What To Expect
Start your scuba diving adventure with pick-up from your South Tenerife hotel and relax on the journey to the Ocean Trek dive school in Costa Adeje.
After meeting with your guide, zip up your wetsuit, strap on your oxygen tank and head out into shallow waters to begin your lesson. With an expert instructor at your side, learn basic diving techniques and safety maneuvers, including cleaning your mask and how to descend and ascend.
Once you feel ready, it’s time to set sail for the open seas and try out your newfound skills for real. Accompanied by your instructor, you’ll dive up to 39 feet (12 meters) and swim amid an array of colorful corals and exotic fish. If you’re lucky, you might even spot rays and sea turtles during your 45-minute dive.
Back on dry land, your tour ends with a drop-off at your hotel.

Great experience with kids aged 14, 12 & 9 - all first time divers. Guides were informative, encouraging, calm & patient and made us feel so safe at all times. 4 divers accompanied our party of 5 and guided us with confidence. Visibility was not ideal due to the weather but we still had a fabulous trip.

The whole process was seamless with no hiccups.

The team were really friendly, professional and helpful. There were almost as many staff as divers and so safety was always covered. We were taken through everything and practised before doing any diving.
My only negative is that, because you dive off the beach and not from a boat out at sea, the water is not very clear and so there isn’t much to see. However, I can’t really fault the whole experience for a first experience to see if it’s something you wanted to take further. You do get a decent amount of time underwater and they take loads of pictures if you wanted a record.

With the visibility underwater it is a little matter of luck. Often it is great but sometimes not. Unfortunately you had a few not so optimal days, we are sorry for that.
Going further out with the boat usually doesn't help either. Sometimes it is even more dangerous with poor visibility. Just a little further out, it goes down steeply to over 3000 meters.
We hope to see you again soon and that there will be better visibility next time.

It was my first dive and the second one of my wife. They took the time to educate us and feel save in the water with the gear. We were only by us two and two instructors. From start to end you know they are professionals. We went step by step deeper and saw a lot of different fishes.

We went with our daughters (age 12 and 11) and none of us had done scuba diving before. After looking at some reviews we decided to book with Ocean Trek due to great comments about the care and attentions from the instructors which I thought our daughters would need. We were not disappointed, Ocean Trek does live up to the expectation!
Booking process was smooth, we got an email confirmation of the time and location to pick up within a day and the pick up was on time and the driver was very friendly.
Everyone was so friendly and Juan was extremely professional and friendly during the briefing session.
We then travelled to the beach and started with some practice in the shallow water. I thought my daughters would be nervous but it turned out to be myself who really struggled to breathe under the water! A few times during the practice I said to Juan that I couldn't do it but Juan was extremely patient with me and continued to practise with me with lots of encouragement. I must have taken some extra time to practise in the shallow sea but Juan never rush me but made sure we were all comfortable with our breathing, hand signals etc. before we set off to go deeper under the water.
There were altogether 4 instructors staying with us throughout the whole experience. They kept a very close eye on our daughters and we felt really safe under the water. I conquered my fear and was able to relax and appreciate the wonderful scenery under the water - all credits go to Juan's patience and professionalism.
We have done other excursions befor3e but this is certainly the most wonderful experience we had. The whole team was brilliant thank you all for giving us this special memories!

Picked up on time from our hotel by Gerhard and driven to the diving centre. When we arrived we were greeted and given wetsuits with a briefing from our instructor, Juan. We were then driven to Los Cristianos and given a further clarification on the equipment, kitted up and headed into the sea nearby. The dive itself was fantastic, we saw a variety of fish and the experience itself felt safe at all times with the aim of having fun. We dived for about 45 minutes which went by quickly. Juan is a great instructor who was clear and patient, Zoe took some awesome photos as well (worth noting; photos are an additional cost of 10 euros per person, in cash only at the diving centre - worth every penny). I would happily recommend!

We had a very lovely experience! I am not a great swimmer so I was a bit afraid at the beginning but the instructor made sure to provide a very calm diving and he was very careful and constantly verifying that we felt good under the water! We did not see turtles but instead we saw many colorful fishes. The experience was amazing !!

Our instructor Sean was patient and incredibly knowledgeable on how to help me with the correct breathing. Amazing experience. It's my first time to get into the sea. I was terrified at the beginning because I can't swim. But I became more and more relaxed in the water with the coach guide. The coach is professional and patient so that I wasn't scared when I went into the water deeper and deeper. Thank you very much, Thomas.
