Amazing
Surreal. I have no words. Amazing views.
Just keep in mind this isn’t a luxurious type of experience and be prepared for the cold weather in Uyuni.

Great experience
Come prepared because it is very cold. Specially at night. Check the weather based on the time of the year. It is a desert and you wont necessarily have stores around but great experience overall.
Dates were beginning to mid april 2025

A great experience - rate 4.5
4.5 because the driver and guide, they team in bolivia were brilliant - the team managing this tour behind the scenes are the ones who bring the rating down.
On the first night we were picked up on time in a car taken to the bus station and the service was brilliant. The driver made sure we had all the right instructions.
After a night bus we arrived at the next destination was able to shower and get started for the tour where we met Ivan our driver and tour guide he was brilliant, calm, funny and informative. I really appreciated him.
The views on this trip, on the road, on the salts, on the mountains were the most incredible and a memory I love!
BUT.....
The management team let the side down!
To start no one contacted me, I spent over $600 on a tour and boone contacted me, I had to write twice and eventually through viator, I got worried it was some scam!
Then the jeeps we were in were broken and uncomfortable, the seat belts did not work for us or the driver. The driver was brilliant, but he is not responsible for the tools he drives...unfortunately he had a lot of people complain to him about things, things he is obviously not responsible for, he works for a company who are clearly not investing in safety.
I share this to give a real picture, the trip is amazing, food and accommodation are basic as we are on the road in remote locations, the team there do a great job and I do reccomend this trip, but just know it may not be perfect.
Thank you Ivan and the team in Bolivia!

Perfect door to door service
This was an amazing experience from LA Paz to San Pedro de Atacama. It was well planned and stress free door to door service. Everything was well organized. It was nice that upon arrival in Uyuni by sleeper bus that we were able to have access to a private hotel room to rest and shower before starting our first full day. Our guide Julia spoke perfect English and was always eager to answer our questions and accommodate our needs. Julia is an asset to this tour company. Crossing the land border between Bolivia and Chile was a breeze. There was another guide in the Chilean side who dropped us off at the San Pedro De Atacama Bus terminal. I highly recommend this tour to anyone.

Not every booking is a success.
Several companies also offer this. They all cover the Rail Graveyard, the Museum, Salt flats and sculptures, together with the meal on the salt flats and the extensive photo session. It is cheaper to book it at Uyuni. The company I first booked with failed to turn up and I had to book it again. It is a brilliant tour, after the lake Titicaca Tour, the best I booked in Bolivia. PS Overnight buses to Uyuni can be freezing.

The whole tour was very...
The whole tour was very well organised from the hotel pick-up and transfer to La Paz Bus Station. Everything just fell into place thereafter. We travelled by 4WD throughout with Luis as guide - he was excellent, very good driver and extremely experienced and knowledgeable. Salar de Uyuni was magnificent and we had plenty of time there. On the way to the first nights accommodation Luis stopped so we could see the Milky Way. The rest of the trip was spent in a spectacular part of the Andes with magnificent scenery everywhere. The tour showed us the best of the Bolivian Andes. Luis helped with the formalities at the Hito Cajon border crossing and was helpful throughout.
This is a tour to a very safe but underdeveloped and remote part of Bolivia where roads are rough and accommodation options are few and fairly basic. There were early starts but that is expected. All meals were provided and included. It can get a bit tiring but it's a rewarding part of the world.

Recommended 2-day trip
Osvaldo brought us most comfortably and discretely across the salt plains, the flamenco lakes and all the other magnificent parts of nature in the area, giving background and responding to all our questions at expert level. Great 2-day trip through unforgettable natural treasures. Pleasant hotel also. Make sure to ask Osvaldo to be your guide!

An incredible and unforgettable tour!
Everything was incredible, but I would highlight crossing the salt flat, the good group lunch (there was a special dish for this vegan!), the fun photos and videos in perspective, and the incredible sunset with wine at the end! Everything was so cool, certainly, not only because of the great group we had, but because of the attention, information, care and sense of humor of our guide Ronal. Gracias, Ronal! A memorable tour!!
