Top Alentejo Bus Tours

This is not a typical hike it is a private journey into a wild landscape just south of Lisbon, where nature, history, and spirituality meet. No crowds, no tourist paths only cliffs, ocean, and silence. We follow coastal trails to discover real dinosaur footprints preserved in the rock, over 160 million years old. You do not just see them, you stand where they once walked. For the more adventurous, there is an optional descent toward a hidden beach, adding a sense of discovery to the experience. The route is easy, around 3.3 km, suitable for most travelers, including families. No rush, just time to enjoy the moment. Cabo Espichel is also one of Portugal’s most important sacred sites. Along the way, I share stories while adapting the experience to your pace. A simple local tasting adds a memorable touch. Availability is limited, advance booking is recommended.

Even if you only have limited time ashore in Lisbon, make the most of your visit on this half-day, private shore excursion. After pickup directly from the port, head to Sintra: a UNESCO World Heritage Site that’s home to numerous castles and palaces. With your guide in the lead, visit the Pena Palace, Quinta da Regaleira, and more. Then, continue to nearby attractions from Cabo da Roca to elegant Cascais before returning to your vessel.

Explore the Alentejo with the Burriscas Adventure, an experience rich in tradition and culture, starting from the outskirts DE Évora or Montemor-o-Novo. The trip begins in São Pedro do Corval, the largest oil centre in the country, where we visit a traditional olaria and learn the craftsmanship techniques of molding DA gem and painting of Alentejo ceramics. We continue to the stunning medieval Villa DE Monsaraz, where we will make a guided tour through its historic streets with panoramic views over the Alqueva. NO end, enjoy free time to explore the local commerce and the quiet atmosphere DA Villa. Optional: To complete the experience, include a visit to a DEga with regional wines, perfect for tasting the best of Alentejo.

This experience allows an authentic contact with the flavors of the Alentejo, combining gastronomy, tradition and local producers. The great highlight is the opportunity to produce your own fresh sheep cheese, a practical and rare experience even in the region. The tour also includes a traditional Alentejano lunch and a visit to a regional winery with wine tasting, all done in small groups, with personalized accompaniment and pick-up included in Évora or Montemor-o-Novo.

This is not a typical beach trip — it’s a private, curated experience for travelers who want more than just a view. The hidden beach is not accessible by car — you reach it on foot via scenic coastal trails and a historic fishermen’s staircase carved into the cliffs. The journey itself is part of the reward. The hike ranges from 3 to 7 km, depending on the route, with several options available. The difficulty is moderate to high (4/5) and requires good physical fitness. Expect uneven terrain, steep descents and ascents, and occasionally slippery sections. Hiking poles are available free of charge upon request. Unlike standard tours, this experience is fully private and flexible, with no fixed pace or large groups. It’s a balance of movement and stillness — an active coastal hike followed by time to swim, relax, and enjoy a light picnic at a secluded Atlantic cove. This is not for everyone — and that’s exactly the point.
