The tour starts in the museum which has some great artefacts and a copy of the shroud. Sarah was really knowledgeable and shared some really insightful history of the shroud. She included several stops of interest and made sure we could continue our exploration after this tour.

Iliana’s English is very good which made communication easier than I expected. She is very knowledgeable on the subject of the Path of the Shroud. She has many historical facts swimming around her brain and shares what she knows. She is focused on the subject but is ready to take a side trail if that has perked your interest. The walking part was doable for this 70 yo but I was seriously challenged doing it in “feels like temp” of 97 degrees.
There are so many interesting and beautiful places and things to see on this tour. The path of the Shroud is well mapped out. I definitely recommend this tour for anyone who can walk for three hours and if Iliana is your English guide you will enjoy her warmth and knowledge.

This tour was an excellent overview of the holy shroud. Plus the top highlights of the city of Torino. Our guide Christina was extremely knowledgeable and very informative. She was able to answer a variety of questions even though not related to the subject of our tour.

I am a Lutheran believer without any strong views of relics. The Turin Shroud is still more than a relic, it is such a well-known part of the history even without taking any stance as to its actual provenance.

We couldn’t recommend Sarah enough! She was so knowledgeable about the history Turin, the Holy Shroud and Royal family - we were beyond impressed. She really made us feel like we were locals by giving us so rich details along the way. While the museum and church were absolutely beautiful on their own, her knowledge really made this a much more in depth and personal journey that we would have never experienced if we tried to do this on our own. If we could rate more than 5 start we absolutely would!
This was a very intertesting tour and Carla did a great job. The tour starts at the Shroud Museum which is very small but has interesting artifacts with respect to the history of the Shroud. From there you go to the Cathedral where the Shroud is strored in a protective vault in a chapel (note you will NOT see the Shroud itself as it is not on display). After that you have entry to the Royal Museum to see the Chapel constructed to hold the Shroud in the past.
Also note your ticket gives you FULL ACCESS to the Royal Museum, Archeological Museum and Gallery so if you are taking this tour you should not do that separately.
Sarah was very knowledgeable and provided an exceptional tour experience. Sarah provided thorough explanations and guided us to and through the museum and church/cathedral.

We took a train from Milan to Torino for the private tour but the local operator did not show up at the designated time (3 pm). No one informed us about what was going on. We contacted Viator for assistance but they could not find the local operator at first. Later we were able to connect with the local company and we were told that something had happened to the tour guide. We were upset that no one had contacted us about this, which was certainly bad business practice. After much discussion, they sent us a replacement guide, but we had to wait for an hour for her to arrive. As a result, our tour started an hour late. The replacement guide was very nice. However, since we had to catch the train back to Milan at a certain time, we had to rush and finish our tour early. As a result, the tour was only 2 hours long instead of 3. We have taken many tours from Viator before, but this was the worst experience!! We believe that we should be reimbursed for one third of the cost.
Donatella was prompt and very kind. She spoke my language perfectly and very clearly is very knowledgeable about the topic of the Shroud of Turin. She answered all of my questions thoughtfully and gave me time to absorb the information. She was kind enough to show me things that aren't usually on the tour but she thought I would find interesting during my visit to Torino. I do recommend this tour!
