we expected much more based on other Hop on bus tours we have done in other cities. The recordings were unintelligible, no live information by the drivers, on 4 of the 5 buses we were on. Lines were long, drivers were just ok except for the first older man we had who was downright rude.

Be prepared to wait more than 15 minutes standing. Unfortunately many taking this tour are elderly who can stand well or for very long.

Great way to see this beautiful city. Buses are regular and the onboard commentary gives a great insight to the history and development of modern day Vancouver. Don’t miss Stanley Park - great for an extended stop and a beautiful quiet walk. The Aquarium is great to visit.

Having the flexibility of visiting locations only of interest to you and remaining as long as you like are the highlights of this tour. One thing that needs to be considered if you have any kind of physical disability is waiting for the bus to pick you up at each of the stops since standing in line waiting for the bus can be about 10 minutes.

Traffic near Canada Place was a mess. Waited 40 minutes for bus to arrive. By that time there were about 100 rolled in the line. Bus could only take about half. We were able to get on but felt bad about the unlucky ones. The experience was OK after we got away from downtown.

we booked and paid for the Hop on Hop off in Vancouver and were never able to board a bus the entire day. waiting lines were in excess of an hour. We talked with others on our cruise that followed our day in Vancouver and they had similar experiences. Afraid to board out of fear they'd never get another bus. Very, very disappointed and a great waste of money.

Our tour /bus driver Sherry was AMAZING!!!! She made the ride light hearted and Pleasant. I didn’t enjoy the prerecorded commentary from the other two drivers! Sherry definitely deserves a raise and lots of praise.

This was a convenient way to see multiple points of interest in a city without having to Uber/Taxi all over. The audio playing during the ride was somewhat informative and the bus driver chimed in periodically with bits of info. If you download the app, purchase the ticket(s), then activate the ticket(s) you can hop on the bus at any of the scheduled stops. Some info listed in the brochure and app made it seem like you needed to get on the bus at the bus starting point / sales office but that is not the case. Also when you activate the tickets you need to provide a confirmation code from your online purchase however the code listed as confirmation code is 10 characters and the app only accepts 8 characters… which is a different code that is also provided on your purchase confirmation. Look for an 8 character code.

Our driver took us to Stanley Park totem poles, told us to be back at a certain time, that we could leave items on board and told us to be back at at a certain time. We were back on time and he left without us leaving 6 people without their belongings. After many phone calls we were able to retrieve our belongings from the tour operators, but we lost the entire planned day. This driver should be fired!

Our Big Bus Vancouver Hop-on Hop-off tour does not stop at the Stanley Park Totem Poles, so the experience described does not align with this tour. It may have been one of our Westcoast Sightseeing guided tours or a tour operated by another company.

It was a great way to see the highlights of downtown Vancouver. We did not have a lot of time so only did a partial loop, but the information was great. We had a nice lunch down by the river which was close to one of the stops.
We had taken a taxi to the hotel our friens were staying at and then tried to find a close by stop which was not right on the corner and we were looking for a big sign as described to us when we got off the cruise at the terminal pier. They are much smaller than described and not right on corners.
We wasted a bit of time there....

Don't book Big Bus. Book the trolley instead. We waited at stop 1 for 30 minutes only to discover that the arriving bus was full. Just a few people got off and we were stuck waiting another 30 minutes with no idea whether we could get on the next bus. Why wouldn't they just release a bunch of buses for the early morning rush and make sure everyone can get on. What a waste of our day in Vancouver. I noticed the trolley didn't seem to have this problem.

I don't recommend it, it's a waste of time and money. I've used this service many times, returning several times each time, for example in Qwebec City. Unfortunately, it didn't make sense in Vancouver.

All went smoothly. Guided tour was good. Traffic with starts and stops was horrendous but nothing the bus driver or company can do about that.

Sherry is amazing very knowledgeable and entertaining. Enjoyable ride, I would ride again!! Highly recommend. Great service, Sherry was very professional helped customers and kept her cool when a she had a rude person yelling at her for doing her job. It wasn’t his concern that was inappropriate but the way he treated her was uncalled for. She needs to know she’s amazing and we are happy we got to meet her.
