Our driver/guide David was excellent. He was a very safe driver and an excellent guide. He cares for his customers. He is courteous and accommodating. He even added a stop for us for some photo ops. He is funny and communicates well. I highly recommend David.

Title led us to believe it was a private tour, it was not. When we returned I read the description again, at the very bottom it says limited to 7, there were 8 on our trip. We were never offered the bottled water. Communication with pick up was good. Guide was personable.

This tour starts by going to Predjama Castle, which is nothing like I’ve ever experienced before. Seeing how this castle was built into the side of a rock face was amazing, and then going from room-to-room to see the inside was interesting. From there, you travel to the Postojna Cave. The caves are 10 degrees Celsius year round, so make sure you have a jacket. I have never been inside a cave system before, so this was a first for me. The rock formations inside were spectacular. FYI, there were no stairs within the caves; it was all ramps. The Castle was nothing but stairs.

We loved Slovenia. Beautiful and wonderful places. Would highly recommend David. He was very accommodating providing transport from the cruise ship to the sites in Slovenia. Made sure we knew all about the sights we were seeing, including the castle and the caves! He helped us get our tour tickets set-up, helped us take photos, and kept our luggage safe. He was also knowledgeable about Venice and transportation needs. Parked and walked us to the water taxis area. Helped us with the luggage and to get on a water taxi to our hotel in Venice. Cannot recommend him enough. We had an enjoyable, relaxing day transferring from Trieste to Venice via Slovenia. Definitely a highlight of our two week vacation!!

Best part of our Euro tour so far! We knew little about Slovenia and David was very knowledgeable about history, geography, politics and culture. Dave from D-touring is an excellent, professional tour guide. He is efficient and responsive and responsible. He took initiative to reach out in advance about meeting time and logistics. Arrangements to tourists spots were great and gave good advice. I highly recommend him for small group private tours.

Tour guide is very friendly and took us to the castle and caves. He waited for us even to have a lunch at the cave. We booked the tour so we can get off the cruise ships and hop right on. Our suitcases were in the back so it was very convenient. He then dropped us off at our hotel and helped unload our bags when tour was over. Very nice guy and I highly recommend using him for private tour. Almost same price as if we booked a bus tour but would be less convenient and not great friendly tour guide.

The cave and the castle experience were both extraordinary. I’ve never experienced anything like this. Everyone was very nice too. Our driver David was very nice but we had no air conditioning in the back of the van which we should have had but he was very nice too.

The cave and midevil castle were AWESOME! My husband, son and myself all enjoyed this experience. The cave was very cold so be prepared for that. Our driver David made the visit very easy by picking us up at our hotel, and providing tickets to the sights. We would recommend this experience.

Tour operator (David) was wiling to pick us up from our hotel which was welcomed.. He was a comforting and confident driver and did not cause any car sickness. Castello di Predjama was very interesting – built into a cave. The sefl-guided audio tour was excellent. The highlight was the Postojna Cave, which was much bigger and more impressive than we had imagined, and seeing the "baby dragon' (Olm, salamander), which had been a lifelong ambitition.

The cave was the most spectacular wonder we’ve ever seen. Billy and Dave were awesome. So welcoming and friendly. We did not feel rushed for time. I lost my phone in Billy’s car. Since his number was on my phone, I had to call Viator who phoned Dave who called Billy! Billy had my phone and Dave provided my husband’s phone number. We connected and Billy and Dave drove back to the port to deliver my phone!!! We can’t say enough great things about them and Viator. Losing my phone was cause for panic but it all worked out in the end due to coordination with them and Viator. Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We love Billy and Dave

Very good excursion with castle and caves. Driver David was very good. Castle done first to avoid crowds. Then to caves where we had 45 min to eat before entering the caves at 11:45. First 20 min by train and then 1.5 hours walking through the caves (no stairs). A very large group with English speaking guide. Make sure you're a little bit ahead. Then again by train 20 min. We were promptly at the agreed time of 14:30 again in Triest for Hotel Savoia Excelsior (opposite cruise terminal).
