We are sincerely sorry for the frustration and inconvenience you experienced. We understand how disappointing it is to wait for a tour that doesn’t arrive and have to arrange alternative transportation on the fly.
However, we must clarify that we never received a booking confirmation from Viator for your excursion. As we mentioned during our phone call, your reservation never appeared in our system, which is why no vehicle was dispatched. This appears to be a technical synchronization error on Viator's platform, and as a local provider, we have no visibility or control over these external system failures.
Regarding your refund, since the transaction was made directly with Viator, we do not hold your funds nor do we have the authority to process returns on their behalf. You must request your full refund directly through Viator’s customer service, as they are responsible for managing your payment and notifying us of your booking.
We deeply regret that a platform error affected your trip, and we hope they resolve your refund request promptly.

They cancelled 20 minutes before they were supposed to meet us and after we already were on our way to meet up! Only learned of them cancelling when I called for better directions! Would rate negative if I could.

• Official Government Alert: On the day of your booking, the Canary Islands Government issued an official weather alert. As a responsible company, we have a strict protocol: we will never compromise the physical safety of our guests, employees, or partners in the face of dangerous weather conditions.
• Safety-First Cancellation: During official alerts, authorities often close access to key areas (such as Mt. Teide or Anaga). While we regret the short notice, weather conditions in the islands can shift dramatically within minutes, forcing us to make immediate, difficult decisions for everyone's well-being.
• Commitment to Excellence: Our reputation and our 2024 & 2025 Excellence Awards are built on reliability and professional ethics. Operating during an official government alert would be an act of negligence that we simply do not allow.
We understand your frustration, especially since you were already on your way, but safety must always take precedence over any sightseeing activity.

Wonderful small group excursion with Diego. He was a knowledgeable and experienced tour guide. He really showed us the beauty of Canary Islands, He took us to the volcano, to a local restaurant and the town. I highly recommend Diego as he is top notch, His English was very good as well.

We want to clarify that, following our standard protocol and what is stated in the booking information, we always send the exact meeting point and your guide's name the day before the excursion. This crucial information is sent through multiple channels: WhatsApp message, SMS, and a message via the Viator booking platform—specifically to ensure it reaches the customer.
To receive this information promptly, it is essential that customers are attentive and have an active internet or mobile connection at the destination to receive these messages (WhatsApp and/or SMS) the day before the tour.
We have checked our records and confirm that the details for your meeting point and guide were sent correctly through all three channels on the previous day.
We regret if there was a communication failure on your end in not receiving or viewing these messages in time, and we understand that the difficulty in contacting New York support or being transferred to a Spanish recording made your experience even worse.

The directions to meet the driver was very unclear. It was difficult to find the meeting point. Information on this tour should have mentioned how much the temperature drops at the mountain and to bring warm clothes/extra layers.
The driver was late arriving. Caused for confusion at the start of the tour. We didn’t start until 9:15 am.
She left us too long at one stop. We were very cold.

Our tour guide Diego was a walking encyclopedia. We learned so much about the forest, the volcano & Tenerife in general. We felt at home & Diego was very patient while we were asking questions to which he promptly answered. Couldn't have asked for a better tour guide. Five Stars!

Hassan Coca Cola was an awesome guide. His running commentaries and knowledge of the history of the region were entertaining and impressive. He was a delight and showed us every sight we requested. This demonstration involved a significant police presence and the closure of numerous access points to the capital. This significantly hindered the smooth running of the excursion and, most importantly, compromised the safety of our clients and employees.
Our top priority is the safety of our customers, and we would never put your well-being at risk. Faced with a situation that could have caused unnecessary complications and risks, we opted to cancel the excursion and offer you the option to reschedule it or receive a full refund.

The communication from driver to us was poor. It says port pick up but really we had to walk almost a mile to a rental car service where she picked us up in a small van. Barely room for 4 adults. Her English was par none. She didn’t know how to drive a stick shift and we were stuck on steep hill. My husband had to take over the drive to get us out of traffic and up the hill. She did take us to a very quaint local winery and we had a great lunch. Bellen has a lot to learn about touring. All our stops were cut short and missed seeing the downtown area

Johnny was the ultimate guide, the very best! He was courteous, informative and accommodating. We were able to view this island from a native’s point of view. We ended the tour with what has been the highlight of our cruise, it is it to a local restaurant. The three of us enjoyed and multicourse meal of native food, and it was sumptuous.
