It was an orientation to the city tour, went to Stanley Park and stopped, Granville Island and stopped. Sam is not only an excellent tour guide, but he does magic tricks! Really excellent ones! He gave insights to the history of the city, told stories and answered a zillion questions. All while driving and working out some logistics issues. Absolutely worth it and an easy pick up!

We enjoyed this tour of Vancouver. Our tour guide, Michael, was awesome! We toured Stanley Park where we stopped briefly then went to Granville Island where we stopped for lunch and shopping then drove through Chinatown and Gaston. Michael told us the history of each area and interesting trivia. I would def recommend this tour to first time Vancouver visitors like us.

Itinerary

Your half-day sightseeing tour begins with pickup at select Vancouver hotels or the cruise ship terminal.

Grab a seat in the comfortable coach for a guided trip through this vibrant seaport city, starting in Gastown. Hear about the historic district from your local guide as you cruise down cobbled streets, then continue to the city's vibrant Chinatown.

Next, trade the urban terrain for Stanley Park, a remarkable 1,000-acre (405-hectare) wonderland of 500,000 cedar, fir, and hemlock trees. Stop at Prospect Point—the park’s highest peak—for splendid vistas of the North Shore Mountains, Lions Gate Bridge, and Burrard Inlet, and marvel at First Nations totem poles at Brockton Point.

It was great! Not only did we stop at Granville Island Market , the Lion Bridge & Stanley Park, but we also toured other areas of Vancouver & learned a lot about the city & its history. Our guide, Rodrigo, was very informative

Poor Tour Company

Tour company we over 30 minutes late to pick up point and although I tried to contact them I got no response. Also had issues with pickup point as although I picked a pick up point from their list there was no pickup time shown for this pickup point after booking was made and I didn't get a response from the tour operator until less than 2 hours before tour departure. Would not recommend this company.

The stops were well chosen, and the guide was well informed—a good driver as well. But I would have welcomed more information about Vancouver’s history and less about the cost of real estate there. I also thought that when attempting to be “interesting,” he was occasionally unseemly. To cite one of several examples, he announced “I used to be a model in an art school and boy I could tell you interesting stories about THAT!” Supervisors might suggest that he reserve that kind of disclosure for when on a date.

The trip is definitely a great intro to the City and its most salient areas to visit. Our guide was knowledgeable local and enthusiastic. Unfortunately due to miscommunication we missed the first half hour of the tour. It was rectified but put our stress levels up and definitely knocked some enjoyment out of the tour for us sadly. It was the company’s fault the World Cup was in town which meant road closures but these were presumably planned weeks in advance. We were only informed about a new meeting place for pick up the day before by the Viator app and not direct WhatsApp or text. We missed it until it was too late.

This is a wonderful way to gain an extensive overview of Vancouver. A lot of history, interesting facts, and stops at the key sites! Our tour guide, Em, was outstanding. The totem poles at Stanley Park were most interesting and the Market variety & size were impressive! Visiting downtown during the FIFA World Cup, and seeing the excitement, was exhilarating. Weather is beautiful as is the city. Thoroughly enjoyable & we highly recommend this tour.
