A day with Nature and History

Nicely organised tour. Nature and history, thoroughly enjoyed the day! Tour guide Ilmi was friendly and knowledgeable. We were given enough time across the activities. Traditional food at Gjirokaster restaurants tasty. From our experience as a family, walking to blue eye is uphill, walking back is easier. Consider this if you wish to use the road rail/train. Another thing…. buying entrance tickets at Gjirokastër castle is 100 lek more than online price, buy tickets accordingly if you wish to climb up for the castle. The tickets are not included in the package cost.

Best day tour EVER (and best driver)

Best day tour I've ever done and highlight of my 2 weeks in the Balkans! Our guide (Marjan) was incredible. He was extremely communicative beforehand. If he offers to modify the tour in any way, accept! There are varied pickup locations close to your accommodation and the van has great AC and comfy seats. Safety is the top priority the whole time - from driving to hiking. In addition to being knowledgeable and fun, Marjan ensured we were fed, hydrated, rested, and hiking safely. Every spot on the itinerary is thoughtfully crafted. We especially loved the spot for lunch. An absolute must do when in Shkoder, especially if you have limited time in northern Albania and/or don't want to do the entire Valbona/Theth hike. This tour hits all the highlights without the overnight hike.

Great day out, Golem has beautiful beach area

I was sent lots of detailed information from Smart Tour Albania prior to thus fantastic trip, along with the pick up time and a photo of the vehicle to look out for. Our Guide, Denis was excellent along with our very safe driver. Denis escorted us to the Castle at Durrës and outlined all the import information relating to it. We had the perfect amount of time to explore the area and to get some food or refreshments before moving on to Golam beach. We were dropped off right at the beach front and had 2.5 hours to enjoy the area. Lots of cafes and beach activities to enjoy and the sea was a lovely temperature for swimming in. We hit rush hour traffic on the way back but we had a great driver to get us back safely. I highly recommend this trip, everything was perfect.

A trip to cover the main sites near Sarande

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and answered everyone's questions. The driver was safe and considerate of the road and his passengers. The tour covered some of the major surrounding areas of Saranda and Ksamil. The Blue Eye cove was beautiful and we should have taken the opportunity to walk around here more, but the heat was up to 35+ by then. All in all a good trip.

Great day

Gjenc is the best tour guide I have had in Albania! We had a small group of 4 in a comfy air conditioned vehicle. We got to the lake before it got super busy with large tour groups and Gjenc took amazing photos for us too. We then went to Kruje where we had lunch and Gjenc shared some information about Albania. We had some spare time to visit the old bazaar and the castle. I really like that this tour offers the opportunity to combine both experiences in one day and we were back in Tirana before 5pm.

Best of the south, all in one day

The guide was very knowledgeable about Albania's ancient and modern history, we really enjoyed listening to all his stories and had a wonderful time in Butrint. And the Blue Eye was stunning! Very good!

Everything was great! Our guide Paola was fantastic, very kind, helpful and always smiling. The trip was well organized with enough time to visit all the spots, plus Paola guided us through the Berat castle, explaining a bit of its history. We just had some issue in the beginning because some customer was in late and we had to wait a lot for them. That didn't depend by the organizer though, but just by people showing no respect for the others. Anyway, apart from that everything was great.

Great guide….BUT…

Marisa was fabulous…however the tour itself was not prepared correctly. The description of the tour said “private “.. it was not.. we found out ahead of time…emailed company, however they did not directly give me a response..However 3 other guests..who thought this was a private tour, also..took their time and arrived 1 hour after starting time!! The tour should have waited a max of 1/2 hour after starting time.. not 1 hour ..sitting in a van!! The company should take the word “private “ out of their description.
