One of the highlights on my trip to Bangkok

If you’re looking for an authentic experience in Bangkok, don’t miss House of Taste Cooking School. Our instructor, Bense, was outstanding! He was welcoming, knowledgeable, patient, and made the entire class both fun and easy to follow. We prepared four delicious Thai dishes, including a flavorful Thai curry, a classic Thai stir fry, and one of Thailand’s most iconic desserts—mango sticky rice. Bense did a wonderful job explaining the ingredients, cooking techniques, and how to recreate each dish at home. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, the class was hands-on from beginning to end, and the atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. It was the perfect combination of learning, cooking, and enjoying authentic Thai cuisine. This was much more than just a cooking class—it was a cultural experience and one of the highlights of my visit to Bangkok. I highly recommend House of Taste Cooking School, and if you have the opportunity to learn from Bense, you’re in for a fantastic experience!

Excellent for Solo Travel!

This experience was EXCEPTIONAL! Jay, our guide, was funny and knowledgeable and helpful, answering all our questions and offering a wealth of knowledge of Thai ingredients, cooking methods, and cultural food history. I was traveling in Bangkok solo (female, late 30s) and booked this just two days prior. There were 8 of us in the group total, which was honestly perfect, and there was a perfect balance of prepping, learning, cooking, and most importantly, EATING. The red curry we made was out of this world. I liked that you could customize your spice level too. I would highly recommend this to solo travelers, couples, or a group of adults. Do the morning session, the market visit is a great way to start!

We had such an amazing experience at Thingly Thai Cooking School in Bangkok! The class was fun, interactive, and one of our favorite experiences of the trip. We loved this class

We loved this cooking class. Song was our instructor and was such a great entertainer and teacher. We picked out our ingredients at the local market before cooking. Song explained all the different local ingredients. The cooking was very interactive and very tasty. My wife and I agreed that the pad thai and tom yum we cooked in this class was the best we had in our 10 day stay. Highly recommend this class to those looking to learn about the local cuisine.

Shuttle to our hotel

Finding our shuttle was a little overwhelming in the Bangkok airport, we did receive communication with instructions but there is a lot going on in that area of the airport. Once we found it we had to wait a few minutes for a driver to be available. We did not have that experience at other airports. Our driver did a good job of driving us safely to our hotel.

Get ready to explore local markets and cook simple Thai dishes under the guidance of owner Pimmy. Come with an open mind to learn more about local spices and favours. The activity is good for families to bond over cooking and food! We had been to Thailand numerous times and was looking for a different experience. We opted for the 9am slot or otherwise we would have woke up late and prob having breakfast and end up in a local mall. The experience ended by about 12+ leaving us with still alot of time for the rest of the day. We prepared the ingredients and cooked mango sticky rice, curry chicken, Tamarind prawns and tom yum goong. It was simple to follow and we were also provided recipes so we may try when we return to our home countries. We will definitely be back to learn other dishes.

Wonderful class, absolutely recommend!

The Thai cooking class with Maliwan was fantastic! We met Maliwan at the school and took a tuk tuk together to a local market. This was a wonderful experience, Maliwan is so knowledgeable and we spent some time going around to different stalls to pick up fresh ingredients. Back at the school, we had a short break and then started cooking. Maliwan demonstrated making each dish, before we started on our own. We made a green curry paste from scratch, then used the paste to make our own green curry with chicken. We then moved onto the next dish. The class was a highlight of our trip to Thailand, and we're looking forward to recreating the dishes at home. A big thank you to Maliwan for such an incredible experience
