A tour of Toledo is a MUST, especially since it is accessible in 30 minutes via high speed train from Madrid. But Toledo in June is not for the faint of heart. With its cobblestone streets, uphill climbs, and direct sun and extreme summer heat, you must take precautions by wearing appropriate clothing and footwear. Water is essential. Our experience with Noelia was extensive but just the right pace. Noelia provided us with historical, cultural, and religious context as we traversed the beautiful streets of Toledo. Her calm, friendly, and humorous nature was a breath of fresh air. In addition to the sites on the itinerary, Noelia gave us additional tips to continue our journey on our own.

Want to to be sold olive oil?

The tour guide was lovely; however, the company's business model doesn't work for me. Since the company gives itself the freedom to do bilingual tours, we found ourselves feeling guilty to the other tour members while the tour guide provided the information a second time for our benefit. An hour into the tour, we were led to an olive oil shop to be sold products. I did not pay for a tour to end up spending 25% of the time being sold products. At this point, we left. It was obvious we would get no more out of the tour than a short wikipedia article. We also wouldn't feel guilty to the other tourists who got bored when it was our turn to hear the information. The guide was a lovely woman, but the company runs a terrible program.

We did not take the tour. Operator contacted us that the 11:00 tour we booked had to be moved to 12:45 because of a medical issue. As "compensation," the operator offered us a spot at 12:45 and access to the night tour, but in Spanish. How could that help when we don't speak Spanish?? Will ask for partial refund.

Nice experience in Toledo

Rachel provided excellent information. We enjoyed our tour. We purchased the bracelet access to 7 sights in our tour bundle. We would not do that part again and would get a guided tour of the cathedral instead.

Contact point and person is confusing

The quality of the tour and it's respective guides were very good and professional. However the way we were directed to the contact point and De Paseo, the contacted person is misleading and confusing. A email saying that there's a change of schedule was sent to me just a day before the tour. After I replied with the options named, there wasn't any confirmation. By the time we located the yellow mailbox, De Paseo who supposed carrying a white umbrella never turns up. We have been contacting all the tour guides in the Square and none of them belongs to your company. It's really embarrassing and at one point causing us to panic. Finally a nice lady turned up and tried to identify us. She escorted us to the city tour group. We were introduced to another lady who did the Cathedral tour thereafter. We give you 4 stars because of your guides but definitely not the way you direct and manage the point of contact.

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about historical and cultural information of Toledo. She was very helpful in navigating the winding streets. The tour was a great value for the time we had. We took the train from Madrid for the day and it was a very pleasant day of sightseeing.

Cancelled tour

The tour did not go ahead. We were contacted the day before to say the tour time would be changed from the morning to the afternoon due to operational reasons. I assume they didn't have enough people booked onto the morning tour to go ahead with the tour. We explained we couldn't make the new time as we were only visiting for the day and requested a refund. We understand these things happen and accepted this tour was cancelled. However they then stopped responding to contact and haven't issued a refund.

Things seemed a bit discombobulated at the beginning because our guide passed us off to another guide who spoke better English and after a while she passed us off to a third guide. However the two guides who showed us around were very nice and competent.

Unfair vendor

The tour guide was very nice. Our original tour was to be in English and last for 3 hours. I even emailed them to verify. The tour was “amended” and was turned into 2 separate tours. The first 1.5 hours were in English AND Spanish. We felt like we stood around listening to Spanish most of the time which was a waste since we didn’t understand. Then the “2nd” part where we were to visit 3 of the sites started with a repeat of what we had just listened too in the first part of the tour. Complete waste of time. We did get to see the 3 buildings but again in English and mostly Spanish. It was very disappointing. I contacted this vendor with NO response. I then tried for a refund through Viator and was denied. I booked 5 tours through Viator on a 12 day trip. This response is upsetting. It wasn’t a ton of $ but they clearly don’t care about their customers. There are other tours. Book with them instead!!

Interesting history of the Toledo monuments and synagogues. Unfortunately the tour started 45-50 minutes late, and due to more people than tour guides, a few tours combined with ours. Less personal than anticipated

First if all I want to say that the guide was very nice and worked very hard to make this tour work well. The only reason this got 2 stars instead of 1 was the professionalism of the guide. The issue was the way it was organized. This tour is in both Spanish and English which does NOT work. It wasted everyone’s time and was very difficult to concentrate. The English version was more brief and sometimes hard to understand. For those taking the monument portion, there is a half hour break in between which was another time waster.
