Unexpected fabulous tour with knowledgeable guide

We had booked our tour on Galungan, not realising that all promised attractions were closed for public holiday and celebrations. Our driver/guide Sana was very enterprising and took us to various tourist craft demonstrations and shopping in west Ubud instead so we saw batik, silver smithing, stone and wood carving, and a coffee tasting instead. Rather than expected lunch in the market he took us to a beautiful restaurant specialising in bebek dishes (duck) which was in an amazing setting with fantastic service. Our tour finished at Batuan Temple, which was decorated for the Galungan ceremonies and was quite distinctive from other temples we had visited. Not what we had originally anticipated but we really enjoyed the alternatives (possibly more than the original itinerary).

Mr. Nengah is a very passionate of his religion. We learned some of also the balinese culture as visiting museums. It was a half day tour but had seen and learn about the culture.
