First of all, our original tour was canceled. We were happy with the substitution of the Hop on Hop off until it all went wrong. The driver, James, LEFT US at the totem poles in Stanley Park, even though we were back 5 minutes before his stated time. He also told us we could leave our jackets on the bus, which we did. So now we had to wait for the next trolley and hope that the idiot driver left our jackets back at stop one. Because we had to hurry back we couldn't hop/on or off or risk losing our jackets. We were leaving the next day for Alaska. We did report it to Gray Line, but are not hopeful of any compensation for a wasted day. Not Viator's fault, obviously, but still...

This tour is much better than the hop on hop off bus tour as it goes to sites not on the hop on hop off itinerary. I think some of the other reviews highlight a bit of confusion about the 2 different style of tours operated by the same company. The trolley car is lovely and the commentary very comprehensive we thoroughly enjoyed this tour.

Driver did not show and I cannot get a response from Viator to get a refund so had to report the charge to my credit card company.

The tour was ok but Viator did not advertise their tour accurately. The staff didn’t know what to do with my bag so it was brought onto the trolley. Also, I paid extra to get dropped off at the airport; however, I was dropped off at the pick-up and the staff didn’t know what to do with me as they’ve never had someone requesting being dropped off at the airport. After phone calls and confirming my tour, they finally called me an Uber. Truly disappointed overall with my experience. Viator dropped the ball on my tour. Asking for a refund and hope they confirm my request; otherwise, I will never use them again and highly recommend others to not use them as well.

I felt little cheated. I signed up for guided tour but what we got was hop on hop off ride. I almost decided to call and file complaints but decided to let it go.

Our tour was supposed to be a guided tour. It was changed the prior evening to a 48 hour hop on hop off bus voucher. While the trolley guide shared a lot of good information I think we missed out on what we could have learned at some of the stops.

We did and saw so much. I took Guy was so knowledgeable and knew so much about Vancouver. We enjoyed the size of the group and everybody worked well to stick to our time schedule.

We were was supposed to stop in Stanley Park at the Totem Poles and Prospect Point Lookout for 20 min each, Granville Island Public Market for 1 hour and Olympic Village for 20 min. The local tour operator drove by each of these locations but didn’t stop so we could take photos or check out the location

A little confusion with meeting point since maps landed us 1 block away with public benches there too.
Once we arrived to meeting point, it was a really good tour. Grant was informative, funny and patient waiting for last minute passengers. We visited good places that we would not have seen on our own, with our limited time in Vancouver, well worth it.

Having received an email the day before trip I was informed trip had limited numbers so likely to be cancelled. I had the option to cancel which I did by returning an email/instruction and requested a refund.
3 days later no acknowledgement communication or refund received!

The idea was great getting to see all the major points in Vancouver but only 30 minutes or do into the trip our bus broke down. The driver was inexperienced and had no idea what to do. He was not an adequate guide at all. He gave us very little information in the time we were on the bus. Just jokes. He kept trying to start the bus and it was not starting. Traffic was backed up behind us and people needed to get around. He was clueless. Finally some guys came and said out it in neutral and we will push it. He didn’t even know what to do. Finally the guys and my husband and a friend push the trolly up the road so cars could turn and get around us. He told us we could go to the bar close by or look around because another trolly bus was coming. We saw people trying to work ion the trolly bus but no success. We went and asked and he said a bus was coming so we waited. And then someone else in our party went and asked and he said we would just have to do the hop and stop to see what we wanted. Our trip included stops at places that required admission not just hop and stop. We got on the hop and stop finally after waiting for a good while and the guy on there was very knowledgeable and entertaining but we didn’t really know where to stop and what to do as we were depending on the tour to do that. We stopped at Granville island and got lunch and walked around and then when it was time to go there was total confusion as to where to get on the hop and stop bus. They were running us away from where the guy had told us to go so we gave us and had to pay an uber to take our 6 people back to our hotel. It a good experience at all and not real apology from the company that I have seen. We were all going to request a refund but since we booked through Viator figured we should do it here. Is so how do we go about doing that.

We had a great time learning about Vancouver! The bus driver and guide worked together to ensure that we got as close as possible to sites. I learned a tremendous amount and also fell in love with the city.

Tour was very good. Our guide Braydon was great, good personality and his enthusiasm and love of Vancouver made it very enjoyable. Day did not start well as the tour company did not know we would be at the location provided by Viator. When we realized no one was coming for us we called the tour operator and after a few calls they sent the Trolly to pick us up. They never heard of the address Viator gave us for pick up and said they would need to follow up with them. Mentioned they’ve had a few other pick up issues and wondered if they could have been booked through Viator also. Rough start with happy ending

Trip was canceled without notice. Customer service email wasn’t of use either. Try another company or specific trip.

However, sometimes third-party booking agents do not forward these notifications to guests. We have addressed this issue and ensured that all third parties now notify guests promptly about any updates or cancellations.

Arrived at pick up location 10 minutes early, waited 25 minutes and trolley was a no show. Called your provider 4 times with no answer. We searched out another trolley from your provider that told us our tour had been cancelled. We were told that we had been emailed which wasn’t true. They put us on a hop on hop off which made 15 stops but would require a forty minute wait at each stop to get picked up again. The trolley had a guide but the speakers in the back didn’t work so we couldn’t hear anything she was relaying to us. We were told we would get a refund, hope that’s true.
