Itinerary

Your day tour starts with hotel pickup by your private guide for the drive to your first activity—visiting Ubud's art villages. You'll see an array of artwork and crafts at Tohpati, known for batik; Celuk, known for gold and silver art; Mas, known for wood carving; and Batuan, known for painting.

When you're in Batuan, you'll also also visit a traditional Balinese house compound to see the way families live together on the island. Then head to Desa Batuan Temple to admire Balinese architecture and ornamentation both inside and outside the structure before your tour continues into Ubud, about a 10-minute drive.

Visit the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary to spot the local monkeys, and see Puri Saren Palace, where Ubud's royal family resides. When your time in Ubud is over, head about 45 minutes to the coast to Tanah Lot Temple, known for its prime location on the rocky shoreline. As you watch the sunset, you can ponder the significance of the temple—one of the seven sea temples along Bali's coastline—which is part of the island's mythology. Afterward, you'll be returned to your hotel for drop-off to end your tour.
