I had an excellent full-day biking wine tour through Saint-Émilion, and it ended up being one of the highlights of my time in Bordeaux. The experience struck a great balance between activity, education, and pure enjoyment. Cycling through the vineyards was both scenic and relaxed, with just enough structure to keep things smooth without feeling rushed. The wine component was particularly well done. We visited a variety of estates, each offering a different perspective on the region—from traditional family-run châteaux to more modern operations. The tastings were thoughtfully curated, and the guides provided clear, engaging explanations about terroir, grape varieties, and production methods without being overly technical. It felt like a genuine wine training experience rather than just casual sampling. What really made the day stand out was the variety: different wines, distinct locations, and unique atmospheres at each stop. Combined with the charm of Saint-Émilion itself, it made for a rich and memorable experience. I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore Bordeaux in a more active and immersive way.

James was so knowledgeable, this was such a fantastic wine tasting session, we both loved it. James knowledgeable of wine was outstanding. His explanations of the wines and processes of production and classification were simple clear and landed with us. Way better than the whole day tour we went on the day before. Great wines. We had a wonderful walking tour of Bordeaux with Tammi! She was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so much interesting history, local insight, and hidden gems along the way. You could tell she truly knows Bordeaux inside and out. She navigated the city effortlessly and made getting around easy and enjoyable, which allowed us to relax and fully take in the experience. Tammi’s enthusiasm and expertise brought the city to life. We left feeling like we not only saw Bordeaux, but truly experienced it.

Antoine was very knowledgeable and went above and beyond to show us unique and special places to enjoy drinks, food and desserts. With every step he included interesting, historic stories woven into every corner we walked. The pace was easy to keep, and the small size of the group made it more enjoyable. We highly recommend this tour!

This was an excellent introduction to our week in the Bordeaux region. We developed an understanding of the different grapes from the regions, identifying the characteristics and enjoying the looks, smells and tastes. Pairings were excellent. My daughter and I learned so much and loved it. Thank you!

The wineries/Chateaux’s were a good sampling of all the wineries available-hundreds. Our tour guide René was extremely knowledgable. He helped us all to understand the Bordeaux region and the different appellations and why they were distinct and the best qualities to look for when choosing wines,within any budget. He was great at keeping the group together and on time. I loved the tour. Money well spent.

Our guide, Anne, was terrific. She began our tour with an overview of the history of Bordeaux and wine making in the region. She took us to a wonderful little château for a wine tasting, where we met one of the members of the family. Her knowledge of wine was truly astounding. During our tasting, she put it out aspects to the wine that we would ordinarily never have noticed. We then spent time in St Emilion, which was truly charming. At last glass of wine at one of the local café/wine bars was most memorable. We would highly recommend this tour.

You might think you know Bordeaux, or you might think there isn’t much to see here. Both are wrong. This free (tips accepted) tour with Ari is very enlightening. I was in awe at learning that I was sitting in front of the church where Eleanor of Acquetain was married! So much information. And a free glass of wine at the end. Of course!
