Derek and Kelly were super nice and very informative . They live there job and you can tell. They were in tune to any needs we had and didn’t rush us . We saw so many things . It was the best excursion we had on our trip!!

Our guides were fantastic, friendly, patient and knowledgeable and we saw an abundance of sea life. We also loved that we could walk into the water off the beach and go at our own pace - it made for such an excellent experience!

Your advertising worked!! Made a lack luster and confusing trip into something that might be enjoyable. Your equipment is bottom of the barrel and was probably bought at Walmart. Your crew with the exception of the guide in the water was rude. Your directions to get to the drop off area were incomplete. No one in the taxi area knew where to go. This was a waste of money.

The spot is beautiful!!! So close to the beach but so full of life! Super easy to navigate and low stress. We didn’t even break a sweat, just easy peasy snorkel around and back. Paul personally guided us around the beach and gave us information about the wild life and safety precautions. His guidance made the event easy, stress free and enjoyable.

I’ve been snorkeling in various parts of the world and this was THE COOLEST experience snorkeling I’ve ever had! Derek and Kelly were awesome! So patient with my friend who was new to snorkeling and so knowledgeable about marine life! I loved that it was so personal. It was just the 4 of us and not a huge group. I would give a solid 20 out of 5 stars!! Thank you so much for a wonderful experience!!!

We saw some turtles which was great. It was difficult to find and the equipment was pretty warm. Guide was very good. This is not a boat ride, you walk in from the shore. Definitely could do this excursion on your own if you have snorkel gear.

We understand that some guests are expecting a boat excursion. That’s why we try to be very clear in our listing that this is a shore-entry snorkeling experience. As our tour description states:
“From the soft sand, you’ll gently walk into the water—no boats, no deep water, no jumping in.”
and
“With easy beach access and shallow, sheltered waters, this tour is perfect for beginners and first-time snorkelers.”
We designed this experience to provide an easy, relaxed way to snorkel with sea turtles from one of St. Thomas’ most beautiful protected beaches. We appreciate your feedback and hope you enjoyed your time in the Virgin Islands!
Short cab ride from ship to the beach. Met up with the tour guide, received all the gear and went in right at the beach. Seen a number of turtles, sting rays, reef fish, eagle rays, and other marine life. The kids had a blast. Bathroom facilities right there on site with water rinse down. If you are looking for a laid back relaxed beach day, this is for you.

I went snorkeling with Derek at Brewer Bay, and it was an absolutely incredible experience. We swam in open water where I saw several sea turtles, beautiful coral reefs, and countless colorful fish. One of the highlights was being able to dive to the bottom of the bay and swim alongside the turtles in their natural habitat.
At one point, Derek had me stretch my arms out while continuing to kick, and he carefully guided me closer to a turtle. The turtle was so comfortable around us that it swam directly underneath me. It even came so close that its flippers touched my goggles!
Derek is knowledgeable, patient, and truly passionate about what he does. He made the entire experience feel safe, comfortable, and unforgettable. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an amazing snorkeling adventure, and I will definitely be booking another trip with him the next time I visit the island.

The guide was really experienced. He was really great with knowledge of where the difference fish, turtles and stingray where. He was interactive with letting you see and hold different seats life. My family really enjoyed the experience. The beach is also absolutely beautiful.

We had a great time and saw at least 5 turtles. We also saw an octopus . Dory. Sea urchins. Star fish. Sting ray and other great sea creatures

A wonderful experience, but the website instructs you to meet at a food truck that does not exist. This created meeting confusion, so that needs to be fixed. We really enjoyed the snorkeling- saw plenty of turtles in addition to rays, many types of fish and a couple starfish. Our guide was very nice and informative.

Take the tour , they give you insight and know what they are looking for , if I went out on my own , I would have missed 75 percent of what we saw

Our snorkeling guide was kind, patient, and engaged! He would grab our attention when sea life was visible and being for us to see. He also provide grub to eat to get saltwater taste of our mouths! I highly recommend this experience!

Paul was an amazing guide, helping us find different sea creatures and telling us interesting facts. He had equipment that fit everyone. He was incredibly good with the kids. My 5 and 9 year old absolutely loved him and felt very safe and excited. We walked in right off the beach (very easy for the kids). We saw plenty of turtles and fish. We got to meet a starfish up close and he helped us find a hiding octopus.

This excursion is worth the money! The guide was phenomenal picked up sea urchins, live star fish and conch let us all hold and explained about them. The guides made sure everyone was safe in the water. My grandson and I had the best time!

We’re sorry to hear the experience wasn’t what you expected. This tour is designed as a shore-based snorkel in a calm, protected bay known for sea turtles, rather than a boat excursion. We focus on easy beach entry, smaller groups, and a more personal, guided wildlife experience — which is a big part of why many guests choose this tour. We also describe in the first line of the description that it is not a boat trip, to reinforce that it is easy for beginners and it is in shallow waters - as there is no jumping off a boat into deep waters where it might then be harder to see a turtle. Our turtles are in very shallow waters!
That said, your comment is very helpful, and we’ll continue working to make the tour description as clear as possible so expectations match the experience.

This was my first time booking through Viator and I was honestly a little hesitant, but this ended up being one of the best parts of our trip.
The biggest difference is that this is an experience-focused tour, not a volume/throughput excursion. We were about 20 minutes away from the cruise port to a quieter area (Brewer’s Bay), and it made a huge difference in what we were able to see.
Our guide was fantastic — She didn’t just drop us in the water and hope for the best. She actively found wildlife for us, dove down to point things out, and gave clear instructions (especially to the kids) on how to respectfully interact with the animals.
We saw multiple sea turtles (including one with a remora), a manta ray, a sea urchin, fish, and a queen conch. It felt like a curated experience, not random luck.
They also provided proper gear (life jackets, etc.), which made it accessible and comfortable.
If you’re deciding between a large cruise excursion vs. something like this, I would 100% recommend going with a smaller, local operator. The difference in quality and care is very noticeable.
Would absolutely book again.

Save yourself the money… It’s a free public beach, just bring your own snorkeling equipment ($20 on Amazon) and get in the water … there’s no secret passage to the sea turtles, no secluded area for paying customers I paid $237.00 for my family of 3 swam amongst people who paid $0 and seen the same as them (one turtle) and (one sting ray). Tho I must admit the water was clear and refreshing.

My guide was absolutely amazing and so nice! We saw multiple stingrays (big), cow fish , MULTIPLE big sea turtles , sea urchins, beautiful orange starfish , a huge conch shells !!you don’t have to worry about extensive swimming you were a floating vest to help you relax and just enjoy the view down. You don’t have to worry about the stingrays they stay low to the ocean floor grazing it! The sea turtles were adorable and i was surprised how many we saw ! It was majestic beautiful and everything i hoped for and more! Thank you !!
