We are located on Beach Drive opposite the East Gate of the Darren Sammy Cricket Stadium in Beausejour. Take the first right and head on up the forest road which is a short hill. It's just 90 meters to the top. There is parking space available both at the top and bottom of the hill.

- We do ride out rain or sun as this is an outdoor activity. If the weather is forecasted to be dangerous, we will contact you to reschedule.

I had an incredible experience with Stefon as my guide. He was professional, kind, and informative about Saint Lucia. I did the tour by myself and felt safe and comfortable the entire time. The scenery was beautiful and the horse was well trained and easy to ride. Highly recommend Sandy Hoofs!

This was a great experience and would definitely reccomend to all travellers staying near the area. The guide made me feel comfortable as a beginner with no experiences riding horses, was friendly and easy to talk to. The journey through the coastal area was beautiful.

Great experience. The Guide Safron was excellent. A great rider and nice man.. the ride was just the 2 of us. I have experience riding. The other group was beginners.
We walked the horses to the beach than trotted on the beach. We went up the mountain for a great view. After a break we came back to the beach. Now it was time to run. There I was galloping up and down the beach. He offered to walk in water, but i was tired. We returned to the corral very happy.

My wife and I had an unbelievable time!! We are both first time riders, but that did not matter one bit. Desi was our guide and made sure we were safe and comfortable.
The 2 hr trip was awesome! It felt like the perfect amount of time for the excursion. We had the most fun taking the horses bareback into the ocean. Definitely an unforgettable experience.
The views were crazy. The staff was VERY helpful and friendly. 100% would do again!

This was a really fun experience and would definitely recommend. Neither of us are horse riders but they make it friendly to beginners. Riding a horse in the ocean is something really cool that we will never forget.

It was a good experience and very nice to see the beaches with the horses. Especially with it being a private excursion it made it very intimate. My only recommendation would be to have the guides be a little more peppy and talkative and maybe a better drive way for us with a rental car.

If you are an inexperienced rider you will enjoy this place. They are incredible and take great care of you, the views are amazing and unbelievable scenery the whole 2 hours. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Sandy Hoofs for a great experience

What a lovely little ranch on the island, with plenty of pups and horses, most importantly these are all well cared for animals, in addition the staffing are all gentle and very friendly. My daughter and I did the beach ride it was such a beautiful scenic ride, the ride itself is a bit rougher as the rain washes away the trail leaving behind a rock bed, but the horses are well versed in the landscape

Bareback in the ocean was amazing! Our guide was friendly and very attentive. The horses are well cared for as well as a baby horse and adopted rescue puppy found by the side of the road ..

The 1 hour ride is very beginner, walking only and the guide walked, didn’t ride his own horse. Wear clothes that dry fast or better yet just wear a bathing suit in the water and have extra clothes to put back on.

Absolutely brilliant. Our host Jordan was very friendly, took us along a nice track to two beaches then let us go in the water with the horses. He took our phones and got some brilliant photos too. Horses look really well looked after. Would 100% reccomend.

It was fun until I fell off the horse on a very stoney path as it got spooked by a wild donkey.
This apparently only happens twice a year but it was extremely painful and the guide had no first aid training which I would think would be essential for horse riding.

Such a great experience horseback riding. Simple operation but you can tell they take pride in what they do. I booked the 2hr experience for beginners where the guide is on foot so they dont have to worry about wrangling their horse and yours if that needed to be done. That made me feel safe. They also offer 3hr ride for more experienced riders where the guide is on a horse. Loved that it was a private experience and we had our own guide. Jordan was friendly, very helpful and patient. He took tons of great pictures and videos which was also the benefit of having a private guide. Cool experience to go into the water on the horses (they give you a choice). Horses were well behaved. Owners put thought into matching certain horses to riders based on experience. They think of all the little things to make the experience better like giving you a hair net since helmets are used by several people. The ride was very scenic and peaceful, but also fun as there were some hills. As a beginner this was very doable and I felt safe the entire time. They help to arrange transportation to and from their location if needed. Need to sign a waiver before participating. 5/5 experience would highly recommend!

Really wonderful experience! All of the horses have unique personalities and are all very well-trained and the guides are interactive and friendly - especially Alpha who was our guide! Can even go into the water with the horses! 10/10 experience!

We had the best time at Sandy Hoofs and our guide Stefon was truly amazing! He was funny and provided great chat. He taught us some creole and knew a lot about the landscapes we walked. Our horses were lovely, friendly and fun! And stefon and the horses got us to and from our rides safely. We really enjoyed seeing the Sandy hoofs family and would really recommend this experience during your time in St Lucia

My wife and I had an incredible time. I have never ridden a horse, but felt very comfortable thanks to the guide and how sweet the horses were. The views were amazing, the private nature of the tour was great, and riding on the horses while they swam in the ocean was so much fun. My wife and I loved it and would recommend it to anyone.

I’ve debated writing this review as I know that a negative experience can damage a business however, I think it’s only fair having paid for an experience, I give my honest opinion.
We visited St Lucia in October and I had booked the horse riding at Sandy Hoofs before we arrived as I love horses and hadn’t been riding for many years.
We pulled up and was greeted by a lovely dog who ended up accompanying us the whole way to the beach. We were given a run through of what to expect on the ride and that we would have the opportunity to take the horses into the sea, this was part of the reason I booked this particular excursion.
We were given our horses and our experience started. Our guide was very quiet but I had read his profile on the website which mentioned him having horses for many years and wanted to ask him some questions about his background with horses as I was genuinely interested as spending my working day with these beautiful animals would be a dream come true for me.
Unfortunately, the guide didn’t give more than a one or two word answer. I can totally appreciate that some people just aren’t that chatty but if your job is a guide, surely you would expect some questions.
We continued the walk up to the beach with the odd question to the guide here and there but by this point, it had actually become quite awkward to try and make conversation. So most of the ride was in silent apart from me and my partner talking to each other.
We arrived at the beach and the horses were given a rest, we were given some water and our guide told us we could have a walk along the beach whilst the horses were resting. This turned into our guide laying down for almost an hour with his hand over his eyes whilst we were sat awkwardly fussing over the horses not sure what else to do. It’s a beautiful beach but really not enough to do for that amount of time when really the trip should have been focused on the horses.
Another guide eventually came with a couple, gave them their waters and we chatted for 5 mins to them. They were then instructed straight away to get ready to take the horses into the sea. My partner and I waited as we thought perhaps the reason we haven’t been asked yet is because they needed two guides for this part.
The other couple had their ride in the sea, had their photos taken etc and a third group then arrived.
Our guide then told us to get ready as we were heading back. By this point I really didn’t feel comfortable asking him why we hadn’t had the opportunity to go into the sea because it was quite clear he was happy to walk us in silence.
We also asked whilst on the beach if the horse had an issue with its foot as it was bent awkwardly in the sand, I was genuinely curious and wasn’t sure if it was just a normal resting position. He gave us a very short answer of ‘we don’t walk injured horses’. I felt like he’d taken my comment as an accusation which it truly wasn’t meant in that way, just more curiosity.
We then got taken back and the tour was over. We loved the experience and are glad that we did it, just very disappointed at the guide we had and feel like this tainted the memory we now have of that day. Maybe he was having an off day. However, despite the above, I would really recommend this experience as riding the horses along the beach was something I’ll never forget.

Such a fun experience! The guides catered to our skill levels and made the ride a personal experience. Definitely bring a swimsuit to go in the water with the horses!

Guide was fantastic, staff was nice.. only complaint was 1 horse we were on should be a solo only course not part of a group.. he was not a nice horse the other horse we had was a dream!.. the views were amazing.. our guide got us fresh coconuts and we swam with 1 horse in the ocean.. we will book again.

Sandy hoofs was totally worth the money! Our guide Arkin was so nice and thoughtful! We are chatty people and he was telling us stories about the horses and we learned a ton! Definitely recommend this place!
