Luca was a great guide. He was very informative on the bus ride to the park. The park was beautiful and everything was on time as advertised. Would recommend if you’re looking for a day trip from split and have some time in your vacation.

Richard is an amazing, kind, and knowledgeable guide! We had him for our Plitvice Lakes National Park day tour from Split, and he made the experience truly memorable. Not only did he offer to take photos for everyone on the bus at the most beautiful spots, but he also kept us entertained throughout the journey. The park itself was amazing with beautiful autumn weather throughout the day. Be prepared for almost 6km of walking including uphill and downhill !!

The experience was amazing. We paid the bus + guide fee when reserved and the park entrance by the day. The duration of the tour is 3,5 bus split-Plitvice + around 4h exploring the park + 3,5hours back to split. Our tour girl guide, Sanja, told us all the stories about the place and always with good humor made the tour even better. I recommend.

A lot of hiking, roughly 6 miles, with many stairs up and down. Amazing views. The boat ride was a nice break half way through the hike. Downside is even though it’s October, trails were very busy. People do not move and tend to walk close.

We hiked through the park to the upper lakes, then took a boat ride through one of the largest lakes to continue the hike to the lower lakes. So many waterfalls even during the early Fall.

We had planned our Croatia trip for almost a year, and visiting Plitvice Lakes National Park was one of the highlights we were most looking forward to. Unfortunately, this tour turned into a very disappointing experience.
We arrived at the meeting point about 30 minutes early, as instructed. After entering the park, we took a brief restroom break. We then continued with the group, but there was a significant amount of waiting, including waiting for the guide while she went to Customer Services, followed by a lengthy wait for the park transportation.
The tour operator later described the train ride as approximately 13 minutes, but that does not reflect our actual experience. From our initial restroom break through the transportation and subsequent meeting-point sequence, approximately an hour passed.
The most important issue was what happened at P2. We arrived at P2 approximately one hour before the guide did, based on the timing that had been communicated to us. We were not simply wandering away from the tour. We were trying to follow the itinerary and were already at the designated location while waiting for the guide.
Because of this timing problem, we missed significant portions of the planned route, including some of the beautiful waterfalls and scenic areas that were the main reason we booked this tour.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We are sorry that your day at Plitvice Lakes did not meet your expectations. However, we feel it is important to clarify what actually happened, as the way this review describes the situation unfairly reflects on our guide and suggests that the missed parts of the route were caused by her timing or lack of attention.
You booked a guided group tour. On a guided group tour, guests are expected to remain with and follow the guide throughout the itinerary. At the entrance, our guide explains the route, points out the location of the restrooms, and gives guests all the necessary information about the tour.
In addition, on this particular tour, our guide created a WhatsApp group for the guests. The itinerary and important information were shared there again, and the guide remained available throughout the day so that guests could contact her during breaks or if they needed assistance or became separated from the group. We take the safety and wellbeing of our guests very seriously and always keep an eye on our group.
The important point here is that you chose to separate from the group after the train ride without informing the guide at any point. When you later came to our agency, you specifically explained that you had separated from the group after the train ride. This was not a situation where the guide left you behind or where the group continued without you.
The timing of the guide was therefore not the cause of the problem. The situation resulted from your decision to leave the group without informing the guide, and unfortunately this subsequently meant that you missed part of the planned route.
As was also explained to you in person, we cannot consider this to be an error or negligence on the part of the agency or our guide. On a group tour, the entire group moves together according to a planned route and schedule. If a guest decides to move separately from the group, the guide cannot know where that guest is or whether they have intentionally chosen to take a different route unless the guest communicates this.
It is also worth mentioning that our guide had a guest with a disability on the same tour that day, who was following an alternative, shorter route. Our guide successfully coordinated this situation while continuing to manage the rest of the group and the planned itinerary.
Our guide puts genuine care, effort and love into every tour and every guest. She would never knowingly or carelessly leave someone behind. Her priority is always to make sure that the group is together, informed and safe.
We are genuinely sorry that you missed parts of the park and some of the waterfalls you were looking forward to seeing. We understand that this was disappointing, especially after planning your trip for such a long time. However, we also believe it is important to distinguish between an unfortunate outcome and an error made by the tour operator.
For future travels, if you prefer to move at your own pace, spend more time at particular locations, or have a more flexible itinerary, a private tour may be a better option. A private tour allows the itinerary and pace to be adjusted specifically to your preferences, whereas a group tour necessarily follows a shared schedule and route for all participants.
We sincerely regret that your experience ended with disappointment, but we stand by our guide and the way the tour was conducted.

We went with Larry. He was very informative and spoke well. Kept us engaged. The tour require a 12 hour commitment with travel time of 8 hours and appro4 hrs of walking in the park.

Was a beautiful place and must visit but few issue with the tour . There is not enough time to rest / eat / get a coffee break or restroom break . Rush rush . Nit enough even time to enjoy and take pictures . Another issue was it was a heavy rainy day ( I know it is no one fault ) but the tour company when we ask several times re the risk of walking on the slippery area , they were totally didn’t care and said if we cancel we lose all our money . I was very concern about all the walks in heavy rainy. They didn’t cancel and didn’t seem to care about the risk . Also as a tour u would think most large company tours provide atleast a bottle of water when u r in 12 hours trip . No . The tour guide was knowledgeable but the tour itself has issues that can get better

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are glad to hear that you found Plitvice beautiful and agree that it is a special place to visit. We would, however, like to clarify a few points regarding the organization of the tour.
Although the tour has a full-day itinerary, there are several planned opportunities for restroom and refreshment breaks. There is a coffee/restroom stop during the bus journey from Split, another restroom opportunity at the entrance to the park, another after the boat ride, another at the park exit, and an additional stop during the return journey by bus.
There is also time allocated for a meal after the boat ride in the picnic area. If this particular break was shortened or moved due to the rain and the area being particularly crowded, it is possible that the guide decided it would be more comfortable for the group to have their sandwiches back on the bus rather than remain in a crowded, wet area.
Regarding the weather, unfortunately this is something we cannot control. Plitvice is a natural environment, and rain is actually an important part of what makes the park so lush and green. When weather conditions are genuinely dangerous, tours can be postponed or refunded. However, ordinary rainy conditions do not automatically make the park unsafe. We always recommend that guests check the forecast and bring appropriate waterproof clothing and suitable footwear.
Our cancellation policy also allows guests to cancel up to 24 hours before the tour. This gives guests who know that they do not enjoy travelling in rainy conditions the opportunity to make a decision based on the forecast in advance.
We are also sorry if you felt that your concerns about the rain were not taken seriously. Our guides and team always take safety seriously, but we also have to distinguish between unpleasant weather and genuinely dangerous conditions.
Regarding drinking water, we intentionally do not provide individual plastic bottles on our tours. Plitvice Lakes is a protected, exceptionally clean natural environment, and producing and transporting large quantities of single-use plastic bottles for thousands of visitors would be environmentally irresponsible. We encourage guests to bring a reusable water bottle, and the water in the park is safe to drink, so bottles can be refilled during the visit.
We appreciate your feedback and will certainly take your comments into consideration. At the same time, we hope this clarifies that the tour does include several opportunities for breaks and that the itinerary is carefully planned around the time available in the park.

The park it is amazing. However the weather was not optimal. With the amount of rain we had, it should have been canceled for safety reasons.
Very organized. Richard was a good guide. Be sure to wear/bring layers. We went on a rainy day in early Sept and it was pretty chilly. Beautiful scenery

Plitvice lake national park is a must visit for tourists in Croatia. The lakes and water falls are stunning. The entire park is very well designed and maintained. The tour is well organized from meeting point to bus stop, train ride, boat ride and finish off. Our tour guide, Antonia, is very friendly and knowledgeable. She took a good care of everyone in the group. She is one of best tour guides I have ever met. The entire tour pace fits both young people and old folks like me. Highly recommended.

We had a great time exploring the park on this tour! Our guide Lovro did a great job ensuring everyone in the group was accounted for at all the stops and had a great sense of humor! He also had extensive knowledge about the park and how it formed. The bus ride there was super comfortable and quite scenic. I just wish we had a bit more time to stop inside and soak in all of the unbelievable views and sights. Definitely recommend taking this tour if you can allot one full day!

This was a great value! This trip would not have happened without Viator! Our tour guide who went by Larry was tremendous! He kept everyone on time which is something very unusual in these large groups. Then he found a ear piece I lost on the bus.
