Jetski's out of control. Gasoline Beach
Great place. I have been three times. But this time the jetski's vendors were out of control . To close to the people swimming and the tour boats as well. There was no Respect for the people swimming. And the smell of gasoline was too much. Something needs to be done about this.

Private Boat Trip
Excellent trip. We were able to customize the trip to our liking and had a really friendly crew. José and Fernando were great.

Our guide was great! She met us on time at the meeting point, we boarded a van that took us an hour away from Cartagena. While en route our guide told us some more history and the plan for the day. She was very helpful! When we arrived to the beach area we walked down to a small boat that took us to a smaller beach away from lots of crowds and most vendors. Only a few to say no gracias to and got sucked into an overpriced massage haha but overall a very relaxing day!

  • Don’t forget to bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat, as shade can be hard to come by on the beach.

  • Pack a swimsuit and a towel if you want to get into the water.

  • Consider staying the night on the island to see it at its quietest, after the day trippers have left.

  • Plan to spend a full day on Baru Island; guided excursions typically last upwards of six hours.
