Amazing tour
The experience from start to finish was amazing! The shuttle driver, the captain, and the biologist were all so friendly and you could see their passion for what they do. We saw lots of whales and sea lions on our adventure. Plus the crew have us free pictures that were taken throughout the trip which looked great! Would highly recommend!

Over 50? You can do this!!
Not as strenuous as I expected. We are 58, and loved it. It’s such a different perspective from the water. They do a great tutorial that helps with your kayaking, getting in and out of boat. I felt safe the whole time.
We saw Eagles, starfish, seals and sea lions.

Rain Blows, Whales, and Waterfalls
This experience was beyond expectations. Captain Michelle, Deckhand Griffin and Morgan were just as excited as we were as the whales put on a show. We got to experience "Rain Blows" and it had us all in awe of natures wonder. Dylan, our driver took great care of us and was very knowledgeable! Being able to hike to Nugget Falls and feel its power was one of our trip highlights! This is a must excursion!

Absolutely incredible!
This excursion is perfect if you want a smaller personal experience. The Captain and Crew were very personable and knowledgeable about where to find wildlife, specifically whales. If you could only book one excursion while in Hoonah, this should be the one.

Great time kayaking
Great Kayak tour with Haylie and Jess. We had a blast. Saw many wild life including a deer swimming. Easy to find Lucy the driver next to The Rock, then about 25 min ride, restroom break, safety brief, Kayak explanations and off we go for about 90 min on the water. Great fun, thank you!

Highly recommend, easy to navigate! Lots to see!
We were on the 2:30 your on 8/3. First, the drivers were fabulous! Gave you so much history and information about Juneau! The whale watching was amazing! Our boat was lucky enough to see humpbacks “bubble net feeding” incredible to see and it wasn’t just nice. We saw a ton! Our naturalist Hailey had so much information to offer! We had plenty of time to explore Mendenhall Glacier after the whale watching. Beautiful area to explore on your own with plenty of signs so you knew what you were seeing! Visitor center closes early so stop in there first. 10/10 recommend!

An excision you need to experience
An excellent excursion. The captain was great. She was very informative and maneuvered the boat so we could have fantastic views of the animals and glacier. And the crew was outstanding. Also very friendly, informative and helpful.
I’d highly recommend this trip and the captain/crew as well

If every tour guide were...
If every tour guide were this awesome, I’d sign up for tours every weekend! They were funny, knowledgeable, and somehow managed to keep the whole group entertained while teaching us so much. We laughed, learned, and never once checked the time—which says a lot! Thanks for making this one of the highlights of our trip. Five stars aren’t enough!

Woohoo!
Georgie and Ryan were great guides! We had a lot of fun and learned about the dangers of Monkshood, which no one else in Alaska warned us about! The meal was beyond expectation in both amount and quality for a backcountry meal. We could have enjoyed the ride for many more hours! Thanks for a great time!

Wish the captain would turn the boat….
Incredible views of whales bubble-net fishing. Stunning! The only thing is I wished the captain of the boat would turn the boat sideways instead of always facing the whale activity. Because of that, only the few lucky enough to stand at the limited area in the front had a great view. Those standing on both sides of the boat missed out.

Zipline + bonus!
Fantastic experience! Bonus 15 min ATV ride before and after zip lining to get to the course. Guides Kyle & Shym were great- fun! Driver Colin was great too. The various bridges were another fun/interesting part. We definitely highly recommend this trip! We’d do it again in a heartbeat.

Not seeing something you are looking for?
No trip to the Last Frontier is complete without seeing some incredible wildlife. Alaska whale-watching tours depart from all of the state’s major port cities—including Juneau, Seward, and Icy Strait Point (Hoonah)—and vessels make it easy for cruise ship passengers to arrive on time for these exciting excursions. See humpback whales, orcas, and other wildlife up close during their annual migration, and marvel at their unique tail flukes as they dive near your boat. Plus, on-board naturalists offer interesting context.
