Overview

Uniquely Albanian, this tour will form a core memory of your trip. With dramatic water scenery like you haven’t seen before, let us take you on hikes to two water sites - the Osumi Canyon and Bogova Waterfall. Depending on the weather, you can swim in the crystal clear waters at both sites or simply relax and take in the nature around you. As we journey between each site you’ll learn about the rich history and legends of the area and enjoy the charming Bogova village.

Part of the National Park “Tomorri Mountain”, the Bogova Waterfall is over 20m tall and provides excellent photo opportunities
The Osumi Canyon spans 26km and is connected with a myriad of streams and pools around the area
Other panoramic spots include the Kasabashi bridge, "The bride's hole", and the Footprint of Abaz Aliu

This is more than a trip, it is and experience. Bogova waterfall is a beautiful place with cold water(14 degrees). Osum Canyon it is a beautiful landscape. The walk in the canyon, sometimes swimming is very Nice. The water was warm, 28 degrees, is Nice. The rapids are a wonderful water massagem. Bring water shoes and hat, besides sunscreen. Definately a must

We’ve been to Albania several times and this was one of the best things we have ever done! Gentjan was a fantastic tour guide, photographer, historian, biologist, geologist, etc! He knew so much about the area and was just awesome! The place we stopped for lunch was incredible too! If you want to get out of the city and see some incredible natural resources, our family highly recommends this tour!

Awesome experience with our guide guide Genti! The pick up location was a 3 min walk from our hotel in the center of old town berat which made it easy to find. It was just my husband and I on the tour due to it being non-busy season but none the less, the tour itself was wonderful! Our guide was very knowledgeable about the environment and Albanian history, super friendly and made our experience in Albania feel more like home. The spot with the hole in the floor with the story of the bride and walking alongside the bottom of the canyon were my favorite parts of the trip. We went to a wonderful lunch spot with great food and made in back to town in time for the sunset where he dropped us off right at the top of the castle to make sure we got the best view! Highly recommend this tour if you are looking for a great experience!

It was a wonderful day with the most exciting adventure. The waterfal and the Canyon. Excellent. Good and cheap lunch, very nice guide WHO even took us home to our Hotel. Really somerhing to recomend.

Our tour began with a short walk from our hotel to the 1001 Albanian Adventures office. When we arrived we saw others getting water shoes from inside the store and my girlfriend asked for some but I was not offered any. However, that did not matter too much in the end (although, definitely would recommend). We departed Berat at roughly 9:10am and started our journey to Bogova Waterfall, we then stopped for coffee in a small town and then took a trip to the top of Osumi Canyon for some spectacular views. Following this, we then came down the canyon and went into it. Before heading into the canyon we stopped back at the café we went to earlier to pick up fish due to dietary requirements. When we got into the canyon we changed, got ready and went into the water and walked out way down. Throughout the trip our guide Gentjan was excellent, he spoke excellent English and made an effort it regularly talk to all of us on the tour personally and in groups. He was also happy to take photos whenever and encouraged you to mingle and mix with others which created an excellent atmosphere around the group. Following the tour he took the time to personally send us any photos he took of us during the tour (as we didn't take phones in the water when walking through the canyon). He was truly excellent. When we got to the end of the walk we did sit and wait around for about 30 minutes and it did begin to get cold however we then set back off for lunch (around 3pm). When we got to lunch it was a great selection of food and a great atmosphere in the restaurant with Raki free flowing. Make sure you bring cash as the meal itself cost us around 650LEKE per person (+300LEKE) for the additional fish purchase and cooking. We arrived back at 1001 Albanian Adventures at around 7pm. However it was an excellent experience and we thoroughly enjoyed the day. We really recommend this tour to all when in Berat. A great day supported by a passionate guide who loves their job.

Ervis the guide was great, explained everything great and made us have a perfect xìa. My bad review goes to the Enterprise that makes the trip. It started raining halfway through the excursion and we couldn't go to the waterfalls. Paying 60 euros each, just to go to the canyons. Whether it rains or not, it is not the fault of the company but if they propose a solution since we try to contact them and have not received a response...

Fabulous excursion. There were not many of us and the Genti guide was keen to make us discover the beauties of his country! We did the waterfalls, the viewpoint, discovered the canyon (small hike) and swam in it. Magic! Provide water slippers to enjoy to the max!!

Wir waren zu fünft (inkl. Guide) unterwegs. Die Tour war super, da wir direkt in die Schlucht gewandert sind. Dort waren keine anderen Touristen. Insgesamt eine recht abenteuerliche Tour. Der Guide hat viele Infos zu Land, Landschaft, Fauna und Flora gegeben. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Mijn vriend en ik hadden de tour geboekt en bij start bleek dat wij de enige waren. Onze tourguide (Genti) had ons mee op sleeptouw en deed het enorm goed. Hij wist veel te vertellen over de omgeving onderweg maar ook bij de waterval en de Canyon. Daarbij doet hij zijn best om het jou naar je zin te maken en speelt dan ook als fotograaf zonder dat je dat hoeft te vragen. Wij hebben een super leuke dag gehad!
