My husband and I visited Croatia for the first time (April 2026). We kept hearing from friends and locals that we should do a tour of the islands. We are so glad we took their advice! Nikola and Duje were our captains/crew members and they were AMAZING! They gave us an experience of a lifetime! The water was pretty choppy that day but they navigated the water impeccably and the entire tour group was amazed of how well they managed through the waves/swells. They were a great team and made everyone feel safe, comfortable and ready for a fun day! The blue cave happened to be closed that day due to the weather, but they showed us some other great spots and even got to check out another cave. They provided jackets for us (if we were cold or if we didn’t want to get splashed by the water). My husband and I also brought a small backpack and bottles of water. The speed boat is fast, so just make sure you can secure your bag to your body (I wore my bag on my chest). My husband and I loved our tour and we highly recommend this experience, especially with Nikola and Duje!

4 generation trip

ladams669, Jun 2026
Fran and Eddie were amazing! Friendly, knowledgeable, and they made the whole experience fun for all ages! There were 4 generations in our group of 7.

Highly recommend this

Antonia is a superb host. So friendly and upbeat and informative. The trip itself is breathtaking. A definite must see in Croatia.

Great way to see Hvar and other islands.

christina_m, Jun 2026
We had the best time on this boat trip. The Blue Cave was closed due to wind, but Mare and Duje still made it an enjoyable experience. It was chilly starting off in the morning on fast boats, but we were provided waterproof jackets. It made all the difference and we didn’t need them the rest of the day. It was the perfect way to explore Hvar as well as some other islands and beaches.

Uncomfortable day

Owen_T, Jun 2026
It will be very uncomfortable for 2.5 hours in the boat if windy at the speed the skipper travels. Swell was 1.0-1.5M & blue caves were closed for safety.

Lorenzo and Duje were amazing on our tour trip. I would recommend going, it’s an amazing day out on the sea exploring some islands.

Amazing tour. Even when...

Amazing tour. Even when the blue caves are closed the experience is still worthwhile and we had so much fun on all the islands. Nicola and Lorenzo were amazing and got us from island to island !!

Great experience. Bring...

Lauren_M, Jun 2026
Great experience. Bring sunscreen, walking shoes and a windbreaker for the boat. Fran and Mare were excellent hosts! Fun and knowledgeable

Fantastic day out

Susan_P, Jun 2026
This was the best trip I’ve been on in a long time. The blue cave was stunning and the island of Hvar great as well with some quirky shops. Our guides for the day were Jelena and Bose. Highly recommend

Dream team from North America

Colette_R, Jun 2026
Antonia and Frane were our captain and tour guide! They were excellent! Disappointed once we got on boat we were told no Blue Cave tour due to high tide! Did some research and found out it is rare that they are accessible! Tour guide asked who wanted life jackets , only to find out none on board! Only emergency life jackets. Also arrived at one island to tour cathedral which was on our itinerary only to find out opened in the evening for mass! The wine tour at the last island was our highlight! Tasting wine and olive oil! All in all a fun day trip with great music on the speed boat!

Speed boating on the Adriatic

Thomas_G, Jun 2026
The boat Skipper was awesome took us to some great sites and explained a lot of what we were seeing. Unfortunately, given the weather conditions, we were not able to go into any of the caves and the water was very choppy and we experienced some rain at the very end. None of it was his fault. To be clear this is essentially a day on the water bouncing across the waves on a 12 person speedboat no canopy or sun protection with some intermittent stops. Was fun for a while then eventually became an are we there yet situation. Touring some of the islands walking around, checking out the fort, splashing in the water to cool off was nice not much to see snorkeling in the swim area though. I think we would opt for a larger boat next time.

Not as advertised

kathy_g, Jun 2026
The boat ride is extremely uncomfortable as you are straddling a seat with bars in front of you to hold onto. The time breakdowns that Viator laid out were incorrect and we did not have 3 hours on Hvar plus 30 minutes each for the cathedral and the fortress. Instead we only had 2.5 hours to do it all. The itinerary was changed and we didn’t do all the islands listed and none of the timing was correct. The guides were not knowledgeable about anything past the names of what we were seeing.

Uncomfortable long boat ride.

Barb_M, Jun 2026
The boat was not what we were expecting. Very uncomfortable The travel time on the boat was deceiving the way the tour was written. The guides did not give out much information about the islands. They also changed the itinerary and did not say anything until they were asked about it.

Great way to see Split...

nhxtbktjkm, May 2026
Great way to see Split and the other islands from a different view. We also saw at least 10 dolphins along the way. Great trip overall for our group of 7.

nothing beats these boats

Beth_W, May 2026
Hvar and blue cave were great but nothing beats speeding around the adriatic on a speed boat! Perfect weather, crew was great, and the music was the best

'Do Not Go'

Karen_D, May 2026
We enjoyed going to visit the actual places but you still have to pay for the Blue Cave entrance & they only take CASH (this is not noted)!! & you literally have 5 mins there although very beautiful. Hvar was lovely but they recommended a restaurant which gave us 10% off, it was amazing food but took soo long we only had 20 minuted left to explore!! The boat supplied wind jacket but there were no LIFE JACKETS which definitely should be mandatory, Viator needs to put a photo of a 'Rib Boat' so called 'Speed boats' on the tour details as these 'Rib Boats' are not fit to go on rough seas. It is highly DANGEROUS. Our boat driver Antonio was a very experience driver thank goodness & coming back we had a north wind so he had to go through the waves which made it totally unbearable & soo dangerous. Some other people on these boats got the ferry back to Split & if we had of known we would have definitely done that rather than go through hell. Antonio said is it extremely hard mentally & his concentration has to be 100%. We actually thought we could capsize a couple of times so thank you Antonio for getting us back in one piece. This tour in NOT for Young children or Seniors. They should not be using these boats, they are not fit for seas & check weather conditions & cancel. So would I recommend this trip 'NO'.

Jet ski adventure

Jennifer_S, May 2026
We went on a windy day, so the waves were large, and the ride was like being on a huge jet ski - we loved it! The island of Hvar is AMAZING - climb to the top for the view. We saw four islands on our tour (Caves were closed) so we had a great variety in where we want and what we saw. Highly recommend if it is a nice day - nothing beats being out on the water.

Ask questions and be fully informed about the day before you go.

Fiona_W, May 2026
That when you get on the boat it takes 1.5 hrs to get to the first destination. The day is mostly on the boat . The return trip is quite turbulent due to high seas and people who have travel illness need to be prepared. Our boat broke down 40 min out from split and that was a bit stressful but the two hosts were good.

Great day island hopping

Yuliya_B, May 2026
We had a great time exploring the islands near Split. Hvar and Komiza were very picturesque. Anna and Antonio did a great job explaining the sites, but, unfortunately we couldn’t hear very well seating all the way in the back of the boat even when the motor was off. I would recommend the team to consider using a microphone, project clearly while facing the audience, or repeat the information for the people in the back.

Great day!

Alene_T, May 2026
We had a great day with Boze and Josip! We did this tour to see the blue cave and experience some other islands to see if we'd like to return to them later in the week for a ferry day trip or use those days to explore other islands/cities. They provided food/site recommendations at each stop and took the time to show us other cities in Croatia we asked about. Highly recommend! The windbreaker jackets they provided for warmth were a lifesaver for us! The ride was long (at times), and choppy and you do get bounced around, but we expected that as you are at sea; which includes variable wind and waves. We were fortunate to also stop and see the Green cave; which was of course beautiful just like the other sites/stops. We had 4 or 5 other similar tours we were looking at and very happy we chose this one!

Amazing

Prashant_B, May 2026
Great experience. Our tour guide Valentina did an amazing job. Our boat operator Nicola was very skilled at encountering and taking us safely through the rough waters. Highly recommend this trip

5 Island Tour

Don_L, May 2026
The travel on the water was very rough, bumby, due to the wind. Our two crew members/guides were very nice and pleasant. But their English was very limited/poor. Their explanations of our stops were very brief and uninformative, which was disappointing. My recommendation would be very lukewarm, especially if it is somewhat windy.

Thrilling? Sure! What I expected? No!

Jodie_J, May 2026
If you know what you’re signing up for this, I imagine this is an exciting day! Unfortunately it seemed a lot of people didn’t and presumed this would a larger boat, going on top of the waves and sea. The boat is a small kodiak style boat, with handles infront of you. It can go airborne with a big wave and spray from you sea can spill up, depending on the wind so if they offer you a jacket - take it!!! There were not enough jackets for the people on our boat so our guide gave up their own. Would not recommend for anyone who doesn’t want or can’t hold themselves in the boat for an 1h 30 which is the longest stretch of drive. We had Antonio and Boze, and despite my apprehensions about the boat, felt safe and they did a good job explaining the history and facts about the Islands. Boze got the sound system working and there was something about passing waves listening to Thunderstruck that kept the mood up! We stopped off on 3 Islands, drove past 2. The sea is May isn’t quite warm enough to relax in but it was definitely refreshing. The boat does not have refreshments, or shade so depending on when you are booking something to be mindful of. Sensible shoes too - the Islands have a lot of rockery and getting in and out of the boat can sometimes be slippery but Antonio and Boze did stay to make sure everyone got in and out safely. The Islands were lovely, and Antonio and Boze did a great job - even stopping to help another boat who had become stranded near the Blue Cave, but if you want something slower and to be able to talk to the people you’re travelling with between the waves and sounds of an engine perhaps look at another tour! Otherwise bring a windbreaker and hat and have a great time.

Once in a life time trip!

Natasha_S, May 2026
Thank you for our wonderful crew Nicolah & Clara! We had a wonderful time and made some wonderful memories today ✨ For anyone who is wanting to book know this is not for the faint hearted! You are on a very fast speed boat, that almost feels like a roller coaster, very much a full adrenaline rush in going and coming back home which we loved 🤭 Our skipper was amazing and navigating the very choppy seas on the way back, we were in great hands! Thank you for getting us back safely

Unfortunately blue cave...

Sandy_H, May 2026
Duje and Antonia are nice. Unfortunately blue cave was closed due to weather conditions but otherwise it was enjoyable. Great playlist on board.

Lovely!

abhsan1, May 2026
More of an adventure on speed boat- bouncy & windy on the boat. Beautiful sights. Excellent staff- Duje & Mare.

It was great tour,...

A brilliant day out in Split

Ramesh_S, May 2026
It is brilliant. We went with Ivan and Toni . They were lovely and really good with the organisation of the whole trip Their enthusiasm was infectious. The weather was brilliant and sights beautiful The sea gets cold so warm clothing is appropriate especially when coming back Worth every penny we paid At Hvar must see the fortress St Clements beach is so pretty

Croatia by ssa

Deborah_T, May 2026
Explore islands and caves of Croatia by sea. Beautiful scenery. Our boat captain Nicholi was experienced maneuvering the waves to keep the boat as stable as possible. It is a rough ride, not for the faint of heart. Our guide was very kind. She shared brief history of each stop. Not in a depth. Blue cave was a favorite stop, a must see.

Great Trip to the Islands off Split

Loren_F, May 2026
Just note you are on a very small, uncovered 11 passenger kodiak-style boat. It's great in warm, sunny weather, but less so on a cold, drizzly day. Pilots are great and very helpful. My family enjoyed the trip.
