Shaki Waterfall

Shaki Waterfall can easily be visited independently, although you’ll need your own transportation and a good navigation system, as you’re unlikely to encounter many English speakers if you need directions.
Reaching the waterfall requires a short hike from a small car park—not longer than 10 minutes. Be sure to wear sturdy footwear, especially if you plan on walking alongside the waterfall or exploring the surroundings.
Technically, swimming is permitted—but the water is ice-cold, so you may want to refrain from diving in.
The area is a great spot for a picnic, in case you’d like to bring along a packed lunch.
Count on around 10-15 minutes (not including the walk) to visit the waterfall. The site is small. The cascade makes for a great photo opportunity, so don’t forget your camera in the car.
