What are people saying about Chiang Mai

We had a great time. Out...
We had a great time. Out guide was T and he took many great photos for us. The elephants were the highlight and I would think the sanctuary was more on the ethical side (no riding) with feeding and interacting. We didn't expect much of the waterfalls but it was lots of fun climbing and not slipping down. Overall definitely recommend if you want a fun time with elephants well taken care of. (don't if you want the absolute ethical experience where you see elephants from far a way)

Book it!
A great tour! We were nervous it would feel rushed, but it was well paced and we didn’t feel like we needed extra time at any of the spots. Our guide Nat was incredibly informative and shared with us so much about Chiang Rai and Thailand as a whole. She taught us common phrases, how to count, and even what our names are in Thai! Nat definitely went above and beyond. She is the best tour guide I’ve experienced thus far. The tour is a large group (40 people) but it didn’t feel crowded once we were at the spots. Super organized and a great day trip!

A Temple Tour not to be missed
This is a full day tour travelling to the far north of Thailand near to its borders with Laos and Myanmar, so be prepared to spend a long time in the car. It is however totally worth it. You will visit the three villages of Rong Kuhn, Rong Suea Ten and Huay Pla Kang in the Chiang Rai region and their Temples ‘White’, ‘Blue’ and ‘Red’ respectively. Each of these places is a stunning experience and we learned much from our guide Ratchavasit who was friendly and helpful throughout, answering all and any questions throughout the day. He focused particularly on the sustainability aspects of the trip and the history of each temple, emphasising their central function within the villages in which they are located. We must also congratulate our driver Mr Boi who drove in a manner and with skill which clearly demonstrated his consideration for the comfort of all nine of his passengers.
We would definitely recommend this tour and we would happily travel with Ratchavasit and Mr Boi again. Thank you!

Delightful class
We were picked up promptly at our hotel by Natty, our instructor for the day. After a market stop, we went to the farm where they had a wonderful set-up to teach, individual stations under roof. Natty took us thru their plant area and then we cooked! Eight people in our group so it was easy for her to show individuals who needed help. We liked the morning instruction so much, we stayed and paid a bit extra to get all day class! Natty sent us pictures they took and the link for the recipes.

The overall experience...
The overall experience was wonderful. We were picked up from our hotel within our window. We were lucky that our group was quite small so made everything much easier, moving, trekking, waiting at bathroom stops.
Galaya our guide was very sweet and she was super energetic and made us try different fruit and made sure our needs were covered.
She took a ton of photos as well and sent them to us at the very end.
The day trip is generally long and gets hectic, so be prepared with some snacks. Lunch was towards the very end so any fruit or snacks we bought were essential for energy levels. The 2.5km trek is about 2.5h for a small fit group of people, I’d say it could take longer if you have people on your group who need to go at a slower pace. We literally ran a lot, any steps going up we’d run and rest but also stopped a lot for photos and some historic info. Make sure you have a rain jacket (may weather), good shoes (climbing are best but we had regular running and cross fit shoes on and it was fine, a bit slippery).
The drive from and back to Chiang Mai didn’t feel super long, about 1.5h but went by pretty quick and our driver was also fast, very sweet man.
Because we went in May, we couldn’t see the gorgeous views of the village from above when reaching the peak because of the fog so keep that in mind for rain season.

Early start but worth every minute
This was a great tour and a wonderful introduction to the temples outside the Old City. It's an early start but so worth it to see the sunrise on Doi Suthep and how the monks go about their morning rituals. Tom was a great guide. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing day
Amazing expirience! We booked a private tour and were alone with the elephants all day. We walked them, fed them and bathed them. Elephants were calm and happy and eating a lot!! The elephants freely decided the pace and we followed them. We will never forget this day!

Outstanding
Amazing experience for our whole family. It is a long day but that's what you would expect for a 3 in 1 day.
Food was good at elephant sanctuary but more water during the day would have been better. Consider taking your own water too.
Not as strenuous as you might imagine either... overall GREAT day

Excellent Tour and phenomenal Guide
Excellent. The Tour was organized in an excellent manner. Andy the Tour guide was phenomenal. He was very knowledgeable and explained things very well. Andy was very cooperative and cared about guest also he was very professional in his conduct. A great appreciation for Andy. Doi INTHANON NATIONAL PARK is worth visiting. The whole day you are immersed in a nature friendly environment. The Tour does involve walking on steep steps and some steep height. So you have to have an intermediate fitness to fully enjoy the tour. Visit to DOI INTHANON NATIONAL PARK is Highly Recommended. The company Wendy's Tour is Highly Recommended as well.

Great day!
Mumu was a great guide. She was funny, informative and very responsive to all of our needs. It was a bit chillier on the mountain top than I expected but it was beautiful and the lunch was exceptional. All in all it was a fun and informative nature day.

An amazing introduction to Chiang Mai
Fantastic tour of Wat Umong, Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, a jade market, and the oldest temple in Chiang Mai. We covered so much in a short period of time, but never felt rushed. Our guide, PT, was really informative, sharing the history and meanings behind everything we saw. We were admittedly a bit jet-lagged (1st day in CM), but the tour was really fascinating.
