He was very kind and explained in detail the history of the city and the various legends that permeate every corner of the town. It's a very romantic and charming city. Since I booked at last minute and during Saturday Winter Solstice weekend, I didn’t expect the trip would go on. I think Sunny Tours made a herculean effort to secure my train tickets. Big kudos to them. Our guide Freya was spot on. Always on time, friendly and informative. Bilingual too. She managed to arrange our transportation to all the places despite the huge crowds and jams. Her recommendations and instructions were clear and helpful. She knew we wanted highlights and we managed to pack quite an experience in a day. Highly recommended

This tour is one of the most important for understanding Chinese culture—the number of people one meets at Lingyin Temple proves this.
I was fortunate enough to have Ms Annie as my tour guide. The highlight of the tour was talking with her about China, life, and everything else.
All was most skillfully organized - the car transfers were punctual, we took a bullet train to and back from Hangzhou, we visited the Lingyin Temple, ate a delicious lunch and then strolled around the West Lake. Of course, all customized to my interests.
I highly recommend researching the tour's destinations before and discussing their significance and place in Chinese history with Annie.

This was an incredible tour. First because Linda is an incredible tour guide. She is super professional and friendly and make my day an awesome one. Second, because the entire service is very professional. The drivers are also excellent and the cars brand new. Finally, the flying peak is astonishing and the West Lake amazing. We had a fantastic trip with Lilly. We saw all the tour as described, it was well organised and full of fun. Lilly ensured we had a great time and checked our likes and dislikes, she also went out of her way so that my husband could get a cold drink while at the train station.

Freya was our tour guide. The whole day was a great event. Freya made it the best day ever. She has a quality about her that just relaxes you and makes the tour a very fun event. The driver was also very professional but Freya made it the best tour I have been on. She made us fell like we were family and very comfortable. We had lunch looking out on the fields in which they harvest tea leaves from. Our lunch was private just the three of us on the outside top floor of this restaurant. The view was great, the food was great and the company was great. I just can't say enough positive about this tour. It was out last tour before heading home and definitely worth the money paid. If you get a chance and do this tour ask for Freya.

Excellent pre-follow up from our guide Sunny to make sure we got train tickets an to make sure we were on time to start the tour. We took the bullet Train to Hangzhou that is about an hour away from Shanghai and there was a van ready to pick us up and drive us to the West Lake, then we had lunch in a very nice an local restaurant around the green tea plantations, it was a very nice town. Finally we went to walk around the lake. Sunny did a very good job with the tour, a lot of good explanations.

First impression when we In Hangzhou was excellent 😁😁 Martine is very nice staff, and he speaks English very well. He knew a lot of information about the place that we’ve been 🤓🤓. He took us to the halal restaurant and we had a special meal there and we love that food so much 😋😋 Anyway we had a great time in Hangzhou ✈️❤️🌳👩❤️💋👩💑👍🏻👍🏻

This was a personalised tour for a family of 4 with our own guide and vehicle. The guide spoke excellent English, was very informative about the cultural aspects of our destination and took excellent care of my family (that included 2 young kids). Would highly recommend this tour operator.

We are a group of four from Australia. It was our first trip to Hangzhou. Before making our decisions, we had done some research and read about Hangzhou. During this tour, we had covered - UNESCO World Heritage site, West Lake, tea farm and sample the village lunch, lastly the Hefang Street. These places are beautiful and truly met our expectations.
Sunny was our tour guide. She did a fantastic job and made this tour effortless and stress-free. She took the initiative in contacting us even before the start. Sunny is fluent in English and knowledgeable. Her bubbly character made all of us very comfortable. Our experiences were excellent from start to end.
When visiting China, do not missed out Hangzhou. We highly recommend Sunny Tour.

Rita was our guide for this tour and she was great! She met us right on time and was very knowledgeable about both Shanghai and Hangzhou. She took us to a wonderful restaurant across the street from the tea growing hillside where we watched them picking the tea leaves. We loved the bullet train ride, too. Highly recommend both the tour and Rita!

We booked this private tour for a party of 3 (two seniors, one adult) and had a wonderful time! Sunny was very friendly, knowledgeable, and spoke English very well. During the train ride to Hangzhou, she would point out sights and was very informative on what to expect on the tour itself. At the Linyin Temple, she was an excellent guide and made history entertaining. Next we had a homecooked lunch at a local tea house/restaurant. Sunny did the ordering after asking us for our preferences. Everything was delicious. We wanted to buy some Dragon Well tea we had at lunch so Sunny helped us get higher quality tea at a good price. Then we made our way to West Lake, where we walked around while Sunny provided additional insight into its history. Unfortunately we visited in November, when none of the flowers are in bloom. The lake was still lovely, and I can only imagine how much more picturesque it would be during the spring! Lastly, we walked down Hefang Street, window shopping at the various goods and foods being displayed. After another bullet train ride back to Shanghai, we were driven back to the hotel. The highlight of this tour was definitely the Linyin Temple and Sunny herself!

We are very happy that we have booked this tour. The guide is very knowledgeable and speaks fluent English. She answered all our questions and was also flexible with the itinerary as it has been drizzling the whole day. Like all tours, she brought us to places to buy local produces, but at least not very pushing like some others. At the end of the day, we asked her to recommend some good restaurants in Shanghai, and she even dropped us at the door step at one of them. The two restaurants she recommended are really amazing and we have enjoyed our dinner very much for the next two days.

Take this Tour! We enjoyed going to the tea plantation and taking in the sights. Our lunch at the local tea planter's restaurant was very good. The vegetables were fresh and when we requested for mushrooms to take back home, the owner was more than happy to sell us their kitchen's stock. Our guide Lily was very knowledgeable and helpful. When we wanted to climb up all the way to the top of the mountain temple, she gamely took us even if it was a long way up. Make sure to go up the top, the view was amazing!! Plus our 4 year old adored Lily. She really is very good with children. The bullet train trip was also fun. It was nice to travel like a local. Definitely a must book tour!

It's simple: Do not think, just book this tour you won't regret it. We visited very beautiful places and had a very nice meal. Although I was very skeptical about Asian food in general, she persuaded me to try chicken feet and many other things. I now can confirm that the dishes really tasted great. :- At least for me it seems that the Chinese dishes have in terms of tastes even more in common with Swiss ones than with many other European meals, although I didn't expect that. So it was a perfect experience in which I also could learn very much about the Chinese society and public transportation system. And one word for her organisational talent: It was incredible how smoothly she all the transportation and visits handled.
And for those who are still considering the booking:
I was after three tours with them able to use the Chinese metro network, the bicycle renting service, the Chinese keyboard on my phone to send some simplified Chinese characters around the world, ....
What else could you possibly expect after such a short period of time?

Sunny is an outstanding guide and put together an outstanding day trip for us. Highlights included bullet train ride from Shanghai to Hangzhou and back, seeing many cultural sites and visit and great lunch at tea farm. Drivers and cars both in Shanghai and Hangzhou also were first rate. Overall, we had a tremendous and memorable day. Highly recommended. When I return to Shanghai or Hangzhou, I will hire Sunny again.

This was a fantastic tour to Hangzhou thanks to my excellent tour guide, Sunny. She saw to every detail to make the tour a fantastic experience. The trip to and from Hangzhou on the high speed bullet train was very exciting. The train is comfortable, clean and on time and we reached speeds faster than 300 km/hour. The crowds at West Lake were large because it was a national holiday but it did not deter me from having a great time. We visited an amazing Buddhist monastery with a magnificent temple. Sunny explained everything I needed to know in a thorough manner. But by far the highlight was lunch at a genuine Chinese tea house. Sunny ordered some wonderful food and we sat on the veranda and sipped hot, fresh green tea. It was a wonderful day and experience of Hangzhou.

Lilly was a great tour guide and ensured our day from Shanghai to and from Hangzhou was uneventful and memorable. This is a must trip if you have a full day available. I highly recommend upgrading the bullet train ride round trip to first class if you can..worth every penny. We would definitely look at coming back to Hangzhou in the future for more days as there are so many beautiful places to visit and see in leisure.
