Very poor communication, no real clear instructions from the vendor. I wandered around the port aimlessly looking for the pick up spot. Finally, a woman from the port directed me where to go, very late and the tour company had already left. This seemed like a scam to me. Try someone more reputable.

The wave were extremely rough, making the beach unusable. I made a mistake in my reservation and they fixed it for me no problem. Lots of planes coming and going make it very unique. Overall very fun and informational. We were able to walk the town and have a good time as well.

It took about 40 minutes from the cruise port due to traffic. We were given 4 hours at the beach or e could decide as a group to leave early if we wanted to. Maho beach was a blast and we saw several dozen planes land right over our heads. The little bar at the entrance to the beach had really good food and a fun vibe. Was our favorite excursion on our cruise.

Worst excursion ever! The beach was so crowded that there was barely any place to even sit in the sand. The waves were not family friendly. We had small children and could not let them into the water. There were just too many people in one place. The worst part was that our shuttle driver never showed up to return us to the ship. We waited as long as we could, but fearing we wouldn't make it back to our ship in time, we found a taxi that had to speed to return us on time. We almost didn't make it.
Don't bother with this beach! While watching the planes fly overhead was entertaining, the surroundings were miserable! There are much nicer beaches closer to the port you can access on your own via taxi. We never did find out what happened to our shuttle driver PLUS we had to pay for the taxi ride back on our own. Very disappointing!!

Great experience from start to finish. This tour was phenomenal! Our driver/tour guide was Denzel. Denzel is highly knowledgeable about the area and provided us with lots of information without it being overwhelming. Denzel, highly exceeded all of our expectations. Denzel is just very friendly and has a great personality. He truly has a love and passion for what he’s doing.

Brilliant experience watching the planes landing at Maho. Our driver Captain Cay was the best. So informative and punctual. Anyone on a cruise needn't worry about getting back to the ship on time as these guys know their stuff. An amazing day and highly recommend it

If you're on a cruise ship make sure the times you book coincide with the local time or you'll miss the excursion. I missed mine by 30 mins bc our ship docked at 9a but it was 10a local time. Reached out about refund, but didn't get a straight answer.

First of all, I have used Viator in the past and had great success.
However this experience was horrible. When booking I answered all the questions correctly - specifically- questions regarding our arrival and departure. We were on a cruise. Turns out our arrival time was the departure time so Amigo tours left without even a call/text.
The folks at the EDC (?) parking were NOT helpful. In fact, they were rude and kept passing us from person to person. At times arguing with each other. Finally a very nice security guard offered to call Amigo Tours for me. I spoke with them and they offered nothing solution.
Ultimately, we grabbed a cab and got there. Now begins the process of a refund from Viator.
Maho beach was great. DO NOT use Amigo Tours. You have been warned.

Having a roundtrip ride scheduled on a busy day is the way to go! Rafael was the best tour guide and gave us all fabulous tour telling all the hot spots! Maho is of course amazing and a must see! The rum punch on the way back is delicious!

The driver was very knowledgeable and we loved hearing all about the island, government and culture. The meet up point was not communicated and was hard to find, but I asked several people at the port and was finally able to find it. The beach was memorable because of the planes, but not the best beach for hanging out. Somewhat small and cramped.

Horrible experience! And for those of you that are looking to book this tour. You can get a shuttle from the peer vendors for almost half the price. This was way overpriced after finding that out. We arrived at the port 20 minutes before the scheduled time for the shuttle to leave. The directions in the email were not precise and there were several areas where shuttles picked up. We asked 4 different workers and got different directions each time. No one seems to ever heard of this amigos tours. We missed the shuttle and then when I contacted Viator they were not helpful on trying to get us even a partial refund. Very bad experience and out the total charge.

They were great. I booked last minute, they hadn’t gotten my name yet but they made it good and ordered a whole van just for me. Got a private tour to my beach. Driver was fantastic played tour guide all way there and home pointing out attractions.

We found the minibus very easily as we followed previous reviewers advice and followed signs saying EDC parking lot, about 10 minutes walk from cruise ship.
Bus was there and it was just us, we got taken straight to Maho Beach which was beautiful, the planes coming in were a phenomenal sight and I thoroughly enjoyed my day, we were told where to meet the driver at 2.30pm which we did and he gave us some rum punch on the way back and told us about the island.
Very professional and all went very smooth.
Great day out for plane lovers.

We used Amber tours and the driver was exceptional. The unexpected walkthrough of the history of St Maarten was greatly appreciated, as was the rum punch. They were also punctual both ways which was really professional and unlike some other tours we have been on. I would highly recommend them.
Maho beach is ridiculous, so packed, but so worth it, the plane spotting is truly spectacular. The beach is so crowded and over priced, but we expected that and we had a great 4hra there as a family. Be warned the sea is very very rough, it knocked me flat out, so be careful.

Great tour and as expected. We left the meeting area exactly at 10am and arrived at the beach about 11:00. We had until 2:45 to experience the beach. We got back about 3:45 (the drive back is a bit shorter, but you stop for pictures at tourist spot).
The description needs to do a better job explaining where to meet.
Without other comments, you wouldn’t know where to go.
Instructions:
- Leave the ship
- Look for signs or ask how to get to the EDC parking area.
- Once you get to the gate, ask for Amigo tours and look for the purple shirts.

"King Dennis" was a great guide and got us to our destination safely. The biggest complaint I have is the amount of traffic. Advice: If there are more than 3 ships in port, consider skipping this tour, as it took us over an hour to get back to the port (even though the initial communication with the tour company stated it would only be 15-20 min to our destination.

It's exactly as described, driver very friendly and knowledgeable of the island. Just don't follow the directions given by the app to the meeting point! Are completely wrong! It's in the EDC parking lot north of the terminal, guys with purple shirts

It wasn’t easy to find where to meet and it was run by Amigo tours (Viator are an agent) the details of the trip were changed and it was much longer (caught a cab back after 4 hours) but driver Raphael was excellent

We walked more than 30 minutes with the kids to the meeting point, there was nobody there, and the people that was there said, they always see people there looking for some place that’s not exist.
