Wonderful tour and our guide, Sanja, was fantastic! Very knowledgeable, funny, and caring. I was probably the most mobility impaired and she always checked on me to make sure I was OK. The walk was almost 6 miles with some ups and downs but this 76 year old with 2 replaced knees made it. The whole area was beautiful. I highly recommend!

Fabulous tour

We had been recommended to visit the Plitvice Lakes National Park while in Croatia in September and we were very happy with this fabulous full day tour with our wonderful guide Sanja and confident and safe driver, Marko. Sanja is a perfect and professional guide - she kept us informed with history, geography and cultural facts and anecdotes in an interesting and humorous way. She also kept track of everyone while also providing some flexibility to those who were faster or slower in pace. Our tour route began with the upper lakes and ended with lower lakes with a hill at the end.The tour is unforgettable with stunning waterfalls, whitewater streams and turquoise lakes giving great photo opportunities. It requires reasonable fitness for the approx. three hour tour along paths and boardwalks and up and down steps. The tour bus stops on the way there and back at a service station with bathrooms and a cafe with eat-in or take-away food as well as a shop. The tour is very well managed by the Booker Agency at Split where the tour starts.

Rushed trip. Little time for photos. Stressful.

The park is pretty although probably best on a sunny day to get the colours. The tour was really rushed and I didn't feel that I had enough time to take photos. I felt stressed about losing the guide especially when we passed or got mixed up with other groups. The tour is very rushed if you do it as a day trip from Split. If you can I would recommend staying at the park and have time for a leisurely day to enjoy it. It wasn't crowded as the tour operator had suggested and they tried to bump me to another day which didn't fit with my travel plans. The boat trip was relaxing. The guide had ensured that we mostly walked downhill for the trip which was much better than going uphill. Overall the guide was friendly and very knowledgeable about the history of the park. The driver was good and I felt safe in the minivan. The group size was about 15 people which was a good size. The company did advise me re appropriate clothing and to bring and a packed lunch as you don't have time at the lunch stop to buy food there. Overall I have mixed feelings about this trip and probably wouldn't do it again.

We had Tanya for our guide - she was absolutely phenomenal! Fabulous sense of humor, and demonstrated very deep knowledge of history surrounding Split - Tanya made sure all travelers in the group knew exactly where they should be and at what time to be there - The waterfalls themselves were just breathtaking- it’s a once of a lifetime experience- yes, it’s a 6 mile loop, but never too strenuous- it was the highlight of our Croatian vacation! Tour company mismanagement

The Park is beautiful but terrible experience overall. The tour company should’ve canceled the tour due to weather and refunded or given an option to rebook another day. Torrential rains, flooding, and everyone was completely drenched head to toe all day in the cold.

This tour is well worth the time spent. It is a full day experience. Be prepared to be walking the whole day, lots of stairs, wear comfortable shoes (no sandals), bring water and food/snacks with you. This tour left from Split. Our tour guide was Antonia and she is the best! She made the entire day fun, shared interesting stories, information and laughter. She made this experience a memorable one!

Although the road trip was expectedly long, it was well-balanced with midway breaks at a rest stop and a decent hike with beautiful views of waterfalls and crystal clear lakes. Spectacular waterfalls

Absolutely stunning lakes and a great tour out from Split. It's a bit of a drive but the bus is lovely and comfortable so it's an easy trip. The day in the park itself is spectacular and worth the drive. You get dropped near the top of the walk and meander your way down through the park and waterfalls before a short boat ride and a rest. Then you finish the walk overlooking the big waterfall. Our tour guide Richard was very helpful and gave us lots of tips, not just about the park but also our stay in Split. He was very knowledgeable. I'd highly recommend this tour.

Great walk with an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide. As expected the bus ride took a while, but it was comfortable and fast, with food and toilet stops on the way. The park itself is fantastic and not too crowded in mid September, although there were a few places where we had to wait on the track. Oh, and there were waterfalls and amazing blue clear lakes.

Amazing National Park

The national park is AMAZING, so beautiful and breathtaking, the guide was also really great. The low review is based on the fact that for the price of this trip, headphones should be given as most of the time it was just you waking through the park and she would stop where there was enough space for all of us to huddle without blocking the path as there was a lot of traffic but it was still difficult to hear her. I think headphones would be really helpful for the guide and us so she can give us information all along the tour and not have to yell for all of us to hear. I also didn’t like that the “partial” tour people weren’t separated, they were just told they can stay with the group or not, which they obviously did, making the group bigger. I don’t think it’s fair that those of us who paid for the full tour got the same experience as the “partial”, I might as well as paid less and still get the benefits of a full tour since I still had to pay to enter the park also. There should be a difference between the groups like the full tour should include headsets as we paid for a guided tour and the partial tour people should not.

Great Park - marred by lack of awareness re mobility issues

Plitvice National Park is an amazing place...worth seeing. Tricky if you are mobility impaired as I am. Viator and Trip Advisor really underplay the access issues. The people in the office were responsive to but referred me to wait to talk to the guide on the day when I informed them of my mobility issues. They did not inform me there were long walks to the bus or from the bus into the park. So in that sense they were not transparent...much like the online portals. The Guide on the day Sanja was excellent 5 out of 5 for her. The bus was comfortable and clean, and driving consistent and safe, so 5 out of 5 for Marko the driver. Sanja, listened and thought it through and figured out the best route for me to take to see as much as possible and I'm happy with the trip itself experience. Why the office staff, couldn't have given me the address to meet the bus at, I'll never know..I could have caught a cab directly there and been a lot more comfortable the whole day... I told them of my mobility issues in writing! Really unfortunate that spoiled the experience. If you have mobility issues, the trail from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1 is about 1km long and almost without steps and relatively flat and you get to see the upper lakes and big waterfall. Thanks Sanja!

Tour Sept 2025- great tour and value for the price. Loved this tour from Split. Larry, our guide, was very knowledgeable and used humor to inform us about Croatia on the way to Plitvice Lakes. Larry then guided us through the four hour tour of the Lakes. He provided us with lots of information about the formation and history of the area while keeping us on pace. This was an amazing trip. Highly recommend. It was a full day trip. The guide Sanja was great. She was a wealth of information and provided stories and histories and local information along the way, but not so much that we could not also just rest and enjoy the trip. She was great and taking pictures, and provided additional tips and information throughout the walk thruogh the park. The park itself should be lakes and waterfalls as it was so beautiful. The day trip itself was extremely well coordinated and went smoothly throughout the drive and time at the park.

This is a great trip! Antonia was excellent. I do not have the words to describe how beautiful this park is. There is one beautiful waterfall after another as you walk along the path through trees and over the majestic crustal clear waters of the park it is a long day but I this is a DO NOT MISS!

Beautiful lakes but too long of a day and too expensive

The lakes were beautiful, but I personally don't think it was worth the amount of time spent in the bus. It took about 3.5-4 hours each way to get to the national park. Furthermore, the activity cost was too high considering it doesn't even include park admission.
