We LOVED our visit to Plitvice! The waterfalls and lakes are absolutely gorgeous, one more beautiful than the next. Our guide, Luka, was fantastic, providing a history of the park and clear directions for each meeting point. The bus ride from Split is long, about 3.5 hours each way, but completely worth it. Wear comfortable shoes and bring lots of sunscreen.

Ivan, aka Sir Richard, was truly a wonderful guide and human shepherd as he joyfully and patiently herded our group through the most beautiful park. With some absolutely breathtaking views, we were so grateful to have gotten a chance to see this national park on our trip to Croatia. The bus ride was so smooth and comfortable from Split. Marco, the driver, did a great job. We appreciated all the stops and pauses for bathrooms and breaks along the way, particularly on such a warm day. Very much worth the day and the money.

Luca was fantastic. Amazing historical knowledge of the city and country delivered in a professional manner and the right amount of content. He spent the right amount of time during the hike at various spots and kept moving the group along at the right place great coordination and ability to manage a lot of people in a friendly manner.

It’s a long bus ride but worth it. The lake is spectacular. The walk is broken up into a mix of train, walk, boat and then walk, which makes is achievable. The photos of this place don’t do it justice.

This was a great tour with our guide, Lovro. He was entertaining, full of countless jokes throughout the day. My only complaint is the number of people on this tour, which I wasn’t expecting. I get it, let’s pack them in, but it was just too many.
There’s lots of shade during the 3.5 mile walk, but expect to sweat. I noticed some folks came wearing bathing suits - you cannot get in the water. Although there’s a stop at a gas station, I recommend getting snacks the night before and bringing them with you. The gas station is overly crowded. There are plenty of opportunities to use the restroom so don’t fret about that.

I think when you sign up for this tour with Viator online they should tell you up front how many miles of walking it will be and over what span of time.
The tour was great but approx. 9kms of walking in the heat was a bit of a strain in the sunnier stretches of the tour.

The tour to Plitvice Lakes National Parks was definitely a great day trip from Split! The National Park is beautiful and a must visit when in Croatia, and the drive there also had nice scenery along the way. Sanja, the tour guide was an amazing guide and made the trip better with her enthusiasm and knowledge! Highly recommend!

Words can’t even describe how beautiful this park is! We almost didn’t do it. We hated using a whole day from our split time. But, after we saw it, we couldn’t have been happier with our choice. Wow!

Richard (guide) and Marco (driver) kept us all on track for getting to the lakes on time, especially with the terrible rain we had on the way to the lakes. However, once at the lakes the rained fortunately stopped and we had a lovely day with less visitors due to the weather having put people off visiting. Richard managed to always be in a spot to direct us in the right direction + the WhatsApp group Richard created helped with information (assuming your mobile had the internet, which we did lose!) We were concerned about the walkways becoming slippery due to the earlier heavy rain, but all was okay. Restaurant menu at the lakes very limited, although it still had a veggie burger on offer, which we were surprised at and it was ok! All in all a very good trip.

Beautiful park with several amazing waterfalls. Long bus ride to the park, but countryside was lovely and time to nap! Park is very crowded but definitely worth seeing. Sonja was an entertaining and fun guide and kept our large group together in a pleasant manner. Would highly recommend.

Wear sturdy shoes, not a place for flip flops! Would also advise taking water/drink with you. The day we visited (13th May) it had snowed the previous day but still warmed up later on.

The tour was a great way to Plitvice from Split. The park is beautiful. Our guide was "Richard", who was very funny and did his best to cater to all styles/abilities in the group. My only complaint/recommendation would be to skip the guided version of this tour and instead do the cheaper self-guided version. I don't know if it's because the park was so busy (it was sold-out the day we were there) or because our group had a wide variation on speed of the walkers, but we all pretty much just did the program Richard laid out for us on our own. There was no ear piece so I honestly don't know how we could've stayed as a group even if there weren't the other issues. It was a looong day but the bus was clean and the AC worked well.

The park and the tour was awesome and what made it even more enjoyable was Sanja, our guide. She did a very good job in telling us about various aspects of the park at every stage. Sanja was very organized and was a master of working with a big group. We would be fortunate to have Sanja as a tour guide in the future.

Potential travelers should be advised that the tour includes a trail from the top lake to the lower lakes and the return walk back up to the meeting point at the end of the tour and might not be advised for guests with walking issues.

We would just like to mention that the tour description on our page clearly states the approximate amount of walking involved during the visit, including the trail from the upper lakes to the lower lakes and the walk back to the meeting point at the end of the tour.
It is also specified that the tour is unfortunately not recommended for guests with mobility or walking difficulties due to the natural terrain, walking paths, stairs, and overall duration of the walking route inside the park.
We always try to provide as much detailed information as possible so guests can choose the experience that best suits their preferences and physical abilities.

Luka was a great guide. Luke shared lots of interesting info about Croatia and made sure our group knew exactly where to go and when. The lakes and waterfalls are incredible, so beautiful! Endless views photo worthy views. The bus was comfortable and the rest stops were appreciated. Lots of walking, mostly at your own pace, but still something to keep in mind if you have limited mobility.

We had a 3 hour bus tide, on a nice coach bus, from Split to the Plitvice Lakes National
Park. We then had a several hour guided tour by Lucca through the upper and lower lakes. Lucca was very knowledgeable and helpful both on the bus and in the Park. It was a beautiful day with wonderful scenery.

The day trip to Plitvice Lakes National Park was amazing. The water is the clearest I've seen, the landscape was beautiful, and it wasn't difficult to get around. We just spent 3 amazing days in Split, Croatia, and 2 of those unforgettable days were spent with our incredible guide, Lovro. Although you can also call him Lawrence or even Larry!

What a SENSATIONAL DAY!!! The park has to be seen to be believed. It as ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. The smell of the pines, the sound of the water and the many falls, and the birds.
So AMAZING at how it is forever changing and growing.
It is a LIVING thing. No wonder it is UNESCO listed and Protected!!! The tour was Amazing with Lovro as our guide From the minute we stepped on the bus, till we departed the bus, he was fun, professional, informative, knowledgeable, and simply a font of information and facts about not only the Park, but also the history of his Country.
