Absolutely incredible, I highly recommend this class to everyone. The hosts were great and very friendly and the food we made was incredible. We also learned lots of history about the island and local olive oil and cheeses. A must for foodies.

Mandy and Alex did a fabulous job with this activity. Delivering from the heart, they made it engaging, interactive, interesting, historical, and delicious! They also went above and beyond to accommodate my allergies and I was able to taste everything with separate portions that accommodated me. Just fabulous! highly recommend.

Really interesting class, we learned how to make moussaka baklava taziziki saganaki and other dishes along with a bit of history on Greece and Greek cooking. My husband, who doesn't cook at all, enjoyed the class and was really glad he came. We did not leave hungry, that is for sure. Thanks to Alex and Mandy and the whole team at The Green Frog.

Amazing!! Alex and his mother are wonderful teachers! The food was magnificent! Learning the history of the food and the island made this extra special! This experience was the highlight of our holiday! An absolutely amazing experience with passionate hosts who framed the history of Greece in the most phenomenal way.
We had the opportunity to prepare 5 dishes within 4 hours and try local produce as well. In between courses, Alex would give a modern take on Greek history which contextualised our entire holiday.
Not only did we take away ideas for new dishes when back at home but also recommendations for books and hints to improve our ingredients (olive oil in a tin!)
Honestly, if you want a way to spend a morning which won't leave you sunburnt or disappointed, book this!

Absolutely incredible! The class was well-paced with hands-on recipes, history of Greek food and culture, and breaks for refreshments. The hosts were gracious and happy to answer all our questions on food and all things Greece. If you have a free half-day, this is a definite must on your Zakynthos itinerary!

My mum, sister and me booked this lovely experience, because lovely it sure was.
It is a family owned restaurant and store and you can feel the welcoming warmth!
The team was really amazing and had the perfect balance of cooking, stories, breaks and jokes. We cooked several typical dishes together and were sitting in a wonderfully beautiful garden. All the dishes were very delicious and the stories behind the island, country and cuisine were interesting. We cooked while chatting and sipping wine.
I would have not changed a thing and it did not last a second too long, 4hours of enjoyment!

A memorable experience. Both seasoned cooks and first-timers will enjoy. It was so much fun and informative. In addition, you get an email with all the recipes. Plus, you'll get to share a meal with people from around the world.
You'll want to check out their restaurant (The green Frog) as well, with live music from rock to traditional Zakynthian which really gives you a taste of the island. Ample parking behind the building.

From start to finish, this was an AMAZING experience. Alex, our host and teacher, was wonderfully accommodating, deeply knowledgeable, and obviously passionate about both the area and the food. The cooking was surprisingly easy and it came out delicious. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The setting was beautiful and comfortable despite the heat of the day.
Due to our own scheduling snafu, we had to leave early and Alex not only made sure we had our gyros before leaving, but also arranged for a taxi for us. Would do this again in a heartbeat and encourage anyone curious about the experience to do it.

Had a great time at our class in the Green Frog. The mother son duo were amazing and really taught is about the culture, history, and food of Zakynthos. We made great friends with some couples in the class and had an amazing experience, leaving with full bellies and great memories. If theres only one attraction you can do in Zakynthos MAKE SURE ITS THIS ONE!!

The class is well designed with hands on portions, demonstrations, and tastings woven in. What makes it spectacular though is the care and hospitality of Alex and his family as they tell the story of Greek cuisine and culture through food. You will come away from the class with a fulll belly as well as a full heart.

We did not expect for this cooking experience to be as fun and informative as it was. Alex and Mandy are fantastic hosts, they make you feel so welcome and cared for. Alex gives a great history lesson that ties in with the cooking styles and how food has evolved in Zakynthos and Greece as a whole. An unmissable experience and I'd do it again, every time.

Alex, Mandy and the staff are really nice, friendly and experienced people.
You can see and feel their passion for the art of cooking in its pure simplicity.
They also are amazing hosts: they make you very comfortable with their hospitality and manners, with suggestions and hints while you cook, and with drinks and accomodations they really make you feel like home.
I warmly suggest to participate at the beginning of your trip/vacation, like we did, so the following days you can have a more deep and fullfilling experience around Zante.
In fact, Alex will guide you through all the delicious ingredients and food of the island, but will also inform you about its historical backgroung, information pretty hard to find in guides or organised tours.
The best part of it (except for the moment when you finally sit down to enjoy everything you helped prepare) was the fact that you get to experience everything with other beautiful people from all around the world, so it's really a multi-cultural experience.
Still one of the best things we did in Zante and ever.

Alex and Amanda were amazing! We had such a wonderful time learning about the history of Greek food as well as preparing 5/6 dishes. We tried different olive oils, cheeses and olives. The family is so warm and we are so glad we met them. 10/10 would recommend to anyone interested in learning new dishes to cook, about Greek culinary history and meeting some awesome people.
