Wonderful kayak tour
My husband granddaughter and I had a fabulous time on the kayak tour. Jenni and Cam, our kayak guides were wonderful! We truly enjoyed our time on the water with them. We saw bald eagles, a sea otter and okra star fish. We were fortunate to have great weather! Our driver to the dock was great. Giving us great tips for our time in port and sharing information on Ketchikan. Our return driver, the owner, was great as well. He too shared info on local area and gave us some recommendations. I highly recommend this tour

Amazing wildlife, professional captain.
A perfect half day seeing whales and lots of other Alaskan wildlife with Capt. Josh! He really does know the local area so well, and uses this to your advantage on his superb boat tour. Excellent pre departure communications, and very professional during the tour. A lifelong memory! Thanks yoi

Whale Watching Done Right
The entire experience, from start to finish, was wonderful - from the communication at the pier, to the transportation by Alan, to the captaining of the boat by TJ, to the naturalist in Daisy. The boat size and configuration provided a much more intimate and nimble experience than the larger operators, and TJ made use of it by regularly repositioning us and making sure we got outside for a good view. They can’t control the whales, but do an excellent job trying. Can’t recommend them enough.

Fantastic tour!
I’m so glad we went with this tour! Every staff member we encountered was amazing and so friendly. The whale watching tour was our favorite part and we saw a few whales and some sea lions. The boat was perfect and not too crowded but big enough to not be rocked around a lot. I was a little nervous not booking through the cruise line but after seeing piles of people rush to get in giant lines to board big buses, I was so happy we didn’t decide to go with the cruise line option. Additionally, the company reached out and put us on earlier tour since our boat boarding time was pushed forward from the original expected time. Overall, it was a great tour and would highly recommend to anyone visiting to choose them.

Definitely a must when in...
Definitely a must when in Seward, the crew was awesome and very courteous, food was great. We was pleasantly surprised with the size of lunch and free coffee helped out alot. Staff was very caring with everyone's need from checking for motion sickness to taking & sharing pics of wildlife.

The Alaska Tales team was...
The Alaska Tales team was phenomenal. Shout out to Papa Bear, Captain Krichelle, Sophie, and Taylor.
We checked in for the tour on the dock next to the red tram building and hopped on a bus to explore Mendenhall Glacier. We had about an hour to explore and take photos. Next, we boated our ride to search for whales. Our Naturalist, Taylor was extremely knowledgeable and briefed us on what to look out for when spotting for whales. We were delighted to spot quite a few whales and I have dubbed myself a whale spotting expert.

Perfect for kids!
This was an incredible experience! We saw tons of whales, seals, sea lions, and bald eagles. Tess and Alex were super knowledgeable about the whales and even knew their names! Tess took great photos and shared them all for no additional cost, so we were free to look with our eyes, not our phones. Highly recommend!

The Best Whale Watching Tour
Denice was our boat guide and she is native to Hoonah! She gave us a lot of history of the town, shared a lot about her family and was very knowledgeable about the whales. We saw a lot of whales and sea lions! We did another tour in Juneau and the one in Hoonah was far superior! I highly recommend and would not hesitate to book again if we visit the area again.

Great experience
We had a group of 7 and the excursion was great! The staff went above and beyond to accommodate everyone. Our mom had a hard time with the hike and one of the staff members walked back with her. It did rain on us, but the rain pants, jackets and gloves they provided were a lifesaver. Would recommend!

Adventure awaits!
Fun very small group. We were out on the trails for over 2 hours traversing rocky terrain, water crossings and mud holes. We had a blast! Our group leader Caleb was very attentive and knowledgeable. The dinner provided was just what we needed on a cold evening touring Denali. Thanks for making such a memorable experience for our vacation.

Amazing!!
This is a start up company just getting situated with tours in Juneau. Husband and wife also run tours in Hawaii which is super cool! They are in the process of getting social media sites up and running for Juneau tours. With that said, as you research you will come to realize they are indeed legit and beat the prices of others by a long-shot! I hands down recommend them for a whale watch tour. We had an amazing time. The owner picked us up from the port. Easy peasy! Very nice guy. Made sure we were back on time. On our way to the marina, he provided information about Juneau, wild life, the glacier etc. Once we got to the marina he introduced us to our
naturalist Aliya. Super knowledgeable! Then we met Libby, our captain. Also extremely knowledgeable. You go girls!! We had a small
Group of 12! We had an absolutely amazing time and they answered any questions we had. Tour guides can make or break you excursion. We were very lucky to have them both! We did get to see Sasha and her calf. She’s something else! Iykyk!!! Hide and seek for a few hours but she didn’t not
Disappoint! Absolutely mesmerizing to see. If you get the opportunity to do this tour, highly recommended for a wonderful experience. Thank you all be being so accommodating! All the best on your new adventure!!

Morning kayaking in Ketchikan
Excursion provided transport to and from the cruise terminal. We started at 730.
About 90 minutes of kayaking - saw starfish, sea lions, sea cucumbers, and bald eagles.
Great tour guides. Would definitely recommend. Much more economical than the similar tour via the cruise line.

Not seeing something you are looking for?
No trip to the Last Frontier is complete without seeing some incredible wildlife. Alaska whale-watching tours depart from all of the state’s major port cities—including Juneau, Seward, and Icy Strait Point (Hoonah)—and vessels make it easy for cruise ship passengers to arrive on time for these exciting excursions. See humpback whales, orcas, and other wildlife up close during their annual migration, and marvel at their unique tail flukes as they dive near your boat. Plus, on-board naturalists offer interesting context.
