We had a great day out. Cycling gives you a completely different view of Bali and allows you to experience Balinese life up close - we visited a temple and a Balinese home and cycled through rice fields as people were working them. Our guide was very knowledgeable and allowed up plenty of time to stop and soak up our surroundings. Our breakfast and lunch was delicious.

Well planned trip, quite relaxing, even with the bicycling, all downhill, good experience meeting locals at home and in a ricefield. The guides were excellent and took good care of us. Absolutely recommendable.

Authentic insight into the real Bali - you will not be disappointed!

An authentic insight into rural Bali whilst taking a leisurely (mostly downhill) bike ride. We had a super guide Kadek, who was such fun, passionate about his culture and very informative. We took in several activities including visiting Mount Batur, a tea/coffee plantation, a local temple, a typical village house and the rice paddy fields, not rushed and very peaceful and enjoyable. We had a delicious breakfast and lunch and the bikes/helmets were well maintained. We're so glad we did this trip as it showed us the side if Bali not overrun with tourists.

Totally worth it

I actually didn't end up going as my kidneys got infected a few days before the cycling, but I'm leaving a 5 star review because of the kindness and care from the family who runs this tour. To be far from home and have someone send kind messages when I cancelled was really sweet. Really excited to try this tour next time.

We loved this tour, our guide Kadek has a huge personality and very friendly & welcoming. Breakfast was simple but perfect, and we met Kadek who explained the days itinerary. After eating, we went to the lookout of Mt Batur (including seeing the previous lava flow) and crater lake. From there it was the downhill bike ride! Bikes , helmet and bottle of water all supplied. The bike seats can be a little hard but alternate bum cheeks or take your own gel seat :) One of the stops was at a local family compound, which is very interesting & the tour company pays the family a donation so tourists can visit - interesting cultural experience. After an easy 15km downhill ride, Kadek then gave us a couple of riding options dependent upon ability & experience. Then back to the restaurant for lunch - once again a lovely simple lunch before being driven back to the hotel. Our driver was very patient and made sure we arrived safely although it was apparently a busy day traffic wise and took longer than expected (we were staying at Legian).

Our tour was honestly the activity highlight of our trip to Bali. Our tour guide was lovely, and everything was superb simple from pickup to drop off. The included meals were great, and the different teas and coffees from the plantation were great fun to sample. The ride itself was very very fun. If you are worried about fitness levels - don't be. As long as you are able to stay upright, gravity does all the work. We maintained a steady pace with plenty of breaks, and hardly any pedalling was required. Highly highly recommend this experience.

A chance to see the real Bali

A fantastic way to see the Ubud area and learn a little more about the people and culture. Cycling along quiet backroads through small villages and past Temples with an enthusiastic guide who is proud of his culture; for us this was a memorable experience. And yes, it was rolling down-hill for a couple of hours!

Great day out, would do again!

The drive is the killer, we travelled from Nusa Dua. The day was really lovely, we had private as only the 4 of us. No rush, slow paced day. Tour guide was informative and friendly. Breakfast plain, lunch good 👍 Overall a really good day out! And the rain held off, so even better! Watch the toilet steps at restaurant, hubby slipped on he's arse as super slippery.

Does not deliver what is promised

A much longer trip from Nusa Dua than expected (estimated return time 14:30 actual return time after 5pm even after paying ourselves for toll on the way home. The bikes were in poor condition and uncomfortable (squeaking brakes), some helmets damaged, tour guide ‘forgot’ to include the spot with views over vulcano… the van did not follow us even though we were encouraged to leave our packs inside hence, no access to long sleeved shirt or knee braces during the trip.. the visit to the temple was a non event because it was closed. We did enjoy the scenery and visit to the family home and coffee plantation (coffee plantation did not need so much time) breakfast and lunch enjoyable. We have booked several cycling tours in our travel but this one has unfortunately been the most disappointing one so far.

Book it for an authentic, beautiful experience

What an amazing tour! Augus was a wonderful guide and got on super well with my two boys. The course is mainly downhill so it was absolutely no problem for the children and we felt so safe throughout and on the roads. Our driver was amazing too, the drive to and from the villa was over 3 hours in total but we didn't feel rushed after the lunch. The restaurant was also wonderful, the staff so so kind and friendly. This tour came recommended by my friend and I could most definitely recommend this to everyone else. We also found the route extremely beautiful and authentic. At one point, we passed the family houses by the rice paddies and the local children ran beside the bikes as we cycled through, laughing and cheering. It was so much fun! Thank you Kadek and team for an amazing adventure!

Thoroughly enjoyed the tour. The guide was chatty, extremely knowable and helpful. Our daughter was a little nervous cycling but was put at ease and looked after wonderfully. We left our purchase of coffee from the plantation in the car, the guide retired it to us that evening. Really kind. Highly recommend as a fun way of seeing the ‘real’ Bali.
