entirely; peppered with fun, unexpected facts that kept everyone engaged throughout.
He took us to places we'd never have stumbled across ourselves, including a wonderful spot in the Egyptian Spice Market where we weren't hassled once. Ali deliberately picks vendors like that. We liked it so much we went back on our own later in the trip to buy. The tour also ends with a ferry crossing to the Asian side, which is a lovely touch; some of the group headed back with Ali while we stayed to explore a little longer.
The food itself was a fantastic variety, and the portions are no joke. We were absolutely stuffed by the end. Do yourself a favour and arrive hungry. Seriously, skip breakfast.
The group dynamic was brilliant too. Everyone chatted and got involved as we wandered around, which made it feel like so much more than just a tour. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Great way to experience Istanbul on a long layover
My family (kids, parents, and grandparents) loved our food tour with Zeynep on our long layover in Istanbul. It was the perfect way to get a lot of Turkish food culture from a fun local in a short amount of time. On top of all that, Zeynep was incredibly helpful in communicating with our driver as we had a somewhat complicated luggage/hotel situation at the end of the tour and we don't speak Turkish. Definitely a highlight of our short stay in town.

Great tour and guide
Zey was outstanding. She was very personable and knowledgeable. The street foods were delicious, her explanation of the Dervish experience was very informative and the restaurant and food selections were perfect. Finally she went out of her way to make sure we were able to find our way back to our hotel. This was a great tour and Zey was a wonderful guide.

Fantastic food tour with...
Fantastic food tour with Onder as the best guide. He knew the city very well, took me to the best food tastings and gave a very interesting commentary at each stage of the tour. It is difficult to choose my favorite food as all were so incredible. Highly recommend this tour along with Onder as a guide.

Not your standard tour, Better!
This was so very interesting and totally different than the standard tour. While I certainly saw a number of key sites and learned a great deal of history and culture this was the by no means a 'standard' tour. My tour guide was honest and open about the culture, the history, the city and anything that I asked. Additionally, I have to say, the lunch he took me on was one of my absolute favorites. It was clear why the locals ate there and I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

Comprehensive and enjoyable tour of the main sites in Istanbul
Our guide was Errol and he was super friendly, open and very well informed
As it says in the description you visit all the key sites, understand what they are and why they are there and then if you want to go back and enjoy in more detail you can. The tours also included a meander through a couple of markets and plenary of time for general chat about the city, customs and food with lots of tips. It’s about 3.5 hours so you might want to stop for a coffee half way. It’s a great intro to the city and Errol was an excellent host.

Sign up for this tour if you like food and culture!
This is one of the best tours we have experienced! It’s very unique! Our guide, Tolga, was extremely knowledgeable, patient, and kind. He introduced us to areas and excellent restaurants that we would not have tried on our own. He went out of his way to make sure we are happy and content. Each and every place we tried and passed by were amazing. If you like trying new food, you should sign up for this tour. Would give this more than 5 stars if we could! Thank you, Tolga, for an unforgettable experience!

Great length and value
Great value, lovely tour guide, very well paced. The places they chose to take us to were amazing, the best food we had in that area of the city. Mel was also really great at sharing facts and history and answering any questions, plus gave recommendations for other sights to see.

One of the best things to do in Istanbul
Lovely cruise - just the right amount of time. And the pickup and return to our hotel was worth every penny. Istanbul traffic on the weekends is brutal.
We loved the cruise sites narrative - very funny and informative with plenty of breaks to just enjoy the views . We were given blankets since it was a sunset cruise in October but didn’t really need them. The appetizers were delicious .
I had actually missed our cruise on arrival day because of my error - and the company worked with the cruise operators to get me on one the next day- I am very appreciative. !

Must Request Erol as Guide!
It's just 2 weeks since I've returned from my trip to Istanbul and as I reminisce my trip through my numerous photos, the standout excursion of our trip to Istanbul was our guided fooding and culture tour with Erol. My friends and I learned so much from Erol's very passionate knowledge of origins of food and Turkish culture. We started off with breakfast pastries and the Spice Market on the European side and then really got to taste many delights on the Asian side. We discovered and fell in love with borek (filled with savory potatos is my fav), menemen (no onions!) and lamucun (turkish pizza) with aryan (salted milk). Erol, I tried to purchase of a few of these food items after our tour, and your versions were indeed so much better. We consider ourselves very fortunate to have had Erol as our food guide as he truly took us to the BEST local favorites to try the very best versions of all popular Turkish street foods. We also really enjoyed the deep conversations that covered so many unlikely topics. Erol was a true joy and speaks perfect English. Thank you for making our first trip to Istanbul unforgettable and so enjoyable Erol.
