What are people saying about Khan El-Khalili

10/10 Experience!
Safety is a major priority, not only did we have a private car, driver, guide but also a guard. This booking met all our expectations! Our guide Hazem was kind, generous, knowledgeable and joyful. My family truly enjoyed his presence and our guard Abdul was as equally kind and joyful. The experience was exceptional. We learned so much, saw so much, and bought so much at the market! I would highly recommend this experience with Hazem and Abdul to all families. No regrets!

Unforgettable Day Exploring Cairo’s Markets
Bisho is a phenomenal guide! As a solo traveler, I felt totally safe and well looked after all day. He took me to some fantastic spots around Cairo, including Khan El-Khalili Bazaar, Merit Bazaar, Khan El Helw center, the 3 Pyramids Papyrus Institute, and Royal Perfumes and Oils. He is super knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. If you're visiting Cairo, definitely book a tour with Bisho!

Brief but good
This was a brief but nice overview of Coptic Cairo and one of the areas main mosques. I could have done without the market visit and maybe another mosque or church but I am sure some people enjoy the option to shop.

We booked the driver...
We booked the driver option and our driver Raafat was very friendly and made our group of 5 feel safe. Would recommend him for getting around.

Khan El-Khalili
  • Khan El-Khalili is a must for history buffs and shoppers alike.

  • As elsewhere on the streets of Cairo, women will feel more comfortable dressed modestly. Wear loose, flowing clothing that covers arms, legs, and torso.

  • Bring plenty of Egyptian cash and come prepared to bargain—haggling is a vital part of any Middle Eastern shopping experience.

  • There is wheelchair access to parts of Khan El-Khalili, but cobbles, narrow streets, and jam-packed stores present challenges.
