Handsome Hero Henry is the man!

We had a great trip to the DMZ with our guide, Handsome Hero Henry. Henry was an excellent guide, spoke perfect English and helped to make the experience enjoyable. It would have been good to have a dedicated lunch stop, but overall the trip was enjoyable. It was an early morning and long day, but if you’re in Seoul the DMZ is an important historical site to visit.

Our tour was conducted by Gabby and this tour was GREAT! Gabby did a great job explaining Korean history and war history without making the experience boring (especially for younger children - we had kids ranging from 9yo to 13yo). The stops were just long enough to enjoy each site fully without feeling rushed or too long. I would highly recommend using VIP tour group for your DMZ tour and booking with Gabby as your guide.

Great day at the DMZ

We booked this tour thru Viator, and everything was easy and perfect. We were "Team Nancy"..... Nancy was our tour guide and she was so joyful to be around for the 8 hour tour. Her explanations of the DMZ and the places we visited were informative and thorough. She was good to keep the entire group on task and on tour. We didn't leave any of the places late because of any stragglers because she made sure everyone knew what time to be back at the bus after each stop. It was a full day and had such great variety in the things we were able to see at the DMZ, as well as the places around (like the suspension bridge). There were plenty of bathrooms available, the tour bus was air conditioned and very nice (Nancy's photo was on the side of the bus so it was very easy to find in the parking lots full of busses, and we felt like she was our tour guide SuperStar! We learned a lot, got some good exercise, and the third tunnel is no joke....it's a steep climb coming out of there, even for a 49 and 47 year old in decent shape. So glad we did this tour, and even happier that Nancy was our guide. If we could just get world leaders to get along as well as she did with us!

Absolutely worthwhile, extremely good value adventure among Ha Long Bay’s gorgeous islets. The 3 stops included kayaking through a cave to an enclosed area with monkeys (row boats available for people with less energy), a guided walk through Surprise Cave and then Titop Island where you can either walk to the viewpoint (about 100m up, lots of steps) to enjoy fabulous views or chill on the beach. The tour itself was very well organized. Our home base was the boat Vera Cruise where we were served a delicious lunch as we left the cruise terminal. Staff were available at all times; beyond the included lunch there was a comprehensive beverage menu. Our guide Quan was great and kept us on track time-wise. The day we went was unusually crowed due to 2 big ships in town that day and the weather was overcast/hazy but we still had a fantastic time.

Jackie was our guide and...

Jackie was our guide and he did a great job explaining the timeline and history of events that led to a North and South Korea. All of the sites were great, and the tunnel was incredible! Caution: if you are tall and have a bad back (like me) take some ibuprofen beforehand because you are bent over for most of the way in the tunnel. Would recommend this tour for history buffs and those that want to learn more about Korea. If you can get ‘Jackie the Storyteller’ it’s worth it!

Fantastic Trip to Halong Bay!

Fantastic luxurious trip to Halong bay which was enjoyable from start to finish. Everything was so easy to organise, we were picked up in a high end bus from our hotel and taken to the most beautiful boat. The boat was nicer than some of the hotels we stayed in in the cities. The highlight of the trip were the staff. They were kind, helpful, funny and very personable. We loved the activities and I even managed to catch a squid when fishing! You will not be hungry on this boat, with delicious food and a buy one get one free happy hour on the first night too! Brilliant trip, would highly recommend to anyone.

Lots of Hilly Walking but Worth the Time

Even if you are in good shape, the tunnel tour is a killer. Take water and be prepared (I saw someone wearing sandals today - yikes). Our guide, BJ, was incredible. If you are lucky enough to have him lead your tour, you are in for a treat. The 9+ hour day zoomed by because he was so much fun. Highly recommend this package.

Everything was very nice, and the quality/price ratio was very good! The personnel were very friendly; the boat is in a good condition and clean; the food was delicious (the breakfast could have been a little bit more, but they served lunch pretty soon, so it was ok). The Ha Long Bay, the scenery, the caves the water, everything was superb! I recommend to anyone at least once in a lifetime to take this cruise!

Easy and beautiful

We had a great experience in Halong Bay. The bay is beautiful, and well worth the 3 hour drive from Hanoi. We were on the Sea Coral, and the crew was well organized and accommodating. The room size was huge allowing space for the kids to play, and food was great with options for both kids and adults. Planning was easy with coordination through messenger for transportation to/from the port. We highly recommend this experience.

Great way to see ha long bay.

Well organized tour lasting about 24 hours. The staff worked really hard to make everything go seamlessly. They give you an itinerary right at the very start and stick to it throughout the time. The staff were very pleasant and service oriented. The facilities were good just as they look in the photos. The food was great, the scenery speaks for itself, and the boating/kayaking/swimming/cooking class, etc.. were all good things to keep you occupied. There were small just sufficient breaks so it didn't feel rushed. I also enjoyed meeting other travelers in a setting that was small enough <50 passengers, that you got to talk to people if you wanted to do so.
