What To Expect
Make your way to Pelican Marina to board the 'Tango', a 63-foot (19-meter) sailing catamaran.
Climb on board and find a spot to sit down and relax. Get to know your friendly crew and fellow passengers as you sidle up to the open bar and munch on snacks. Feel the Caribbean breeze in your hair and the late-afternoon sun on your skin while the impressive boat sets sail up the coast of St Maarten. Watch the famous Caribbean sunset paint the sky a dozen colors. As the sun sinks toward the horizon, be sure to have your camera on hand for fantastic photo ops.
Sail back to Simpson Bay and, when the 'Tango' drops anchor in beautiful surroundings, dine on a buffet-style Creole dinner. Choose from baby back ribs, Creole chicken, salads, bread, beans, plantains and rice. After dinner, dig in to dessert and partake in some of the local rum. Dance the remainder of the evening away to Caribbean beats.
The 3-hour sunset cruise concludes when the boat docks at Pelican Marina.

Wow! What can I say? This was the best boat cruise I’ve ever been on. The crew were so friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious and the views from the boat simply incredible! It was totally worth every penny! I can’t wait to come back.

OMG, I sure wish we would have done this sooner. It was AWESOME. From the captain to the entire staff, everyone treated us so good. They feed us appetizers and then had an amazing meal. The drinks were amazing (both alcohol and non-alcohol), the weather was PERFECT! I would DEFINITELY recommend this. Also met some amazing people on this ship as well. Would 1000% recommend this.
PS: people I have met who were just coming to our resort (Sonesta Maho Beach), I definitely told them about the Tango Sunset Caribbean Cruise and they were excited to book it.

It’s was nice….be prepared to walk around barefoot on the boat though. So maybe bring some extra socks!

Directions were a little confusing but manageable. The food was amazing and the staff and captain were fantastic — real highlights of the trip.
Drink options were limited (rum punch and beer), which may be expected in the Caribbean, but as a tequila drinker I would have appreciated more variety.
The cruise itself was disappointing. We parked at one spot for almost two hours then headed straight back. As a frequent traveler, this felt more like dinner on a docked boat than an actual night cruise.
The biggest issue — we were required to remove our shoes and place them in a bin before boarding. In all my years of traveling and boat rides, I have never experienced this. Being expected to walk barefoot into a public bathroom is a serious hygiene concern and it completely changed the mood for me.
Some good moments, but that policy alone knocked this from a great experience to just an okay one. They need to reconsider that rule.

First, this is a must do island entertainment evening event!! Once you arrive to check in, find a place to sit or stand anywhere you like on docks....do NOT stand in line to get on boat(s)...mosy those folks are doing sunset cruise on other boat...LOL!! We did, was like 50 people back, and were actually #2-3... to get on Tango. You will be taking ahies off...boat floor is a liittle rough, so if you have tender feet...take ya some grippy socks. One on, dont try and head for tables on boy of boat...they just gonna make you go below toward stern for free drinks and safety brief...so just get a good seat below, plenty of them and enjiy your forst rum punch. The crew is SO GREAT, constantly checking on you and bringing drinks to you in your seat. Then the boat ilpulls out of the dock, then thise seats on bow and others on boats are open. Then they serve appetizers, yea, they bring them to you!! So RELAX!! Then you cruise around, watch sun set, anchor, eat dinner (they also have dinner TV trays they brring to you), and it was absolutely delish! Mahi-Mahi in cream sauce, chicken (i passed), awesome salad, potato salad, rice and beans, and johny cakes...plus desert...then drink sone nore and dance. Three (3) hours in total, excellent value and evening!!!

It was an ok evening, good crew - hospitable & friendly, music was very mixed, was expecting more of a Caribbean vibe … food tasty, very windy & everyone had to remove footwear which wasnt a problem but would have been nice to know

Highly Recommend this!!! This experience was the best service Ive ever received on a boat tour on any island. I mean it.
The staff was so friendly, making drinks, bringing around food, constantly asking what we need.
The food was fantastic. Chicken, beef tips, scalloped potatoes, salad, rice. The apps were great too.
The night was beautiful and we met some really nice people on it.

Tango Dinner cruise, did an amazing job. Staff-friendly, courteous, on top of things. We were never without refreshments. Dinner-very appetizing and plentiful. Views-magnificent. Cruise worth every penny although very affordable. I highly recommend this experience.

This is what you want from a dinner cruise. It was punctual and organized. The staff was exceptional. Dinner was delicious. Fresh salad, rice, chicken legs, creole flavored beef, and perfectly cooked broccoli. Drinks were plentiful. Bathrooms down below were very clean.
If I have any one suggestion, it would be to start 30 minutes earlier. Sunset was 545pm. The boat left at 530pm.

For a 3 hour sail, I was expecting to be further out into the ocean instead of sailing along the shore.
Very difficult to find. There were no signs to the marina, the dock, nor signs for the Tango itself. You cannot avoid asking people to find the meeting point.
Staff was attentive and friendly but lacking that personal touch. I felt a bit processed.
It appeared there was plenty of staff for 46 passengers. The boat didn't feel crowded.
Food was okay and there was plenty of it.
