We were met at the port nicely. The guide had trouble with the sound system in the van, but his English was good and we were driven to the highlights. At Hercules Caves we didn’t have access to the paid section of the caves that led to the water. We drove for a bit to find camel-ride vendors by the roadside and we loved the photo op. That was enough. Lol! As far as shipping and bargaining, we were taken to a building that 3 floors of various goods. We also visited an apothecary to buy Morrocan oil and other elixirs. We didn’t have a chance to experience the street vendors and haggle with them. Overall, a decent tour. I think our guide was trying to ensure that we stayed safe.

Just completed a Tangier small group tour in Morocco booked through Viator. We were a group of 12 so ended up having a private tour. A little problem with air-conditioning on the minibus, but otherwise very comfortable Tour guide was great. The camel ride was the highlight of the day. Would highly recommend this tour.

It was so nice to have the small group experience. The driver made our trip so so special. He went out of his way to make the trip memorable. He cared about his customers and their needs. And especially about his profession to the show the world Tangier.

Good choice for a one day excursion to see Tangier. Our guides were knowledgeable and friendly. The included lunch was plentiful but nothing to remember.

I've always had great luck with viator in all different countries, however this was not a good experience. The guide did not speak very good English, and he didn't provide any guidance or knowledge to us. When he did speak he wouldn't wait until everyone was off the bus and so those of us at the back by the time we were off the bus he'd stopped talking. They did not use any radio/whisperers to hear him. This tour did not provide the "included" features at the Hercules Caves. The group was taken into a touristy cave not the real cave. When my friend complained that it was supposed to be included another person from that company appeared and took my friend and I into the actual cave which was wonderful. We were told not to tell anyone else on the tour (despite them having paid for entrance) that we'd been allowed in. And the guide made it seem like they were having to pay the entrance out of their own pocket which is why they didn't want to take everyone in. There were absolutely no line ups to get into the cave so I can only imagine they were just pocketing the entrance fee for the others in the group who did not get to go. The fee for the Kasbah museum was also included however we were only permitted to see the outside (again no lines to enter). There was no explanation as to why we did not go in. The camel ride on the beach was fun despite being dropped at the wrong location and having to walk a half mile in the sand to get to them. The lunch provided was delicious. This has been the only bad viator experience I've had over the years and do hope they look into the guides for future excursions.

First, the number of tour passengers exceeded the advertised maximum of 15.
The tour guide was terrible, perhaps the worst we have ever experienced. His English was very bad and his strong accent made him almost totally impossible to understand by any of the passengers. We have used Viator in the past with great results, but in this case, you advertised a professional English speaking guide, which, was totally incorrect on this tour.
As we moved from stop to stop, he never explained where we were going, any history or background or special details of our itinerary. He basically just sat silently in his seat in the bus. When we did stop, he just said, “Let’s go” and we got off the bus and walked without knowing anything about where we were going.
On our stop for the camel ride, the bus parked at lest a quarter mile away from the camel’s location, forcing us to walk all that extra distance in the soft sand along the water.
In all, we rate this tour a “1” because it did not stop at all the advertised itineraries, we received no information about any of the local culture or any details or information about any of the prescribed stops.
As a result of the above, a full refund of this tour is expected

Regarding the group size, this departure included 16 guests (8 couples). As we could not split couples, the group exceeded the originally advertised limit by one. Based on this experience, we have updated the maximum group size to 16 going forward to avoid any confusion.
We sincerely apologize for your experience with the guide and the lack of explanations during the tour. This does not reflect our usual standards, and your comments have been shared internally so we can take corrective action.

The tour was bad. They didn’t have enough tour guides so they found someone doesn’t usually do that specific tour. As a guide he was terrible. His English was severely limited. He couldn’t give us any history or reasons why we were visiting each location. He and a new driver got confused over the drop off point for the camel rides. That was fun but short. We went to the Casbah and he couldn’t give us any history or interesting stories of the area except to point out the color of the doors. At Hercules cave we only got to see the tacky souvenir cave. It wasn’t even the actual cave. We didn’t even know we were in the wrong cave until another passenger said something. The guide told us we couldn’t go because it would take too long. Ridiculous answer since we all paid for this excursion and the end time of the tour was well within port departure. At the Medina our guide had to get help from another guide because he didn’t know his way around. Thankfully we had an amazing meal. The shopping was guided to places most weren’t interested in. Luckily we had a ten minute stop to look at some view of the dock and were able to do a little shopping on our own. When it was time to go back to the ship the guide put us on the wrong mini tour bus. We had to get out and find the right one.

The port pick up was a little confusing, but ended up ok. It was a good experience, tour guide and driver were really good and the lunch was great. The only problem was we were taken to a shop that only sells high price rugs, silver and jewelry. No time to buy magnet or t-shirt because the guide said not to buy from vendors at cave or other stops but then never took us for that opportunity.

The walking portion is quite easy as it's downhill through the Kasbah and Medina but if anyone in your group has difficulty with walking they might want to consider other options. Our guide took exceptionally good care in providing assistance to my spouse who was struggling with the walking portion and i can't thank him enough
The entire day from start to finish was very interesting, informative and we enjoyed all aspects. The Camel ride and caves of Hercules were the high point for me but loved every moment

Very much enjoyed our tour, our first time in Morocco and Africa. Visiting Pericaris Park and learning of its origins was fascinating. Expect to see a lot of history. Only 2 things we would suggest could be improved. The camel ride was not on the beach but in a space beside the beach and we received no pre-ride instructions. We did not visit the Hercules caves as we were told there would be a three hour wait.
