Zhouzhuang Water Town Tours and Tickets

Great trip - everything perfectly organized by Alana and Shen. Half a day or almost full day trip from Shanghai - as you wish, but this water town is absolutely worth seeing!!!

An excellent tour covering two very different experiences outside Shanghai. Mr. Tom was an excellent tour guide and thoroughly briefed on each site. Only downside was the van was too small for 5 adults on tour. Highly recommended tour.

It was a fantastic tour from start to finish. Elena was a wonderful guide, very knowledgeable and friendly. She and the driver picked us up and dropped us off right at our hotel, which was so convenient not having to take the metro to a meeting point. The van was clean and new, a very comfortable drive out to Suzhou. The Master of Nets Garden was beautiful, a very peaceful and less crowded experience compared to Yuyuan Gardens in Shanghai. Learning how silk is made at the Silk Factory was fascinating. Lunch at a local Chinese restaurant was a fun experience, and the food was good. But the highlight of the tour was definitely Zhouzhang. The town is so picturesque and full of charm. It felt like a truly authentic Chinese experience. The gondola ride was a very cool local touch. We got 45 minutes to explore on our own, which was plenty of time. Then a relaxing drive back to Shanghai. The driver was great too, picking us up and dropping us off right at each site. All in all, it was an absolutely fantastic tour that was well worth the money! 100% recommend!

Our guide Thom was right on time meeting us at the hotel and we had a lengthy drive to Suzhou, but everything went smooth. We spent time in Suzhou and the Net Master Garden and our guide Thom explained the history in great details as we toured the gardens. It is a unique kind of garden involving several buildings that the owners lived in and mostly rocks. After the gardens we went to one of the earliest silk companies in Suzhou and learned the history of silk and its importance to ancient China. The next stop was at the Zhouzhuang which is an ancient Chinese City that is built around a series of canals and waterways. We took a “gondola” ride through the city. It was an interesting place but quite crowded but enjoyable none the less. Thom did a good job guiding us through the 2 sites.

I recently took a day trip to Suzhou and Zhouzhuang Water Town with my guide Elena and it was hands down one of the best experiences I’ve had! From the moment the tour started, everything was perfectly organized, and I felt completely immersed in the rich culture and history of these two beautiful places.

Elena was a wonderful guide. She was both informative and interesting, and made the Souzhou tour a wonderful experience. She topped it off with a tasteful lunch, an educational silk factory tour, and an authentic visit to the water towel with a gondola ride. We highly recommend this tour.
