Make your way to Simpson Bay and board the Sand Dollar with Captain Junior at the helm. Be sure to bring along a towel and swim suit, as well as sunscreen and a hat to protect you from the hot St Maarten sun while snorkeling. Sand Dollar is a custom built 28 foot power boat with a canopy for shade.
Trips start with the boat gliding into the lagoon. Find a space on the deck and relax, grab a cold soda, a beer or some French cheese on a crusty baguette while viewing the picturesque coastline as you sail out towards Creole Rock, about a mile offshore.
Creole Rock is an unusual rock formation with a reef extending out towards the shore, whose calm, shallow waters make for excellent snorkeling and diving. When Captain Junior moors the boat, slip on your provided snorkel, fins and mask and jump in. Feel free to ask the captain and crew any questions about the surrounding environment or get a few pointers on snorkeling.
View the surrounding rock formations as tropical reef fish dart in and out of their hiding places. Be on the lookout for barracuda, pufferfish and the rare frogfish.
Non-swimmers are always welcome to take the scenic boat ride with beautiful views of neighboring Anguilla.
After approximately 3.5 hours, Captain Junior will return you safely to shore at Simpson Bay.

Very friendly crew. The boat trip was gave an extensive view of the island. Drinks were unlimited and there was good bread and cheese as snacks. The snorkeling was satisfactory for this area.

Do not hesitate to book. Smaller group with a great vibe. Drinks didn’t stop and the bread and Gouda hit the market after the snorkel. Shawn and crew were great with our kids - fun had by all.

No life jackets on board. Stopped the boat too far from where we could snorkel. Would have liked to hear more about the area, as we were passing by.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’d like to clarify that life jackets are mandatory and available on all of our boats. For snorkeling, we provide waist floats, which are better suited for use in the water.
Our captains are certified and very experienced, and they always choose snorkeling locations based on the safest and best possible conditions each day.

Regarding your refund, it is currently being processed. Most refunds are completed within 3–5 business days; however, in some cases, it can take up to 7 business days. If you do not see the refund after that timeframe, please feel free to contact us.

Tour guides on the boat were friendly. It is a somewhat long ride from pick up point to the snorkel area with some choppy waves. Plentiful Caribbean fish at the snorkeling spot.

Despite a rainy, windy day, Sean and Maria were a ray of sun. We got to a beautiful place to snorkel and felt safe, supervised and well care for with rum punch and cheese and bread. We learned and saw some lovely fish at Creole rock. We could not have had a better trip, Thanks, Thanks, Thanks!!

We love our afternoon on the Sand Dollar boat. The snorkeling experience was awesome, we saw more than 20 species of fish and turtles! We had enough time to see everything and were not rushed. Shawn and Diana were amazing hosts and very attentive to our needs. Always asking if we wanted more drinks, taking our pictures and making sure we were comfortable. We also stopped at 2 swimming spots (Long Bay and Mullet Bay) for 20 mins each and the water was blue and so magnificent. We highly recommend you this tour.

My family and I had a wonderful time on this snorkeling trip. We saw lots of colorful fish. We got to see the island from the water. They stopped to watch several planes land/take off. It was really nice that this was a small group, only 10 of us, and drinks and a snack were included. Sean and Gio were great. They took very good care of us. The staff at the resort/marina were also super nice. I just wish it had been closer to the cruise port but taxis were plentiful.

Crew was fun! Saw lots of large schools of fish and a couple of sea turtles. Small group so not a crowded boat. We got to see quite a bit of the area for a half day outing and refreshments were good.

We had so much fun!! The speedboat was smooth and easy, usually I get nauseous and was totally fine the whole time. We got to snorkel for around 2 hours and went to 2 locations. The guys were great instructors and bartenders and it was all around great vibes.

Had a wonderful experience on the Sand Dollar. My group included my husband, eight-year-old daughter, and 11 year-old daughter. All of us are seasoned snorkelers, so we were excited to head out to Creole rock. Visibility was pretty good despite the partly cloudy skies. The captain and his mate were friendly and made sure we were well attended to with regards to drinks. We are not the lay around on a boat/beach kind of people, so this was the perfect excursion for us.

Fantastic boat ride over to the snorkeling destination. We had plenty of time to snorkel and saw lots of fish & a sea turtle. Roy & Sean were very friendly and made the journey a lot of fun, with music, snacks & drinks. We had a blast jumping off the boat and swimming at one of the stops on the way back. Super enjoyable day out!!

Great snorkeling trip with the best bread and cheese snacks. Our Captain and 1st mate wre fabulous. We had a short lived rain shower but we still had a great time. There were only 4 people on the tour and so it was a very personalized experience.

Snorkeling excursion was canceled without my knowledge. I did receive a missed call two days beforehand from a number I did not recognize, but no one left a voice message informing me of the cancellation or sent an email. We drove 30 minutes the day of the tour only to learn upon arrival that it had been cancelled.

Outstanding experience in every way. Our captain and guide Sean provided a cordial welcome and interesting narrative along the way with a beautiful overview of the coastline and harbors. The weather was a bit choppy when he reached our snorkel destination, so the water was less than clear in the snorkel experience, not ideal, but that was no fault of the tour operator or personnel. To the contrary, we were made to feel safe and supported throughout, and got a little bonus time and a stop along a sandy beach on the way back. The small size of the boat made for a perfect and cordial interaction with other passengers as well as the opportunity for a personalized experience.
