Awesome excursion! It felt like we saw the whole island. Taz was amazing! He made sure everyone enjoyed theirselves and got perfect pictures.

If you enjoy adventure, sightseeing, and have a need for speed, this tour is for you. When the team at Splash in the Sun says it’s a tour on both sides of the island, they really mean it. From riding to several beaches for the beautiful views, to conquering a mini trek to see David’s Hole or the tallest point on the island, or patronizing local businesses like 978 Sanctorum, Sky’s the Limit Lolo B&R, and Busco’s, you’re going to cover a lot of ground—literally!
Now let’s get into the team. Ms. Sherry is the owner, and she reached out to me a few days before my scheduled tour date and again the day before. On the day of the tour, my driver and I weren’t able to locate the establishment, but we got her on the phone and she came out front to ensure there were no other issues. She was personable and kind.
Now, the man of the hour (actually, at least five hours): Taz. I give him five stars. He provided clear instructions on the use of the ATV and safety procedures, shared fun facts and detailed history, and even customized the tour a bit so that I could do something I really wanted to do while supporting another local business.
I recommend that everybody book with them—you won’t be disappointed.

Our experience was amazing! Taz was our tour guide and he showed us all the amazing places. If you are uncomfortable driving, definitely have them drive you around as things can get a little busy. Taz drove our buggy and we had a blast! Took us to places that a regular vehicle would not be able to get to. Honestly the best experience. We drove around the whole island! We were lucky and got to see wild goats, sheep, cows, iguanas, and monkeys! If I ever come back here, I would do this again. Highly recommend.

Great experience and wonderful customer service! We were offered pickup and drop off from and to our hotel which was very appreciative; sherry was an amazing and knowledgeable guide where we saw numerous places through both sides of the island. Each location was enjoyable with beautiful weather! Driving the atv was smooth with detailed and safe instructions; would do this activity again :)

This is a whole island tour with many stops to beautiful beaches and breathtaking views. We stopped at the best lolo for lunch. Z was a fantastic guide.

Taz and Z both were absolutely amazing! We truly got a full experience on the Dutch and French side, we saw every inch of the island! They took us to a fabulous place for lunch as well and we had some of the best tropical cocktails I’ve had in a long time! The kids really enjoyed it and it probably was one of our highlights of the entire week trip! Thank you so much, highly recommend🙌🏼🙌🏼

Taz gave us an excellent tour of all the spots we wanted to see and more. He’s very knowledgeable about the entire island and knows his way around very well. He was able to take us to areas that no other tour operators go to for the best views of the island. He recommended an excellent place for lunch on the beach that was highly rated.
This was the best excursion of our entire cruise!

Our ship was over an hour late arriving in port and we had no internet to communicate until we arrived. We hustled to the meeting point and there sat Taz still waiting for us in the rain. He told us that the others in the tour had already left but he would be more than happy to drive us on our tour and hit all the highlights.
What a tour! We did the complete island tour and didn’t miss a thing. He definitely went out of his way to see it all and tell us all about the island. We could not have been happier with the tour! If you get a chance to book a tour request Taz, he will not disappoint. We would do this again in a heartbeat!

We took the 6 hour tour and even though we were super tired it was worth it
We were shown the Dutch and French side of the island, we got to go to several beaches including Maho beach (which my husband was dying to go to)
If you’re thinking about booking, don’t think twice!!!

So first off, I like to say that this wasn't a bad tour. Our guide was a fun guy, as well. We did get to see most of the island as well. But a few things could have been done to make this a much better tour. Especially for the price that we paid, $450 you expect a few things.
The good:
- Got to see most of the island.
- Our guide was a really nice guy.
- The vehicles, while quite old, were comfortable enough and seemed mostly reliable. But 99% of the tour was on paved roads, if we were going to stay on paved roads the entire time, we would've rented Jeeps. We were expecting at least some offroad areas, and really had none, just a few bumpy areas to beach parking.
The things that can be improved:
- This was supposed to be a "guided tour". We were in a convoy with one other family, whose boogie was driven by the tour guide. That's fine, we had no problem driving our boogie behind. But considering that literally 95% of the tour was just following him around the island, we got nothing in terms of "guided". All they had to do was buy a couple cheap walkie talkies, and he could explain to the entire convoy. There were times where we would slow or even stop, and we can see him pointing to something. But we had no idea what it was, what the significance was. Is it so hard to spend $60 and buy a couple walkie-talkies so everyone can hear?
- While it was great that we got to see most of the island, we really didn't get a feel for the island. "Hey, this is so and so beach." Then drive 20 minutes in traffic. "This is another beach." OK, cool. Drive another 25 minutes in traffic. "Oh look, this is yet another beach that looks just like the other two generic beaches." We're on a guided driving tour. We don't need to see every single beach. Show us some history, some cool places, cool neighborhoods.
- The restaurant we ended up going to for lunch was... questionable, at best. The food was ok, but it was a very dirty place. The one other bar we went to at one of the beaches, was scary just walking in to wash your hands. I'm sure in all of the island, there are at least a few halfway decent establishments where the bathrooms don't look like something out of a horror movie. We're paying for the food and drinks in addition, anyway. Can't we go to a nicer place?
Overall, the experience was... OK. I like the concept, but for $450, I didn't want to just sit behind an older and very loud boogie, on public roads, in traffic most of the time. At one point, we're literally sitting in crazy bumper to bumper traffic, in 95 degree heat with 90% humidity, no air conditioning, for 45 minutes just to go down a single street. And with no context, no history, no funny tidbits that only locals know.
I expected much better. I'll give 3 stars simply because our tour guide was nice, in the few minutes that we got to talk to him. But I would definitely not do a tour like this again.

Great full day tour to see the entire island! The pick up is on the main road outside of the port which was a little confusing to find but Sherry was quick to respond and guide us to the correct location.
The tour was a small group (2 families) and we saw many places away from the tourist path including an off road adventure to the highest peak and a beautiful hidden spot called David’s Hole for pictures.

Hands down one of the best excursions ever. We’re on a 9 Day cruise and we decided to book outside the ship. One of the best things I’ve ever done. The 6hr excursion tour of the island and 4 different local beach gems. Plus some amazing local food was well worth it. My wife and I have done tons of excursions and without a doubt I’d recommend this one of being Top 3. The ship offered a more expensive with much less time UTV-ATV excursion. Diana was super informative and communicated exactly where to meet for the tour to begin outside the terminal. Hands down avoid cruise liner tour and book directly with Splash In the Sun!! Our tour guide TAZ was amazing.

The view from the highest drivable peak was spectacular! It was fun seeing the island from the boogie buggy. Taz was personable and knowledgeable.
