Everything was great and our guide was wonderful. Our only problem was that the owner of the olive oil mill where we were going to visit had a family emergency at the last minute, so we couldn’t make that stop.

To Sevilla with a stop in Ronda

We enjoyed our transfer from Granada to Sevilla with a stop in Ronda. Our driver Joan gave us tidbits and history of some of the towns we were passing through. The countryside was lovely. In Ronda, he gave us a tour of the town, recommended a nice spot for lunch, and took us to great spots for pics. We're glad we did a private transfer.

Ridiculously overpriced and painful day

This experience was extremely overpriced and made for a very long and painful day. Viator charged 807 Euros for the 3 of us but the tour provider charged an additional 548 Euros suggesting a larger vehicle for the 3 of us (which was not necessary), a tour guide instead of a driver (which we did not get), a wine tour and an olive oil tour. We left Granada nearly 2 hours late because the driver could not access the hotel. Another family at our hotel had also arranged for a private transfer and their driver was at the curb on time. The wine tour was at a private residence with a guide that spoke poor English. It was really a sales pitch after sweltering in 98 degree heat walking us through a vineyard after I politely asked if we could hear the family history sitting down in the shade. She continued to walk us through the vines. The olive oil stop was at an empty factory with 1 man sitting in a shop selling olive oil. We were shown a video and then ushered back into the shop. We have booked many tours through Viator. I am contemplating canceling the remaining tours. Save yourself the pain and ridiculous cost of this tour and book a train from Granada to Seville.

Carlos was a wonderful guide. Rhonda is beautiful and definitely worth a stop. Carlos found us lunch reservations with the best view and also showed us around Seville before drop off.

Our driver was warm and polite. He spoke very little English and we spoke little Spanish. So there was little conversation about anything which was disappointing though we both tried. He dropped us off about a 10 min walk from our hotel with no explanation of how to get there. Good thing we had google maps! Exploring Ronda was great.

Thanks, Sally for sharing your impressions. However, they don't seem realistic to us. You were contacted by me several times to see if you needed an English-speaking guide. You first said yes, but then somebody on your behalf contacted us and she never confirmed or answered back to the 5-6 follow-up emails and sms I sent to you. The whole correspondence took 2 months with no answer from you! However, it seems to leave a negative review only took you one day! Secondly, it seems your partner had mobility issues but your hotels were booked on pedestrian streets or in residential areas. Why book a hotel in a restricted zone on the upper floor and expect the driver to enter there with the car? Despite this fact, your driver helped with your luggage and carried it all the way down for you. It was a nice gesture but it seems no tips or thanks were given. As you can imagine we are quite sad to read this review. I believe as a traveler, it is important to be realistic and respectful on our travels. We are a small team, care about our guests and love what we are doing. That deserves respect and appreciation. I wish you all the best on your future travels and smooth communication so you can have a nice and memorable trip.
