Sean went above and beyond making this a memory of a lifetime. He was the best tour operator we have ever had. We have traveled all around the world and Sean is “The Man”. Everyone in our small group felt the same too. He was knowledgeable, experienced, professional and personal. I highly recommend this tour.

Sean:
* sent personalized messages & updates before meeting,
* shared useful/detailed information about the Park and animals throughout the day,
* respected everyone's privacy by not insisting on group messages/group photo [Sean provided each of us with photos & videos of ourselves with the animals + allowed use of his hotspot to download them on our devices],
* brought/prepared an amazing variety of food along with wine to suit individual preferences (Sean checked with us beforehand), and
* ensured everyone felt seen/included by prompting individual and group conversations [there were 6 of us and he mentioned capping numbers at 9/10]

This was an absolutely perfect activity! The small group size was nice and made us feel extra special. We learned so much about the animals and they also provided fantastic pictures of our adventure including our time with Albert the koala and kangaroos. An added bonus was incredible food and wine. I highly recommend this tour!

Absolutely recommend! Our family with kids ages 7, 10, 13 all loved this. Sean was an amazing host and the lunch was gourmet. We got to pet koalas and kangaroos, which may be the highlight of our time in Australia. Wonderful experience!!
Michele_D, Mar 2026
Sean is an incredible host to have by your side, full Aussie experience with him! Friendly, personable! This is the best way to meet the Koalas and kangaroos!!

Hanging out with the Koalas and kangaroos was amazing. Sean did a great job of getting us behind the scenes. Lunch was amazing.
DITRAVEL, Feb 2026
It was a MOST EXCELLENT excursion from start to finish!! Sean, our guide, is extremely knowledgeable & obviously passionate about Australia's wildlife preservation . He gave us an in depth look at the past, present & future of not only the wildlife within the preserve, but also the goals of Australia as a whole, towards its conservation & preservation of the ecosystem. We interacted with koalas & kangaroos, observed Kimoto Dragons, Dingos ,bats, snakes & spiders then were treated to an over the top luncheon that included choices of 6-7 wine varieties, cheeses, followed by grilled chicken, shrimp, salmon, burgers, and veggies - ALL PREPARED BY SEAN! And for dessert, we all tried our hand wth boomerangs!!

We had a fantastic day with Sean. Started out with a nice coffee break with history of how the tour came about and information about what the reptile park is all about. Everything was very organized- never felt rushed. We stared with a private meeting with Albert the Koala and then toured the park learning the history of all the animals. We pet an emu. Fed kangaroos and saw a crocodile feeding. Then we had an amazing wine and cheese board followed by an Aussie bbq lunch. We learnt how to throw boomerangs before heading back to Sydney.
Highly recommend this tour!

We give this 5stars plus. Up close and personal with kangaroo and Koalas. You touch and weed. Plus see Australia replies. The lunch afterwards is 5star. Wine, cheese, chicken, shrimp, salmon, hamburgers all cooked to perfection. Highly recommended. The tour host is low key and very informative.

If we could give this trip
6 stars we would . From the minute we booked this tour from the U.K. Sean kept in touch with us , checking any special food requirements we had etc .
Sean has all the knowledge , so friendly but professional , always making sure everyone on the small party of us were looked after . Cooked up a delicious BBQ feast and it really was a feast .
We met kangaroos , fed them . Met the koalas , photos are almost surreal . Finally the boomerang throwing so much fun . We absolutely cannot recommend this trip highly enough . Any other now would take some beating
You have made my daughter so happy to finally meet her koalas and kangaroos . Way above her expectations of actually being able to touch them up close and personal .
Thank you so so much
If we ever come back to Sydney this would definately be our first go to

Sean was an incredible host! He knew so much about everything we did, the vibe was super chill, and the whole day was so much fun. The lunch/wine and cheese was such a nice, relaxing experience and we really enjoyed the casual chat with our fellow tour group. This was hands down the best tour we took on our three week trip to Australia.
Mario_G, Jan 2026
Sean was awesome. Very personable. The experience with the koalas and kangaroos was beyond our expectations. Our granddaughters were determined to catch the boomerang, sadly missed, but the whole group had the best day
JaBaris_S, Jan 2026
Sean delivered an outstanding experience from start to finish. This was thoughtful, personal, and perfectly paced—never rushed, never scripted. You can tell immediately that he genuinely cares about what he does and about the people he hosts.
What stood out most was how intentional everything felt. From the insights he shared to the way he engaged with us throughout the day, it felt less like a tour and more like spending time with someone who truly loves their city and wants you to experience it properly.
Choosing a small local business over a large tour company made all the difference. If you’re looking for an authentic, high-quality experience led by someone who is knowledgeable, warm, and deeply invested in creating a 5-star day, Sean is it. I’d recommend this experience without hesitation.

I have traveled the world, this was the best tour guide ever!!! Thank you for a lifetime memory!! Highly recommend!

From the moment Sean contacted us ahead of time to confirm our booking and wine/drink preferences, as well as detailed meet-up instructions, we knew this tour would be something special. Sean did not disappoint.
After meeting up for a quick morning coffee/tea in a quaint hotel, our small group of 5 tourists set off with Sean to the Australian Reptile Park. Along the way, Sean gave us the history of the park and its founder’s focus on animal conservation.
Upon arrival to the park, Sean got us checked in, handed out our Kangaroo food, and took us for our koala encounter. Sean took loads of pictures, which he shared with us all, before we moved on to feed the free-roaming kangaroos. From there, we visited a few more native animal enclosures, and finally made our way to see the baby koalas, one of the many highlights of the day.
The BBQ lunch was freshly prepared in the picnic area, with Chef Sean grilling up a feast. We sipped our wine and enjoyed getting to know the others in our small group.
To end the day, we drove to an open area where we all took a turn at boomerang throwing.
This was by far the best tour we have ever experienced. Sean’s enthusiasm for the animals was as if he was experiencing everything for the first time. His passion for conservation mixed with his gift of hospitality, makes this a tour not to be missed.

My family really enjoyed this tour. I was hesitant to book due to the price for a family of four, but realized that with all of the items included, it's a great deal! We decided to skip Taronga Zoo as we had limited time and this tour included both a koala encounter and kangaroo encounter with lunch and transportation. We really enjoyed meeting Albert the koala!! Lunch was a fantastic BBQ with so much food -- wine, cheese, burgers, chicken, shrimp, etc! The boomerang lesson was really fun even if none of us actually had a boomerang return :) I'm not usually a fan of tours so only look for small tours. This had just three families so it was enjoyable as it was not a large group and we had fun meeting the others. Sean and his girlfriend Celine were great hosts and alot of fun to meet and chat with. I also appreciated that Sean took pictures of the family and airdropped them right away to us. It's nice to have some full family photos of our fun experiences.
Donna_H, Dec 2025
I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Sydney. Sean was outstanding, starting well before our family even arrived in Australia. He reached out in advance to learn our drink preferences and any dietary restrictions, which made us feel truly looked after. From the moment we met at the meeting point, the atmosphere felt like getting together with a group of new friends rather than joining a tour. The interaction with the animals was wonderful. As someone who is afraid of all animals, Sean encouragement and gentle reassurance gave me the confidence to touch a koala-something I never imagined I would do. The Aussie BBQ that Sean created was excellent, but it was the warm, communal atmosphere that truly made this experience stand out.
Jeffrey_H, Dec 2025
We had an amazing time with Sean as our host! We got to pet Koalas, Kangaroos, and other animals. We caught the best moments since it was a cooler day. Sean provided and cooked an AYCE lunch which included wine, cheese, and all of the meats you could ever want to eat. Sean was also very knowledgeable, explaining the different animals in the park and giving us lessons on how to throw boomerangs. I would highly recommend this experience.
Susan_B, Dec 2025
This was an outstanding excursion led by an amazing host Sean! We got up close with a koala and kangaroos and saw so many of Australia’s animals all in an ethical and conservational manner. Sean served us a beautiful cheese board and a selection of wines whilst he cooked a delicious all you can eat lunch for us. We even tried throwing boomerangs after lunch. All in all an amazing, fun and educational day! I can’t recommend this tour highly enough- you will love it!!
Dominik_B, Dec 2025
The trip was a lot of fun and perfectly organized by Sean. We were a small group, which made the experience much more personal, and he shared a lot of valuable information along the way. Sean also took great photos of us and the animals, which was a big plus. Everything ran smoothly from start to finish. I can highly recommend Vivator and would book another tour with Sean anytime.
Brad_M, Dec 2025
This was an awesome booking. Sean was a fantastic tour guide with the team from the park. He went above and beyond our expectations. The charcuterie board, barbecue paired with wine was exceptional. Burgers chicken and seafood with pictures memories downloading to all our phones after our initial tour was a bonus. Definitely would recommend this tour. Thanks Sean!!!

The Australian Reptile Park has been on the top of my bucket list for my first visit to Australia, but it’s almost impossible to get there from Sydney without a car. So glad I found out about this tour - not only was it a perfect way to visit the park, but also the whole day was just so special. We had a lovely small group and the whole experience felt very friendly and intimate, relaxed and not rushed. Sean has planned the whole day perfectly, we got to meet a koala, feed kangaroos and see all the other animals and attend fun and informative talks presented by the park keepers. I really appreciated all the conservation efforts done by the park, as well as their anti-venom program that has saved thousands of lives.
The bbq lunch with wine was definitely a highlight, Sean has prepared an amazing selection of food, and made sure that everyone’s dietary restrictions and preferences were catered to. The boomerang throwing was fun and educational.
Overall an amazing day! I definitely recommend this to any animal lover. Huge thanks to Sean for making my first day in Australia unforgettable.

This excursion was a top highlight of our first trip to Singapore, Bali and Australia! Sean was top notch guide/host/chef who provided meaningful information about Australian wildlife, culture, politics, food etc., etc. His relationship with the reptile park provided us with one on one time with Koalas, kangaroos and he prepared us as good a lunch (with wine😀) as I had the entire week in Sydney. He is extremely personable, knowledgeable and very attentive to making our experience the best it could be. If you are looking for a half day excursion that gives you an authentic Australian wildlife experience with a guide who is a true professional, this tour is it. Worth every penny and I would highly recommend!
Sharon_G, Oct 2025
We had an absolutely amazing day with Sean, our guide today - a truly nice guy who is very knowledgeable & is passionate about the animals we saw & the charity it supports ❤️
You should not hesitate to book into this tour it was a fantastic day petting & feeding Koalas & Kangaroos & eating wonderful food also prepared by Sean - a definite must if you’re in Sydney 😀
Jill_V, Oct 2025
Sean went above and beyond what I had hoped for with this tour. He was so genuine & kind - you can tell he puts his heart into every tour. He gave us a lot of information about the animals and allowed us to spend so much time with the Kangaroos & Koalas. The pictures and videos he took throughout the day are amazing! Lunch was so delicious- a real treat. After lunch we had a session to learn how to throw a boomerang- let’s just say everyone else on the tour were better athletes than me. LOL. If you are interested in this tour- do yourself a favor and book it today. It has been a highlight of my trip to Sydney!!!

This was by far one of the coolest experiences I’ve ever been on (and after 97 countries I’ve taken a LOT of tours).
Sean is super friendly and has a lot of positive energy. It was amazing to meet the rest of the group ahead of time and grab some coffee to get to know them. It was a comfortable ride in his van to the park and so amazing to see all the animals at the sanctuary thriving.
And the food…..I would have just come for the food! ❤️
I highly recommend this tour for so many reasons!!!!
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Kelsey! Your zest for life was so contagious. Everyone had such a blast chatting with you and feeding off your excellent energy. Raw optimism and brilliant photos as well. Thank you for uploading your incredible shots of the different animals. Including Hugo the Galapagos Tortoise and the Dingo Pup. That is a HUGE compliment that I'm in your top experiences ever, after 97 countries (very jealous of your travelling, by the way). I'm just humbled and amazed by how nice you (and our group) was, last week. What a day. This is the magic I live for!

This has been my favourite experience in Sydney whilst been here. After a week of horrible rain, the sun came out and shined all day.
Met Sean at a hotel in the morning, he was so chill, I enjoyed our chat before we set off, found out about what to expect throughout the day and learnt a little about him.
We went to the Australian Reptile Park and the experience began there, I was able to feed the Kangaroos, which I was very excited about and Sean took loads of photos for me and sent them over when he could throughout the day.
Then I got to meet the Koalas, and was able to stroke them, and have photos with them, was lucky was able to see them awake and moving around, it was amazing to see.
Then had an interaction with some colourful birds they landed on my arm as I was feeding them a bit of a french fry. Had some lovely photos with those.
After this Sean cooked a lovely BBQ and whilst I waited, had some cheese from the cheese board he had provided, there was a lot of variety, and as I didn't like wine Sean knew I liked Cider as he had kindly asked before the tour, and gotten me some apple cider that tasted lovely, really appreciated that.
After the BBQ had more time to interact with the kangaroos which was fun.
I had such a great time and loved that it was a small group, it was such a personalised experience.
After this part of the day Sean taught me how to throw a boomerang, I really enjoyed this was so determined to get it to return to me, I nearly managed to do it. Loved this so much I have now bought my own boomerang to practice some more.
On the way back Sean took me to Manly had a little walk along the beach there and high street, and got the boat back to Circular Quay from there, I had such an amazing time, it brightened up my week for sure.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Tara! You are too kind. Thank you for these lovely words. You really did ALMOST catch a boomerang. I'm so glad you enjoyed the BBQ, the drinks, the cheese platter and meeting the Koala and Kangaroos. It was such a pleasure to meet you! Enjoy the (several hundred) photos from the day! Please reach out if you're ever in Sydney again <3
Tina_C, Jun 2025
This tour is a solid 10/10. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sydney. I initially expected a basic animal encounter, but what I experienced was truly unforgettable and multifaceted. Sean is far from your average tour guide. He’s a gourmet chef, a passionate historian, a skilled photographer, and even a sommelier. His expertise and enthusiasm elevated every part of the day.
From start to finish, Sean communicated clearly and made sure every detail was covered. As a solo traveler, I felt completely at ease and had a phenomenal time. The family-style barbecue was delicious, thoughtfully prepared, and created a warm space for guests to connect. And of course, the cuddly koalas and kangaroos made the experience magical.
This tour far surpassed my visits to Sydney Zoo, Featherdale, and even Taronga. It’s a more ethical, intimate, and meaningful way to interact with animals, all while supporting a great cause. Thank you, Sean!
Response from Host, Jul 2025
Thank you Tina! You're very much one of the nicest people I have ever met. These words of praise are just too kind. So happy that solo travellers, like yourself, can join these groups and have an amazing day. I appreciate you saying that this Experience was better than some of the other 'animal experiences' available in Sydney. Please reach out any time in future! You were delightful to meet and spend half the day with. Truly. I take pride in running this Experience, so having any kind of reciprocation is greatly heart felt.
Celine_K, Jun 2025
Just book it! Worth every dollar!
You'll meet up in a relaxing café in Sydney, meet your host, meet some other travellers. Chat and have a coffee while understanding what the Experience is all about. These tours are small, intimate and educational, with a maximum group size of 10, which I thought was really nice! This is not "big bus tourism", quite the opposite.
The tour is VERY focussed on the amazing work of the 'Aussie Ark' charity and learning about the incredibly passionate Tim Faulkner (he won Australian conservationist of the year) and his many endangered animal projects.
After our coffee, we jumped in a comfortable bus and exited Sydney for a small 1-hour roadtrip! So many great things happened all day but mainly: You'll get close up with a Koala! This was a life dream of mine for so long. Your Koala meeting is so intimate and special. You'll learn why they're endangered in the wild and going extinct. Getting up next to the Koala was done very ethically, fully supervised, and is part of Aussie Ark's efforts to spread awareness and create an insurance population. Just from booking this experience, $2 every day is being donated to the charity. That's something which Australian Wine & Cheese choose to do. Aussie Ark specialize in breeding endangered animals and it's great to see them collaborate.
ANYWAY! This experience is SO MUCH BETTER than a standard zoo. There are Kangaroos roaming around as well. Plus you'll get photos of your entire day from Sean, the Experience host (including lots of Koala and Kangaroo photos). You'll see Wallabies, Tasmanian Devils, Lorikeets, Dingoes, Flying Foxes, Cassowary, Frogs, Turtles, Tortoises, a Crocodile, Alligators, Snakes (optional), Spiders (optional).
You'll learn so much about Australia and have a HUGE BBQ LUNCH. With a cheese-platter entrée and wine included. OMG there is so much included. Tea and coffee from the start, park entry fee, koala encounter, so much food, snacks, main meal. Sean BBQ's sausages, mushrooms, onion, shrimp, bacon, chicken. Four different kinds of cheese. He serves with avocado, spinach, tomato and about 50 different sauces. You can build your own BBQ Burger which I really enjoyed. He even caters for any of your dietary restrictions!
Plus you get your own Boomerang throwing lesson at the end! So much fun. I highly recommend this Experience to everyone. I was unsure on booking, then I checked the Australian Wine & Cheese social media, saw that they're number 1 on another booking platform and jumped right in. Despite them being new on Viator and Trip Advisor. You can't go wrong with them! Thank you Sean! Thank you Australian Wine And Cheese. Thank you Aussie Ark! Thank you Tim! A life memory of a day.
Response from Host, Jul 2025
Honestly wow. I didn't expect such a lovely review and I'm very grateful for your words. Also your photos look incredible! Thanks for highlighting that I'm new on Trip Advisor and Viator, but many years deep on other platforms. I'm personally very excited to finally be on here and open this Experience to travellers from around the world! Big BBQ's, boomerang lessons, Koalas and Kangaroos for all! Haha. (Yes I agree that this place is a lot better than a standard zoo. Much more of an ethical core, being an anti-venom centre, that has saved over 20,000 lives from snake bites in Australia. With optional reptile and spider areas. The fact that they also breed Koalas, Tasmanian Devils and other endangered animals, is a big plus. So cool that they have Kangaroos roaming freely around the property as well). You're welcome back any time!
