Overview

Get ready for the experience of a lifetime on a Canadian Grizzly Bear expedition. The tour begins with a cruise through Desolation Sound and along the way, you can spot breaching humpback whales and other marine life. Arriving at the Orford River in Bute Inlet, you’ll meet with members of the Homalco First Nations tribe and learn about their history and culture before heading to a viewing platform to watch the grizzlies fish for salmon in the river.

Great experience, lots of bears

Jason was a great skipper and tour guide on the boat always looking for whales. He was also a good bear guide. Stewart and Tony know their bears. I think Stewart even speaks bear. Learned some First People's history and bear behaviors. Felt safe at all times. Tony and Stewart had good jokes. A great day!

We saw at least ten bears plus 2 separate cubs. Most we had to use binoculars to see, but one walked up river in front of us only 20 yards away! We also saw a mother fishing and catching a salmon for her and her cub about 50 yards away. She had to leave the fish though because her cub got caught in the current and she had to go get it.:) Truly a spectacular experience! Our two guides gave us much Homalco culture information and knew where and how to find the bears. The boat ride out to the inlet was just as tremendous too!

La recepción en el centro Perfecta. La experiencia con la comunidad indígena que gestiona el emplazamiento de los osos también excelente. Pero el conductor de la embarcación ( creó que se llamaba Jack ?? ) Fatal su actitud en todo momento. Muy maleducado y con pocas ganas de realizar su trabajo con profesionalidad. En fin una pena que estropee el resto que es UNICO. Vimos 4 Grizzlies en su estado natural
