What are people saying about Chiang Mai

Great way to see Chiang Mai!
We had a great day with our tour guide, Love. She was super knowledgeable about the temples and all things Thailand. The tuk tuk was fun to ride around in and all of the temples were beautiful. Some other highlights were making a custom silver bracelet at the Silver Temple & getting blessed by a Monk.

Sunrise hike
Our tour guide was Sama and he was excellent. He was personal and very knowledgeable. We did the early sunrise tour. We got lucky and went on the Buddha’s birthday and there were 800 monks there. We like hiking and the hike down to the next temple was fun. I would highly recommend this tour.

I hope you get a Maggie experience
We went to several temples and a market. Maggie was our guide and she is what makes this tour so special. She is a very sweet person and has a passion for the Buddhism and Thailand. Thank you Maggie for being a part of our Thailand story and letting us get to know you and your culture.

Memorable city tour
We went on the Chiang Mai best city tour on our first full day in Thailand. Som was an excellent guide, she spoke really good English and explained all the different customs at the different temples we visited, she was really friendly and helped us to have a wonderful memorable first day in Thailand.

Book this tour! Ask for Tong!
My wife and I had the best day in Chiang Rai, and maybe the best tour we've ever booked with Viator! The temples were absolutely incredible, once-in-a-lifetime, but what (or should I say who) made the day for us was our guide, Tong! He was hilarious, engaging, beyond courteous, incredibly accommodating, very knowledgeable, and he's practically a professional photographer. It wouldn't have been the same experience without him! Book this tour! Ask for Tong!

A Great Day Trip
Our guide Poong Kie is excellent. She is very friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. She speaks English well and shared a wealth of information about Thailand’s culture, history, and religion. Our driver was also excellent. It was a long drive, but he was always smiling and provided a cold wipe and a chilled bottle of water every time we returned to the car. The lunch was delicious, and Poong Kie provided snacks along the way. I really enjoyed the trip despite it being a long day. I highly recommend it.

A Fun-filled day
Great day with Ronnie and Mr Aom (excellent driver). The sticky waterfalls were fantastic and completely doable (go in the morning to avoid crowds). The Buo Tang Cave was a peaceful stop, and the Golden Pagoda was worth a viewing, and the view of Chiang Mai city was panoramic. Ronnie was engaging and helpful, and took many photos.

A fun adventure!
Super fun day of caving and kayaking! The Chiang Dao cave, with its myriad shrines and amazing caverns, is definitely a must-see. And the kayaking portion was tons of fun! The river was very gentle and shallow, so suitable for beginners. There were just enough challenges to keep it interesting - I’ll confess I wasn’t the best at steering so I did fall in twice (wear something you don’t mind getting wet!). But again the water was super shallow so I just stood up and got back in. And the guide was great about helping me out of those situations. FYI the drive from Chiang Mai to Chiang Dao takes about 2 hours in the back of a truck, so be mentally prepared for that, and don’t make any evening plans. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for an adventure!

Very Fun Experience
Very smooth and well organized. The falls themselves are a lot of fun. Just watch out for mossy spots, but these are rare and easy to see-don’t step on anything green. Obviously, if you’re going to climb the falls you should be in reasonably decent shape. Very cool experience.

Great experience and food!
Do not eat before coming; you will cook one course at a time and then eat it after it’s made rather than cooking all the courses and then eating as one big meal
also you will be taking your shoes off to enter the home and kitchen so be prepared for that with socks etc
The food and experience were great! Will def make the food when I return!

Inspirational cooking class!
Excellent informative tour with our tour guide, Sky. She educated us on the variety of spices and ingredients of Thai cooking and took us shopping at the local marketplace. Then went back to the cooking school and taught us how to prepare the raw ingredients, mix the slices and cook each dish. I was pleasantly surprised that I cooked a descent Thai meal in spite of not knowing how to cook at home. This tour has inspired me to try some of these recipes when we get home. Thumbs up for this tour.

Three different styles of...
Three different styles of Wat with three different stories. Overall a very interesting half-day trip within Chiang Mai. Our guide provided historical backgrounds and we had what we think was the right amount of time at each Wat to explore the grounds. If you're seeking a bit of Buddhist zen, Wat Pha Lat is for you.
