Overview

Have a fantastic adventurer on this half day canyoning trip in Ribeira da Salga when you’re visiting Sao Miguel. This is a small group trip, departing around 8:30am. Your professional guides will give you a safety briefing, then lead you on a 30 minute hike to the canyon. You’ll have the chance to rappel over 50ft (16m), and try a jump about 25ft (8m) for some thrills. Note, if you don’t want to rappel or jump, there are other fun alternatives.

The transfer service (pick-up and drop-off) can be booked if available – only in the Full Day option. Pick-up will be provided at or close to the place of your accommodation. When the activity is over, we will drop you off at the same place. Consider this for the city of Ponta Delgada (for other areas, please contact us). Approximate pick-up times – between 8:30 and 8:50 am.

Our guides João and Teresa were amazing. We had the entire trail to ourselves and they guided us through with precision and the utmost care. We felt completely comfortable in their hands, even though it was challenging. Great adrenaline rush.

Great trip. Will be a highlight. Incredible surroundings. My family loved it. Exciting trip through the lush landscape with rappels and jumps that will excite all. Fun for those with canyoneering experience as well. Our guides were awesome. They love their jobs and it showed through their experience and enjoyment of canyoneering. Highly recommend.

Great adventure in the Azores

This was one of the highlights of our entire trip to the Azores! The guides were so accommodating, especially when we went to the wrong pick-up place and they waited for us to start the tour. The climb and trail to the water was an adventure- like going through a jungle, and we had so much fun jumping/rappelling through the canyons. The guides were very conscious and offered options for all levels of comfort when it came to jumps. We enjoyed it thoroughly!

Requires a lot of physical activity, but %100 worth it. We had a blast and saw some of the best scenery we ever had. The tour guides were great as well!
