What are people saying about Chiang Mai

I absolutely loved the...
I absolutely loved the cooking class. They even have their own garden where they grow fresh herbs, and a visit to the local market was included, which made the whole experience feel really authentic.
I’d recommend booking the transfers if you’re staying within the Chiang Mai district, it makes everything much easier. The female team were incredibly hospitable, and although our group was quite small and intimate, it actually made the experience even more enjoyable.
You can attend as part of a group or solo like I did (I’m the Black woman in the picture), and it was easy to connect with others. I met a lovely French family who were heading straight to the airport afterwards.
Overall, I’d definitely recommend this for an authentic Thai experience. The portion sizes were generous; I couldn’t finish everything but was able to take the rest away.
Just a small note: they do have two dogs on-site, but they’re put away during the cooking session in case anyone is uncomfortable around dogs.

Wonderful experience!!
Incredible experience. Highly recommended. Garnet could not have been a sweeter, kinder or more helpful instructor/host. We made three truly delicious Thai dishes with a mango sticky rice for dessert. Come hungry. All recipes given at the end. They thought of everything!! Loved it!!

Fabulous cooking class!
A fabulous experience. Aon and Mo were super hosts who helped us every step of the way!
I'd recommend the morning class as this includes a trip to the market to select ingredients.
Special shout out to Aon. She is hilarious and made the class incredible.

Cookery class with organic market visit
Great communication and prompt pick up. We were in a small group of 11 people so very sociable and easy to follow our guide,Balloon’s,instructions. The organic market was a great experience to start the activity with so many different fresh produce on sale and we chose our menus for the day. The experience of cooking under guidance was great fun plus you get to eat your creation.Overall a really enjoyable andinteresting activity to take part in

I'm a Thai Chef now!
Imagine being whisked away on a culinary chariot—on time, mind you—to a kingdom of flavors! The queens of this realm? Noodle and Sky, aptly named, who first guided us through a vibrant market of ingredients that practically sang to be cooked. Back at the school, we were handed the keys to the culinary kingdom: five dishes—appetizers, soup, main, dessert—like being the chef of your own feast. Prep was minimal but hands-on enough to feel like Thai cuisine sorcerers! The meal? A five-course triumph! Our group of six was like a mini foodie family, and the whole experience was smooth as coconut milk. 10/10—I’d wield a wok with them again!

Good cooking class
Good cooking class lots of choice of what to cook. Staff were helpful , it was a little regimented but well organised . Didn’t get told they couldn’t pick us up from our hotel until a few days before even though I put our hotel in the booking months ago.

Thai cooking in Chiang Mai
It was amazing! Sky was the teacher and she was simply outstanding!
I did a half-day cooking class in Chiang Mai with Sky and three wonderful young men from Germany, and it was absolutely brilliant. From the moment we went to the local market to choose fresh ingredients, to returning to the cooking school and preparing the dishes, everything was top-notch. The food was incredible, the experience was so much fun, and we learned far more than we expected. Such a memorable morning — I highly, highly recommend this cooking class to anyone visiting Chiang Mai.

Perfect introduction to Thai food and cooking
Incredibly well organized cooking class with enthusiastic instructors. Every dish was very tasty. You can adjust the level of spice. We could not finish everything we made. I highly recommend this tour. Our teacher, Tida, was very helpful and could be a stand up comic

Incredible temples,...
Incredible temples, driver was friendly. The drive up to Doi Suthep was very curvy so maybe bring some meds if needed. The view from the temple was incredible, especially seeing the city at night. Everyone staying in Chiang Mai should experience this. 10/10!

Nice Evening Experience
Did the evening experience and it was a nice break away from the city. Loved the farm to table approach and cooking our favorite dishes as well as provided the recipes for later use. Definitely built confidence and took away the perceived complexity of making the dishes we love so much and has us excited to replicate on our own in our home country!

Great experience and food!
Do not eat before coming; you will cook one course at a time and then eat it after it’s made rather than cooking all the courses and then eating as one big meal
also you will be taking your shoes off to enter the home and kitchen so be prepared for that with socks etc
The food and experience were great! Will def make the food when I return!

Excellent food tour
My tour was with Sawitchaya and was a fantastic guide. I am vegetarian and she excellently choose dishes and restaurants that catered to that. She is very knowledgeable about Chiang Mai and was able to give historical and culinary context to our meals. Would highly recommend this tour.

Not seeing something you are looking for?
Fiery and overflowing with flavor, Northern Thai cuisine is considered one of Asia’s best. Creamy noodle soups, spicy sausages, and sweet-and-sour salads characterize Chiang Mai’s culinary scene, which differs from the rest of Thailand. Chiang Mai cooking classes let you delve deeper into the region’s culinary culture by showing you how to create authentic dishes using traditional Thai tools and ingredients. While the taste on your tongue might fade, your new-found knowledge of how to make khao soi (curry noodle soup) and tam khanun (jackfruit salad) will last much longer.
