Overview
Kayak and snorkel in St Maarten's Simpson Bay during a leisurely, 2.5-hour eco-adventure. This slow-paced excursion is a suitable option for beginner snorkelers and kayakers. Follow your adventure guide on 45 minutes of snorkeling and 40 minutes of kayaking, with plenty of breaks and instruction. Your tour departs from Kim Sha Beach, approximately 30 minutes drive from Philipsburg. Ask your driver to leave you close to the Cocky Turtle Beach Bar, where our orange kayaks are visible. Your guide will be waiting nearby.

Find your way to St Maarten's Kim Sha Beach to meet your guide and group. Get a short lesson on safety and paddling technique, then climb in to your 2-person, sit-on-top kayaks and paddle out into Simpson Bay. Watch the shoreline glide by and get an up-close view of the variety of marine vessels moored in Simpson Bay. With favorable weather conditions, you can follow your guide around Pelican Rocks and into the next bay. Move at a relaxed pace, with plenty of rest breaks to view the neighboring islands and birds at rest on the rocks.
Reach your destination, a beach in a protected cove, and get fitted for snorkeling equipment. Listen to a short orientation, then follow your guide out to the coral reef and nearby rocky caverns. During 45 minutes of snorkeling, see tang, needle nose, trumpet fish, angel fish and parrot fish flitting about, as well as other marine creatures your guide points out.
Paddle back to Kim Sha Beach in your kayak, then go ashore and have a drink at the Greenhouse Restaurant. Sit down with your group and discuss the marine life you saw and its importance to St Maarten's ecosystem.

It was an awesome experience. We kayaker to another beach where Casey took us out snorkeling to a reef to see the various kinds of fish. Casey was very patient with us during the snorkeling portion. He made me feel very comfortable. After snorkeling, we kayaked to the Lagoon and happened to be there to see the bridge open to allow a large yatch to enter. Afterwards, they were very helpful by calling a taxi for us when our taxi did not show up at the specified time. I would highly recommend this tour and the company.

Nice, quick excursion near Simpson Bay resort. Highly recommended. Our guide “Sponge Bob” was amazing and very knowledgeable of the reef. He had us snorkel with sea turtles and spotted eagle rays which was amazing. Free rum punch at the end of the trip through this company was a plus (and much needed)! Sponge Bob hung out with us after on the beach and answered my kids questions. My wife and I were grateful for that.
This was a great snorkel experience in deeper waters. Kayaked in the ocean to a local beach and swam out to snorkel. Our guide Casey was awesome! Very knowledgeable of the area and brought us to where the fish and reefs were. Very pleasant to be on the excursion with.

My husband and I traveled with our teenage sons. This was a fantastic experience for us. Our tour guide, Casey, was knowledgeable, accommodating, and fun. He made sure we saw unique, interesting marine life, and he got us up close and personal. It was slightly strenuous, but it was perfect for us. We agree it was well worth the cost.

My son and I had a wonderful adventure with KC as our guide. It was my son's first-time snorkeling. We saw stingrays, a turtle and lots of colorful fish. The kayaking was challenging and fun. And the water was so warm!

Our guide was very kind and patient. He knew just what to tell us to make our adventure smooth. When we were in the water, he would often point out different fish and then tell us about them above water. For this reason, we go up close with a sting ray, White Sea urchin, and baby barracuda, as well as a variety of smaller fish. We would definitely choose this adventure again!

KC our guide was patient, informative, fun. My friend and I had limited to no kayak experience. He taught us how to enter the kayak and exit and how to paddle. He was very patient with us newbies! It was a fun experience! We saw awesome fish and a turtle too!

We loved our kayak tour. Unfortunately the weather did not permit us to do any snorkeling, but we were still able to have a fantastic kayak tour. Our guide, Pablo, was very knowledgeable and shared history, the ecosystem, and other facts of the island. He was super nice! We highly recommend this tour and will do again on our next trip to the island.

Tour was really great!!! Frank, was super friendly and always on the lookout for underwater wildlife for us to check out. It was a great combination of kayaking and snorkeling for an excellent value!!! Went with my 15 yr old son and 13 year old nephew who both really enjoyed it. Highly recommended!!
