Our guide, Lorena, expertly guided us all over the city! She was so knowledgeable about the history as well as current happenings. We hit all the hotspots, including gorgeous Stanley Park! We even took our bikes on a small ferry bus across the river to Granville Island, and enjoyed the big Public Market and other shops. It’s a fun, non-strenuous pedal around the city. Book it, you’ll love it!

Overall, this was a nice tour around Vancouver and Stanley Park. Most of the time was spent in Stanley Park, and we were very happy with what we saw there. The time in Granville Island market was fairly short, considering how crowded the market was and the number of things to see there. Luckily, we had already planned to go to the market on another day. There was one notable thing that left our family a bit frustrated. We specifically booked this tour because it said there was an e-bike option, and our family really enjoys e-bikes. As instructed, we tried to contact the tour/bike company in advance to find out more about upgrading to e-bikes. Getting this information was difficult/unattainable. We were just told to upgrade at the bike shop when we arrived. Ultimately, at the bike shop we were told that the e-bike upgrade would be $84 PER BIKE (just for the upgrade) on the day of the tour…. and we could only do this through Toonie Tours (even though there was a sign in the bike shop that renting an e-bike was $64 for a half-day). This upgrade would have nearly doubled the cost of the tour that we had already booked. Needless to say, we didn’t do the upgrade… and we felt swindled.

The city bike tour is brilliant. All the best sights are covered and with the expert knowledge of the guide you will gain a lot of history about Vancouver. Our tour guide was Tomas who is exceptionally passionate about Vancouver. We were fortunate enough to have a private tour with him and he personalised the tour to our wishes. We covered so much of the city in the time and it really gives you a great insight into areas that you want to return to. Highly recommend this tour.
Good bikes and 99% is in bicycle lanes so perfectly safe.

We had a small group 2 married couples with a guide. So really special. Daniel, our guide, did a great job.
Be prepared it is an 11 mile ride, mostly flat, but still not for a person who does not bike regularly.
Response from Host, Jun 2026
"Thank you so much! We're thrilled you enjoyed the intimate, small-group experience and that Daniel did such a great job. We really appreciate your helpful tip about the 11-mile distance—while it's flat and scenic, you're totally right that a baseline comfort with biking makes it much more fun! We'll pass your praise to Daniel and hope to welcome you back for another ride!"

Great ride! So much nicer than a bus tour. Great views, incredible sights. So nice to get out of downtown.
Response from Host, Jun 2026
Thank you so much! We couldn't agree more—there is nothing quite like skipping the bus to get outside, enjoy the fresh air, and see the sights on two wheels. We are thrilled you loved the route and the incredible views away from the downtown hustle. We hope to welcome you back for another great ride the next time you're in town

Such a great way to see the city if you’re low on time. We had only one day/night in Vancouver and this was the perfect way to relax with a fun bike ride whilst taking in the gorgeous city. Daniel was our guide for our group of 4 and he was excellent! Easy-going but kept us on track, always looking out to make sure everyone was safe. He was fun and kind, and had a great accent. Highly recommend the tour and highly recommend Daniel!
Response from Host, May 2026
Thank you so much for the glowing review! We are so glad we could help you make the most of your single day in Vancouver—there truly is no better way to see the sights than on two wheels.
It is wonderful to hear that Daniel made your group of four feel so well taken care of. Balancing a fun, relaxed atmosphere with a focus on safety is exactly how he operates, and we’re thrilled you enjoyed his company (and his accent!) along the way. We’ll be sure to share these kind words with him—he will be so happy to know he helped make your short stay in our city a memorable one.
We hope you have a fantastic rest of your travels, and we would love to welcome you back for a longer visit next time

We had an incredible experience on this e-bike tour—it was honestly one of the best ways to explore the city.
Cameron was outstanding: friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire ride feel safe and fun. He shared interesting stories about the city’s history and culture while keeping a relaxed pace so everyone could enjoy the experience. You could tell he really knew the area and cared about making the tour memorable.
The route itself was perfect. We rode through some of the most iconic spots, including Stanley Park, the scenic seawall, and vibrant neighborhoods like Chinatown and Gastown and made it in time to see the famous steam clock play it’s tune The views of the ocean, downtown skyline, and mountains were absolutely stunning.
One of the highlights was cruising through Stanley Park, seeing the towering old trees and stopping at viewpoints overlooking the water and bridges—it’s something you wouldn’t fully appreciate without a guided ride.
Even if you’re not a regular cyclist, the electric assist makes it easy to enjoy the ride without getting tired.
Overall, this tour is a fantastic mix of sightseeing, light adventure, and local insight. It’s a great way to cover a lot of ground in a short time while learning about the city.
Response from Host, Jun 2026

We are absolutely thrilled that you loved the e-bike route and that Cameron made your ride so safe, fun, and memorable—catching the steam clock's tune was perfect timing! We love showing off Stanley Park and our vibrant neighborhoods on two wheels. We'll be sure to pass your high praise along to Cameron. Happy cycling wherever your travels take you next

A nice comprehensive tour showing all the highlights of Vancouver. Cameron has a lot of knowledge and can bring his stories to life.
Unfortunately, the rest of the group was so slow that we were waiting a lot and the first half of the tour in Stanley Park ran long. This meant we had to cut the second half of the tour around Granville Island and Downtown short, which was a shame since now most of the tour was just riding around Stanley Park and the Seawall instead of learning about the history and culture of the city.
It felt like you wouldn't need a guide per sé to ride along the seawall and Stanley Park, so it would've been nicer if there was more time spent on the other parts of the city and the culture and history.
Overall fine experience but not extraordinary.
Response from Host, Nov 2024
Thank you for your review and feedback! We're glad to hear that Cameron's knowledge and storytelling added value to your experience. We also appreciate your insight regarding the pacing of the tour. We understand your desire for a more balanced exploration of both Stanley Park and other key areas of the city, and we'll take your comments into consideration to improve the experience for future guests.
We hope that despite the timing, you were still able to enjoy the highlights of Vancouver. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts, and we wish you safe and exciting travels ahead! 🌟😊

Highly recommend this tour through Toonie Bike tours. One of our group was anxious about the tour, but Andrew created a 5-star experience for us, making us feel as if we were the only ones on the tour. He used his humor and vast knowledge of history to create a safe & fantastic bike ride for us. We even learned some photography tips along the way. It was a novel way to spend half a day in Vancouver and get a sense of all the primary areas.
Response from Host, Oct 2023
Thank you for the great 5-star review! We are so happy you enjoyed the tour with Andrew. We hope to see you on our other tours!
Best,
Jameela
