This was an amazing hike with our own private tour guide who accompanied us throughout the hike as well as showing us some of the noteworthy sights along the drive. Darwin had great information about the local wild life and tree species, and was very accommodating to let us take photos and create great memories. He took us to the Hatley Castle, which was a treat. Overall a wonderful way to experience nature on the island and a highlight of our trip.

Darwin is an excellent guide. He gave us choices and took the time to find out our interests before we started the hike. He was very informative during the hike and adjusted his pace to our capabilities. The rainforest was beautiful and peaceful. We got to do a second hike along the coast where we were lucky enough to pick wild blackberries and see seals. It was such a great trip, we plan to do another tour when we return to Victoria!

The BC rainforest is beautiful and it was a wonderful hike. Darwin was a great guide and shared lots of historical and botanical information. We also saw animals and he shared information about them as well. He was very patient when I needed to slow down and he tailored the hike to our abilities. Had an excellent private hike with Darwin. He picked us up on time, in a clean and spacious SUV. He had water and snacks available. He gave us a tour of the city while we were driving out of Victoria to get to the hiking location. He took us to two different hiking locations, so that we could experience the rainforest and the coast. We saw beautiful greenery, waterfalls, gardens, and some wildlife - countless photo-worthy views. When he took us to the coast to see seals, he surprised us with two pairs of binoculars, which gave us a much better view. Overall, the tour was excellent and I highly recommend it to anyone!

Darwin was such an incredible guide! He took great care to assure that we’d have the best time- and we did! We got to know historical facts about Victoria on our way to the hiking locations, got to see magical forest trails and beautiful views of the open waters. We had a break with snacks, and then went to more coastal terrain, where we got to see a whole family of seals! Very impressive tour altogether! Would recommend to anyone, since Darwin tailors the experience to the preferences of the individual or group!

Darwin was an excellent guide all around! We have recently moved to Victoria, and he went above and beyond to help orient us to different communities, make recommendations, and tell us about local events. The hikes themselves were both informative and beautiful, giving us the chance to experience two quite different ecosystems, with a castle in the middle! This is a long overdue review of our tour with Darwin.
Darwin was friendly, knowledgeable and very accommodating. Our drive was a lovely and relaxed as Darwin fills us in on not only information about the local geography, but local issues and information about various local eateries.
My husband has quite restrictive mobility issues and these were very much accommodated on our tour, and we still managed to have an amazing hike!
I will definitely be returning to Victoria and will definitely be arranging another tour with Darwin. Actually cant wait, Vancouver Island is stunningly beautiful.

I was visiting my son in Victoria. Our guide picked us up at the door, on time.Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and interesting to listen to. He had stories to tell as we hiked through the forests. Rain was in the forecast and he provided umbrellas, just in case. We found our guided hike pleasant, interesting and mind-opening. The hike was personalized to our interests,level of experience and fitness. We thoroughly enjoyed and we would highly recommend this tour guide company to anyone who has an interest in nature, history and the great outdoors.

Cruise options for Victoria were very limited and I could not find a hike. After speaking to my agent and a few google searches, I found this hike. So glad I did!
Darwin is very knowledgeable about the area and was a great guide. He was very accommodating in discussion our hiking options as well as making a last minute change due to my crew being really tired by the time we got to Victoria. He took us on a beautiful rain forest hike which ended at Tod Inlet. I got to see a lot of sea life we dont have here in Florida and it was a great photo spot.
We were late getting off the boat so we did not have time to do the second hike so he took us to Craigdarroch Castle, the Governor's mansion and Mount Tolmie which was great! We would not have had time to see them all nor would we have known about Mt. Tolmie or the mansion. He dropped us off downtown with info on good pubs and directions on how to get home.
I highly recommend this tour and guide!
