This was a truly amazing experience. Going to the market was a great way to start. The education in ingredients was very helpful. Sky and Noodle were great teachers. Very knowledgeable, organized, fluent in English, great sense of humor. The cooking instructions, the setting for cutting chopping and cooking were perfect. Go hungry as you will be able to eat what you cook!

Worth getting up for.,
Beautiful way to spend our morning in Chiang Mae. James was a wonderful tour guide, giving us all the information about the temples and the monks. We didn’t get the best sunrise but listening to the monks chant first thing in the morning made up for the clouds hiding the sun. The Alms giving was super cool. My husband lovingly called it tricker treating for monks but really we both found it very rewarding to give food to them and receive a blessing in return. James brought all the food we gave to the monks but we also brought some fruit given to us at our hotel. Highly recommend this experience.

I absolutely loved the...
I absolutely loved the cooking class. They even have their own garden where they grow fresh herbs, and a visit to the local market was included, which made the whole experience feel really authentic. I’d recommend booking the transfers if you’re staying within the Chiang Mai district, it makes everything much easier. The female team were incredibly hospitable, and although our group was quite small and intimate, it actually made the experience even more enjoyable. You can attend as part of a group or solo like I did (I’m the Black woman in the picture), and it was easy to connect with others. I met a lovely French family who were heading straight to the airport afterwards. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this for an authentic Thai experience. The portion sizes were generous; I couldn’t finish everything but was able to take the rest away. Just a small note: they do have two dogs on-site, but they’re put away during the cooking session in case anyone is uncomfortable around dogs.

Fabulous cooking class!
A fabulous experience. Aon and Mo were super hosts who helped us every step of the way! I'd recommend the morning class as this includes a trip to the market to select ingredients. Special shout out to Aon. She is hilarious and made the class incredible.

Fiery and overflowing with flavor, Northern Thai cuisine is considered one of Asia’s best. Creamy noodle soups, spicy sausages, and sweet-and-sour salads characterize Chiang Mai’s culinary scene, which differs from the rest of Thailand. Chiang Mai cooking classes let you delve deeper into the region’s culinary culture by showing you how to create authentic dishes using traditional Thai tools and ingredients. While the taste on your tongue might fade, your new-found knowledge of how to make khao soi (curry noodle soup) and tam khanun (jackfruit salad) will last much longer.
