Itinerary

Meet your private driver-guide at your Shanghai hotel in the early evening. Then, settle inside your private, air-conditioned vehicle, and travel through Shanghai’s bustling streets as dusk begins to fall and the city’s lights flicker to life.

Make your first stop at the famous Bund waterfront, a stretch of late 19th- and early 20th-century buildings constructed by the British, French, Americans, and other foreign powers as consulates, banks, and other financial institutions.

Stroll along the waterside to admire the grandiose, floodlit buildings, and absorb the views across the Huangpu River to the illuminated skyscrapers of Shanghai’s Pudong district.

Next, travel to People’s Square, the heart of modern Shanghai, and home to gardens, museums, and government buildings. Marvel at the beautifully uplit buildings, including the glowing, butterfly-roofed Shanghai Grand Theatre and Shanghai Museum.

With your camera filled with photos, drive to the theater in time for your acrobatic show. Take a seat in the auditorium, and enjoy a fast-paced show in the best of China’s acrobatics tradition.

Watch as highly trained tumblers, gymnasts, and contortionists perform incredible routines in rapid succession. The show weaves traditional Chinese acrobatics with extreme, modern feats that will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout.

After the show ends, reconvene with your driver-guide and relax on your return ride. Your evening experience finishes with a hotel drop-off at about 9:30pm.

Would have been nice to see the Bund...

Would have been nice to see the Bund and People's Square at night. We went in the summer so didn't see the lights of the Bund, maybe we could have done this part of the tour after the acrobat show when it's dark. One of the main reasons I booked was to see the lights- the picture is very misleading. Our guide was fantastic, very knowledgeable and very friendly. Worth doing but only when night occurs earlier in the evening.
