- Bennelong is the Sydney Opera House's signature restaurant. Enjoy either entree and main or main and dessert with paired wines.
- Midden by Mark Olive is known for alfresco harbourside dining under the Sails of the Sydney Opera House. Enjoy either entree and main or main and dessert with two beverages your choice of Australian wine, beer of soft drinks
- Meet a member of our Welcome Team at 415pm at The Lounge of the Upper Level, near the Box Office
- Your tour will depart at 430pm. After your tour our guide will drop you off at either Bennelong or Midden by Mark Olive, depending on your booking for dinner.
- Dinner booking is from 530pm - 730pm
- Some patrons like to dress up and make a special night of their Sydney Opera House experience, whilst others choose to dress casually for comfort. Please note for dinner bookings it is not necessary to wear a jacket and tie
- Venue access is subject to availability at the time of your tour and can change up until tour departure time.

This tour of the Opera House went into more detail than I expected. If you are interested in architecture or how this building came to be this is the tour for you. Getting the chance to learn about the materials used, the decisions made in creation of the site and building and how the individual venues are utilized was awe inspiring. Dinner onsite afterward was yummy. I wish I would have attended the concert that evening to get the full experience.
Our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable, we were the only people on the tour so had a very personal experience.
The tour of the Opera House was, of course, amazing…so amazing in fact that I highly recommend you do a tour that is longer than 1 hour.
As for the dinner at Midden, the view of the Bridge lights for Vivid Sydney was amazing. However, the menu choices were extremely limited. In addition, the outdoor overhead heaters were cranked up even though it was a very mild night. I asked to turn down the one over us, but they didn’t. I felt like I was literally being baked by the heat. It was dreadful.
This was a great experience. We had a small group, which made it even better. Our tour guide was knowledgeable, and we got to explore a lot of the opera house and learn about its construction and history. The dinner was fantastic, with a great view. I would recommend this tour.

Jeannette led our group around and inside the Opera House’s prestigious structure. The sheer scale of this place’s construction and layout along with Jeannette’s commentary left a lasting impression. The food was okay, but the view of the Harbor Bridge from the restaurant at sunset really brought the tour to a satisfying conclusion.

What an awesome experience! Jeannette was so knowledgeable and friendly! What a spirit of hospitality! The meal was delicious and unique! The kangaroo tenderloin was the best steak we have had while traveling!
Beautiful from the inside as well as outside. Covered the history of the opera house from the beginning. Food was also very good.
Opera House is a magnificent structure, well worthy of being a World Heritage Site! Our tour guide was fun and knowledgeable, but about 15 minutes late. Only saw the main opera/ballet theater and the lobby of the concert hall. Dinner at Bennelong was fair; wife did not like her steak, I had a pork dish that was great of. Drinks were well prepared, though the local port left a little to be desired. Decent value.

If you are impressed by the Opera House on the outside, wait until you see the inside! This is an absolute engineering marvel. Michael was an excellent guide and gave us all the history and even technical knowledge about how the Opera House came to be, including the fact that they were still working on it as little as 3 years ago! The dinner at the end was lovely. We chose the Midden, the less expensive of the two options, but worth more than what we paid. The head chef is of aboriginal origin and his menu is inspired by his culture. Overall a very memorable experience!
Fantastic one hour tour of the OperaHouse! Our guide Peter was incredibly knowledgeable about the history, design and construction of this iconic building including acoustics, and provided detailed information about the performances. What a treat to have such an enthusiastic and accomplished guide. The included meal at the Midden restaurant featuring Indigenous inspired cuisine was amazing. This experience was the highlight of our trip!
This tour was excellent. We had a small group of only four people and a very knowledgeable tour guide. The food at the Midden restaurant was delicious. My husband wasn’t looking forward to this, but he admitted that he enjoyed it. Highly recommended.
It was just 9 of us. It was amazing to go inside the theaters and watch actual see and hear actual ongoing rehearsals.

Be prepared to be in awe! The structure of the Sydney Opera House and the the people who greet you and show you the beauty of the place are amazing! There are fabulous concert halls and magnificent steps — and lots of them!

The tour was fantastic along with the tour guide. We got to see many theatres and had a great description of what type of production’s that take place there. Also of the construction of the opera House .

I thought this was a wonderful overview of the Opera House. Our guide was knowledgeable and took us into as many venues as he could. Explained how the structure is built. Also told some very funny anecdotes. The restaurant was amazing. I was very surprised at the choices and the quality of the food.. I would highly highly recommend this tour.
