Welcome to Bolivia
Hidden within the remote landscapes of the Bolivian Altiplano, Sajama National Park is one of the country’s most exclusive and breathtaking natural destinations. Located approximately 5–6 hours from La Paz, this protected region combines volcanic scenery, ancient heritage, and extraordinary wildlife in a setting of remarkable silence and beauty.
Rising above the high plains at over 4,200 meters above sea level stands the majestic Nevado Sajama, the highest mountain in Bolivia, reaching 6,542 meters. First ascended in 1939 by Austrian climbers Josef Prem and Wilfrid Kumm together with Italian mountaineer Piero Ghigione, it remains one of the great icons of the Andes.
Along the journey, we also discover the ancient Andean Chullpas, sacred funerary towers that continue to preserve the ancestral legacy of the Altiplano civilizations.
