Comfortable and informative way to get an overview of the city. Recorded commentary on one bus and driver commentary on another.
Convenient way to tour a new city. Stanley Park is a must see. Granville Island has an amazing marketplace— great stop for lunch with something for everyone.
The bus follows the map. But you have to guess where a bus is at any time.
They need to add bus locations to map on the App so that you can decide which stop to get back on at.

Great way to cover all the important things to see. 2 day pass was a good value. We used the 2nd day to get to places we needed to explore more.

but worse… The Hop on and Hop off bus in Vancouver is totally a waste of time. We waited for the bus to arrive for 30 minutes. While in the bus, there was an audio recording that you could barely hear. If you need an uber to Stanley Park or Granville island, take this bus but be prepared to wait for at least 30 minutes or more.
Waste of time and money!!!

The hop on hop off bus was a relaxing way to get around Vancouver and get the layout of the city when you only have a day or 2 in the city. I really loved the drive through Stanley Park -- it was beautiful.

The only reason this isn't a 5 star is because the staff didn't warn us about how sketchy Chinatown is. We got dropped off and walked into a drug den at 11 am. It was the WORST part of town and tried to find a taxi to get out of town. NO luck, the Taxis avoid this area too. We walked to the Gastown area and felt safer.

The buses are advertised as comfortable. They are not! There is no cushioning, and the legroom is minimal. I am 5‘9“ and my knees were touching the seat in front of me. The tour was boring. My husband could not understand anything because the recorded tour was spoken way too fast.

The narration was minimal & impersonal. I have done many on/off buses before that were fascinating, funny and interactive. In addition, the prerecorded narration cut in & out during the presentation. It was very disappointing!

The driver initially refused to adjust the air conditioner. The bus was extremely cold and the riders were complaining. The driver turned the blower on high making it colder. After a second request he turned the off the air conditioner and we were able to enjoy the tour

A great way to see Vancouver when your time is limited. We got off at Stanley Park wandered around to an hour and had a nice lunch at the Pavillion.
Then got back on the bus and headed back to our hotel.
My only negative is the behaviour of other passengers who push in at bus stops with no regard for others very selfish and needs to be monitored by staff

The app was not working correctly, we waited over 40 minutes before a bus came. Once on the bus everything was good.

Be prepared for longer waits at designated pickup points. May need to call to ascertain whether the service is still running for the day. Once you are lucky to get on board, it's a comfy near 2 hour jaunt with prerecorded narrations.

we expected much more based on other Hop on bus tours we have done in other cities. The recordings were unintelligible, no live information by the drivers, on 4 of the 5 buses we were on. Lines were long, drivers were just ok except for the first older man we had who was downright rude.
