What are people saying about Canmore

Absolutely gorgeous
Even though it was rainy and cloudy at sunrise, the lakes were both beautiful. We couldn't see the mountain peaks behind the lakes, but it was still a very memorable visit. The water was a beautiful turquoise and it had snowed recently, so the white contrast just above the lake water made it even more beautiful. Our driver was great! He had hot chocolate, coffee and hot tea for us, as well as cookies. The seating pad, blanket, and umbrella were much appreciated..and used!

Just DO it!
So worth waking up at 2AM for. Nick was a GREAT guide- lots of knowledge to share about the towns history, wildlife, and the eco system in a comfortable van. We were worried about weather, but he assured us witht he continetal divide, it usually passes Morian Lake. Incredible beauty. Even at the crack of dawn I was surprised to see more visitors than I orginally thought. I could never do regular hours in the summer with that many people. Some tourists can be loud and obnoxious, when you come for beauty and peace. So DON'T be that person! Also, respect the signs, don't cross boundary areas, or feed wildlife. We got AWESOME photographs and some zen. Also enjoyed our trip back to Lake Louise, this time was spent on a canoe. So if you are thinking about seeing Moraine Lake/Lake Louise- go EARLY. You wont be as tired as you think. Nick tells fantastic stories, to keep you awake. The best views of your life are waiting!

A definite tour to do
This is a definitely must do tour. Our guide was great. He had fun life experience stories. We saw 4 bear on the way. The view stops were spectacular. Our guide provided comfy chairs, warm blankets, and hot chocolate!!! The sunset view was beautiful and then the short walk ( has lots of stairs but I am 64 and was fine doing them) the top of the hill viewing area was clean and well maintained. We got there early and had a great spot to view the stars. The lake and mountains in the background were magnificent and gave me some time to contemplate my life. My teenage granddaughters enjoyed it very much. I do recommend dressing in layers and have gloves and hats because once the sun goes down it gets cold. I think it was about 25 degrees Fahrenheit at midnight. We had clear skies which made the viewing awesome.
